Food was good. Pho was good. My husband loves the general Tao chicken. The egg rolls are really good with the hot mustard.
Really yummy! Several vegan meal options if you’re plant based but no vegan appetizers (not sure if their egg rolls are vegan or contain egg). They “veganized” their fresh salad rolls by substituting meat with fried tofu and thinly sliced cucumbers for my order, and they were heavenly! Delicious enough to be a regular menu item :)

Great food and good service. Knocked off one star because they seated us ...an older couple .....to where we were surrounded by families with small children.
This food was wonderful at every bit. We moved here to the central coast abt 1 yr and 1/2 ago and not not found that the restaurant here are not that good. But this is the best Chinese food in this area. We ordered the Mongolian Beef it was spicy but delicious and then we ordered the Beef Green Bean, it's was delicious in every bit. We also ordered their Combination Chow Main, it was delicious too. We ordered Hot and Sour soup it was great, we also ordered Wonton Soup , Sizzling Rice Soup, all were delicious. We also ordered their Spring Rolls with Peanut sauce, they were fresh and cool. I just wish they would could cut the vegys up more and then roll the vegys in. But it was still wonderful just abit hard to eat but wonderful. Please support this wonderful restaurant. I wish you would open 1 in Santa Maria. Thank you so much for a just wonderful food and thank you for cooking for me and giving me the night off. We will be back again and again!!!
Food is always good and if you're ordering special like no onion, no MSG you can count on them making fresh just as ordered. Usually fast, pickup during COVID is safe. May not be the cheapest, but never a disappointment.

The Generals Chicken at this place is unrivaled. I have lived from one end of this country to the other, I've seen a lot of strange stuff. I have tried generals chicken at hundreds of places over the last 25 years and it's never come close to Mandarin Gourmet General Chicken. I once drove 7 hours each way to get this chicken. I've planned vacations around the General chicken at Mandarin Gourmet. Go try it, I defy you to disagree.
So delicious, nice atmosphere, good service. Got shrimp veggie dish and was very good. For me, will have sauce on the side if I can.
Such great food!! Highly recommended. The staff was wonderful, our meal perfect and price was good. The orange chicken to die for. We will be back.
I was really suprised when I went here last night. I normally try to only get to go food because I'm not a fan of sitting around waiting in a restaruant.
We arrived and were promptly given water, tea and menus. We were then checked on shortly asking if we were ready to order which we were. Our waiter brought us our other drinks after taking out order and then our food was out on the table in less than 10 minutes easy. It really only felt like 5 minutes. Refill game was on point, drinks weren't empty for more than a minute. Price isn't bad for how much food you get either. I will be down to go here again for sure.
I've been here several times for the lunch specials, and the only time I was disappointed was the time I forgot they're closed on Tuesdays. Generous portions, freshly cooked to order (not a steam table in sight), vibrant flavors without being challenging on the spiciness. Szechuan pork and cashew chicken are my two favorites so far. The menu says "no substitutions" on the sides that come with the lunch special, but the server offered a second fried wonton instead of the fried shrimp which I couldn't eat, so that was generous too.
