We came quite late in the evening but been served really well. We took fish and chips, crab 🦀 sandwich and calamari with fries. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I recommend glass of local IPA as well. Our server was very friendly and helpful giving kids refills before they even finished. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We live locally; and Rivas is a top favorite. When crab is in season, we are on the wharf A Lot. We go between two places. One for the bread and outside seating and Rivas for the other dishes - for my husband while I have crab - and the service. This last Friday, early evening, our server was as cute as a bugs ear - do people say that anymore? - with spot on service. The sunset was perfect. I recommend Rivas for a date night, for sure. If there's s wait, it's worth it.
Amazing place. I am here on business so I ate at the bar. Great food, great view and great locals. You’ve got to give this place a try.
As usual we ate at the bar. I had my usual calamari while my husband had the prawns. Both were deep fried with fries and a giant sliver of �. Tonight I had the prawns but opted for a side salad instead of fries. The bartenders are very friendly and you get your food quickly. We also had a cup of chowder and fried zucchini and bread as appetizers. We have been going there over 20 years and can't wait for our annual visit. We also live their gelato. We highly recommend Rivas
Our new favorite place to eat in the boardwalk!!!!! Had so much food had leftovers. The calimari was great, the cod was great, everything was GREAT!!!!! The Banana Daiquiri was the bomb. The prices were good and we priced the whole boardwalk. We will be back. Good job.
Oh my goodness, the service here was just the best! Fantastic people, excellent service and awesome food. I definitely will be coming back.

The first time I was brought here was in 2012 and knew I wanted to return so usually every time I am down near the boardwalk I strive to hit this spot up..love the oyster shooters best price and they're bomb. I also love the clam chowder as far as an entree goes I've enjoyed everything I've had so far.

Lots of tourist traps and this is right on the warf but this was really good. Tilapia Vera Cruz was excellent according to the miss'. I had Philly cheesesteak. Reasonably priced considering the amazing view. Very friendly and tentative. Would recomend.

Possibly the best clam chowder and calamari I've ever had, and I live near the ocean! Service was fantastic, especially given our group size of 18! I would absolutely go back.
Amazing seafood at unbelievable prices. I had fish & chips for $10 and my husband had cioppino for $15. This will now be our go to restaurant in Santa Cruz!

Good menu, good service, fair prices....had to wait about 30-35 minutes to be seated....but what do you expect on a Saturday evening. It gave us the opportunity to sample the wine collection at the bar.
Inventive, varied and flavorful menu with good vegetarian options, all at extremely fair prices (unlike most of the other wharf restaurants). Excellent bar, enthusiastic and thoughtful staff, very cool atmosphere and open late. JUST what the Santa Cruz wharf needed and definitely worth a trip over the hill from San Jose :-)

This is a fantastic restaurant. We stopped in Santa Cruz on the way to Monterey and found this one from a small list of the local seafood restaurants. Based on the reviews, it sounded very good so we decided to visit here first. It didn’t make us regret. The service was super nice, everyone was very friendly and kind. We had the outdoor seating, in late evening, it was a little cold. The food was amazing, good portion, very delicious and fresh and the price is very good, honestly. We definitely will visit there again if we stay or pass Santa Cruz.
Great location on pier. Nice ambient. I would recommend dining inside if you mind birds (pigeons and seagulls) roaming outside. We had the Shrimp spring rolls, Fried fish and calamari with a cup of chowder and salmon filet cooked over charcoal. All items were delicious and freshly cooked+ served. I specially liked the spring rolls and the sauce came with it.
We had dinner here tonight and everything was great, from the service to the food. I had grilled salmon with French fries and a house salad and my companion had fried fish and calamari. We both had mixed drinks. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The bill was only 60 bucks and the view was incredible. I would definitely return!
Stopped in for lunch today and was not disappointed. I had the spicy linguine with clams and veggies, it was delicious. It came with a cup of clam chowder or a salad, I chose the chowder. Again, delicious. Food came out pretty quick, the host and server were both great. Would definitely come here again when visiting Santa Cruz.
Really enjoyed the food here. Had the bread bowl clam chowder. You can't beat the views and the prices are reasonable. Our waitress Danielle was super nice and very accommodating. I was born in Santa Cruz and hadn't been back in 40 years. I was just a little kid when I moved away what a great place to eat to be welcomed back home.
Nice restaurant! Our waiter was awesome and the food was very good.
We dined outside but some areas inside had beautiful views too. It was very busy after Memorial Day weekend but we waited for just around 20 min.
Definitely recommend dining there!

Went here for dinner with my beautiful wife and kids for her birthday. I ordered steak and shrimp tacos. My son had salmon sandwich with fries, wife had crab sandwich melt and for appetizer we had calamari. The calamari were good sized bites. Nice crunch when you bit into it. The meat was sweet and clean tasting. Not fishy like some places. Only downside was it didn't have tentacles just the body cuts but tasty nonetheless. So my steak tacos were good size portion. Steak cuts were pretty good size cuts. Not chopped into minced sizes, so you actually got good bite from the steak. What made the steak taco stand out was the shrimp that was included into it. They were a good complement to each other. The seasoning and sauce were good with a hint of spice all served in a corn taco. My son's salmon sandwich was served in a sour dough roll. Lettuce and other produce were left on the side so you could decide what you wanted to add to the sandwich. As for flavor it was a bit of disappointment. It was a bit bland. There wasn't and seasoning on the salmon other than the char from the grill. My son just dipped the sandwich in the ranch dressing that came with it. My wife's crab melt was full of crab and was flavourful. That sandwich too was pretty good sized serving. Last but not least I had a Rum cocktail drink to wash down the tacos. It was ok nothing to write home about. In my opinion it was a bit watered down and not enough rum as well as not enough of the juices that were supposed to be mixed in it. Over all it wasn't a bad experience. The service was good, the waiter was very tentive checking on us every so often and made sure we were OK with our orders and if we needed anything. What's nice too is they still have out door dining for those wanting to eat outdoors.
