Incredible service, but the wait can be quite lengthy! I highly recommend securing a reservation several days in advance to avoid the 90-minute wait we experienced. While waiting for our table, we decided to do some shopping since it was Din Tai Fung, after all.
Our server recommended sharing plates, and she was spot on. Most of the dishes are designed for more than one person, and we found this to be a wise choice. We ordered a variety of dishes, including their renowned dumplings, which did not disappoint. However, the hot soup was a tad too oily for our taste. On the other hand, the noodles were an absolute standout.
While the rest of the food was quite good, it didn't particularly stand out. Nevertheless, considering how busy the restaurant was, the prices were reasonable, which pleasantly surprised me. The exceptional service was the best thing about this restaurant. Although the service surpassed the food in terms of excellence, I'd hesitate to wait 90 minutes for a table at Din Tai Fung again. It's undeniably a great place, but I'd carefully weigh my options before returning.
My group of 4 was able to walk in with no reservation here at 1130am on a weekday and only waited 5 minutes. When we left there was a much longer line. We tried coming the previous evening but wthe waiting line was way too long.
Service is quite good and the interior is really nice and comfortable as expected. It definitely seemed that most of the servers and staff here were not Asian but that's fine for a corporate chain like DTF.
Our food came out a little more spread out than ideal but it's fine too. Everything was really yummy. This location doesn't really have any specialty items that other locations might have. We got the sour noodle soup, some Xiao long baos, spicy wontons, fried pork chop, garlic beans, and fried rice. All solid. Enjoy!

My girlfriend brought me here because it’s her favorite chinese restaurant in LA and I definitely agree with her! Great place in a great location inside a beautiful shopping center. The restaurant inside is huge and with a beautiful design and atmosphere, loved the big window on the kitchen in particular. Food is delicious with a wide choice, the only regret is that we didn’t eat more to try more things but we were super full! If you like chinese food this is the place!
Very good service.
We checked in and were told 30 minute wait, but they send a text when they're ready, so you can shop or walk around the mall while you wait.
The wait staff were attentive.
The food was great. Lots of small plates for sharing.
A few vegetarian options.
Not really any non carb options.
Well flavored.
Worth-it tier: A-. Visits: 2. Awesome experience as always. Everything feels perfected and precise from the service to the food.
Visited this location twice but also been to other din tai fungs. The fried rice was really good and unique, it does have a more eggy taste so if you don’t like eggs then try something else.
String beans are also a highlight. You can really taste the wok-hay.
Everything else met or surpassed expectations. This restaurant has a high standard across all its locations. Overall, would highly recommend.
It is always such a delight to come here!! Their special Xiao Long Bao is a must. Server is always so polite, and they have some of the best dumplings I’ve ever tasted! Red Bean Sticky Rice is always so good if your a fan of red beans!! So delicious!
Loveedddd the food here. Dining and staff is 10 out of 10 for me. And you have a nice view of the buildings outside. Great experience. The chocolate dumplings with the cold foam was delicious ordering more next time for myself☺️ the dumplings are sealed so perfectly. Everything meal was packed with flavor. Along with a dipping sauce that your waiter can make for you.
Beautiful spot. Great service. Consistent DTF taste and ambience. Can be a wait but usually not too bad. Recommend the cucumber salad, pork XLB, and vegan noodles.
Absolutely delicious! 😍
Everything here was delicious. My must try recommendations would be the spicy dumplings, and the taro or chocolate desert dumpling.
Great location - attached to an outdoor mall to help you digest after inhaling all the food.
Highly recommend.
The dumplings were delicious! Juicy. It was cool seeing the chefs making the dough and putting together the food near the entrance. Definitely share the dishes. Worth the wait.
I was visiting some friends in LA a couple weeks ago and this was the first stop right from the airport.
The food was absolutely amazing! They had many different options, which allowed my friends and I to pick multiple things to share with the table.
I think our collective favorites were the sesame wings and the green beans! I'm still dreaming about them everynight back home.
The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, they had plenty of great recommendations. Our server forgot some orders of side rice, but other than that, they were on it.
I recommend this spot for a family lunch, quick bite with coworkers, or a date night!

Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese gem. I savored their famous Xiao Long Bao, delicious dumplings, flavorful Fried Rice, and garlic string beans. Each dish was a taste sensation, from the savory broth-filled dumplings to the perfectly seasoned Fried Rice. The service was great, and the ambiance was inviting. Don't miss this spot for authentic Taiwanese cuisine and unforgettable flavors.
Pork fried rice was basically perfect, the pork was very flavorful. The beef noodle soup was amazing, the beef was so soft. The pork Xiao long bao was kind of lukewarm, I wish it was hotter when it arrived to the table (but the flavor was great). The chocolate/mochi Xiao long bao dessert was 10/10 the best thing! You have to order it!
We went at a busy time and the wait was 10 minutes for 2 people. The waiter was really nice and offered to explain how to eat the different dishes.

Dim Sum. Bao, noodles, soup, dumplings, greens and a great distinct flavor on each plate.
I get dumplings for entree and sour soup. I add spinach or Bock choy and I'm good.
Other family members get their favorites and we all share.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but taking that as it was lunch time rush. Food is great and bite size. Definitely order a few dishes
The beef is so tender in the beef noodle soup. The spicy wonton is well consistent across all their branches I have been in Dubai, Sydney, Singapore, Bangkok! The place is immaculate- a short wait but they get you seated quick without reservation!
Good food quality with fresh ingredients. Very stable food quality across the globe (been to the Din Tai Fung in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, and many US locations). Love the food and service, but unfortunately no free parking.
Din Tai Fung never disappoints! Everything was delectable. Making a reservation in advance is highly recommended. The service was friendly and didn’t feel rushed even though it was busy at the time we went. The food came out quickly and our server was attentive to our drinks!
