Staff is super friendly and provide a more authentic Japanese sushi experience. Omakase is the best way to experience the best they have to offer but you can order off the menu like most places if you choose. The quality of the fish as well as the presentation of the were superb.
Very friendly service. She explained the menu to us and was very polite. Had the baked salmon and the energetic dragon. They were both delicious. The baked salmon was the best. I also like that the crab meat didn’t have a lot of mayo in the mix. It’s usually too strong for me at other sushi places. I would definitely come here again.
We went on a Saturday night and there was one only other couple about to leave when we sat down. The service was... not great, but not bad. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get our drinks because the waitress(/owner?) was walking a couple of regulars out to their car. We were about to walk out when she finally came back in. I'm so glad we didn't leave.
We had some of the best sushi I've ever tasted. All the fish was as fresh as you could expect, and delicious. Start out with the sushi combo, and go from there. I can't recommend the Red Ocean roll enough, it was one of the tastiest rolls I've ever had. The rainbow roll was also delicious. The "Americanized rolls" were good, but the sushi is where it's at.
The sushi chef really knows his stuff, and next time we go, we will be sitting down at the bar. According to the waitress, it's an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant, so if you do sit at the bar, you will be getting whatever sushi (no rolls) the chef chooses to make for you (at least that's what I understood).
As far as price goes, it's not the cheapest sushi restaurant in town, but the food was amazingly good. Don't let the lack of clientele discourage you from trying it.
If you want a great dining experience...come here!
The owner is wonderful and very knowledgeable about sushi. The fish is always fresh and high quality. It's pricey, but definitely worth it!
The service is excellent and there is a great caring atmosphere. The staff really wants you to have a great time. This is the "sushi experience". Not a place to eat and run, but to really enjoy a few hours at. Kick back and have a few sake shots.
We came in here Saturday after getting a foot massage and it really was the perfect ending to our evening. We drank and at for hours, and even enjoyed a few karaoke songs.
This is a must have when it comes to Sushi!
This place definitely has some of the best sushi in existence. They specialize in sushi. Their menu is small, and so is their staff. It is a super intimate setting, and Asako, the woman who owns the restaurant, is awesome! She really loves her job, and her customers. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, and they offer karoke on certain nights.
This is the best sushi experience I have ever had. I flew into Burbank California yesterday (7/5/17) all the way from Georgia. When I landed I went straight to the sushi place which was recommended by the person I came here to see (he has become a regular) I am a sushi fanatic and I eat it every single chance I get. This is by far the BEST sushi I have ever had plus with such an awesome staff. (Owner and chef) I'm such a long way from home but they made me feel like I was so welcome. Wonderful. Highly recommended.
Ferocious sushi with chef's personal touches, including handmade sauces agree where you can taste the difference. The hostess/owner was friendly and gracious. We were lucky to find this place on our road trip , and I will definitely be going back whenever I am in the area.
The sushi is the best I’ve had! It’s so fresh, clean and delicious. It’s traditional Japanese so you’re not supposed to use soy and wasabi because the sashimi or nigiri is already flavored with light and delicate sauces. So good!
They do have “Americanized” rolls available, but if you want to enjoy sushi the traditional way and actually taste the fish, this is the place.
This was our first time at Asako Sushi and we were treated with so much hospitality and attention. I definitely recommend this small and quaint jewel in Canyon Country.
