Lovely birthday dinner for a friend, they even customized the menu with the heading saying HBD to her! We ordered drinks and starters but I forgot the names of the cocktails - they weren’t that strong though. The pork belly with arugula salad was really good, pork was juicy and crisp with 5-spice seasoning. The raita with naan was tasty, wish we got more. Then came our mains - my friend got the paneer ravioli which she liked and I got the risotto. It was very flavorful with prawn and scallop. For dessert we shared the raspberry sorbet with activated charcoal - interesting mild taste. Service was friendly and attentive, I think the owner came around checking on each table too.

Great semi upscale place that offers amazing progressive Indian food. Our server was really helpful and his recommendations very really good. The restaurant has a seasonal menu and surely uses high quality ingredients along with great flavor. There are a lot of vegetarian options and interesting drink options. The service was slightly slow but the quality of food completely made up for it. Highly recommend this place for a date night. Surely a good find in the tri-valley area.

Amazing addition to the San Ramon dining scene. Dishes were cohesive and delicious. Loved the play between traditional Indian flavor profiles and modern techniques. Drinks were well thought out and paired perfectly with the food, our favorite was the rum cocktail. Service was warm, inviting, and professional. Don't sleep on this one!

Wow!! What an amazing experience! We went with friends for dinner this past Friday! That was the first day of their winter menu! Most of us were vegetarians and the items we ordered were all so delicious 😋 we will defend go back’ our sever Darryl was very knowledgeable and great! The owner Shrikant, came at the end to chat with us asking our opinion about the food! We told him we enjoyed thoroughly! He mentioned they have great lunch menu which is more of the Indian cuisine while Dinner menu is fusion.

Very unique and different flavors! The pulled pork "tacos" were so delicious! Only wish they had a television!

The Salt just opened and it’s definitely a hidden gem. I think they’re only open for dinner right now but it’s definitely a great choice for a nice dinner out. Don’t be mistaken, the Salt is NOT an Indian restaurant. Don’t go expecting cheap, greasy biryani. It is a fine dining experience with Indian flavors. The drinks are absolutely incredible — we had a Golden bubbles and a Spice and they were both incredibly unique, flavorful, and paired well with the food. As for food, we tried the pulled pork tacos (my mouth is watering thinking about them), and the green chicken. The food is a little pricey but the meat is of the highest quality. The flavors were nuanced and the presentation was gorgeous. For dessert we had the sweet potato churros and they were so scrumptious. Service is a little on the slower side (I think they’re still figuring things out) but we really didn’t notice — we were having a good time talking and drinking. Also, the servers are warm and friendly. Don’t be afraid to ask them to help you navigate the menu — they know what they’re talking about! I’ll be back! It’s one of the nicest places I’ve been in the San Ramon area. The quality is similar to restaurants I’ve been to in SF, but closer to home. A great place for a nice celebratory dinner or date night.

Fantastic food, great cocktails, but be warned of slow but friendly service. It's important to keep in mind that it's Indian inspired and not just Indian food. I believe that chef Jerrod Doss is doing something really interesting and my five star support to him for pulling it off!

One of the best Indian Californian American fusion restaurants. The service was outstanding & the food was equality good. We can cardamom lemonade & tamarind sour to drink & both were good. They have a nice non-alcoholic drink selection. We had the onion rings, cauliflower wings & cream of celery for appetizers & they were all good. The cream of celery was incredible. For our main courses we had korma curry, velvet makhani, maharaja rice & garlic naan. Their naan is vegetarian (has no egg). The portions are reasonable. The food is creative & tasty. This is a high end restaurant & it was worth it. The service staff are professional & familiar with ingredients. Parking is in the shopping center. Great to have the owner come by to meet us.

Upscale experience with well done interiors, excellent service and food was great too - something that’s not common with typical Indian restaurants. We went there for lunch and they had a set menu Bento box style which was very cool. Definitely the best Indian restaurant experience so far in the entire east bay. Highly recommend!

One of the best restaurants in town. The place is neat, service is excellent and the best part is the food, the menu is small but has choices for everyone, the creativity of the recipes and the presentation is amazing, and the flavors. It was a great experience and completely recommended. Ample parking and close to I-680, definitely will go back to try the rest of the menu.

Architectural a well-done interior and friendly staff. Reasonable prices, especially given the high quality of the food and the variety. The bento lunches are outstanding. Great wine list. Full bars a nice addition for happy hour.
