Good cocktails, and very reasonable prices at happy hour. They don’t skimp on the booze either👍 The only food we had was the deviled eggs, but they were very delicious! Friendly staff as well! The only “downside” would be that it is such a limited space, but that actually made it nice and cozy for an evening drink after visiting Venice and walking up to the Pier.
Great place for a cold beer after a long day checking out Santa Monica. Grab a chair on the sidewalk, grab a Corona and watch the world go by.

Classy, charming, yet casual. Walking distance to SM pier, with the best Old Fashioned my lips have ever encountered. Highly recommend the happy hour where you can sample all their delicious sliders - my fav is the little mac. Did I mention they have the friendliest servers ever?! Take your date here, you won't regret it.
This bar is so fun! Trendy, upbeat, great live music with friendly, kind employees. Wish I lived closer because it would be my weekly hang out!!
This bar is one of the best in SM. Great cocktails that don't burn a hole in your wallet, tasty pub food and fun crowd. There aren't many bars on the westside that hit as many marks as The Craftsman.

First time I've been here.....first time I've been to California for that matter. Great service and great atmosphere. For an out of towner I felt like I was somewhat at home. Staff and people were great.....good times! Will definitely come back next time I visit.

It is very, very red in this place. Wish I gave it a try sooner. I was under the impression it is more of a cocktail bar but there are plenty of beer options and very affordable casual bar food. This place, including the kitchen, is open LATE — a hard to find asset for this area. Casual low key slightly hip vibe. Great servers/bartenders.

Cheap, chill happy hour spot in Santa Monica. The happy hour menu has a good range of options for food and $6 drinks. I recommend getting the chicken strips with the honey mustard - they come piping hot and it’s a good thing to share. The tater tots are also the best in the West Side. There are original and spicy options - I prefer the spicy ones, but the original ones are hot and crispy, so you can’t go wrong with those either. They do search your backpack before coming in and will keep your water bottles with the doorman. No one under 21 allowed unless they’re with their parent. We had an issue with getting one of our interns in who was 20, so that was a bummer. There are single stall bathrooms available. You can order at the counter but there’s plenty of seating on a weeknight and servers walk around that could take your order. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and it’s good for large groups to come. Very casual vibe and I see the same bartender all the time. I suggest getting the Bees Knees for the cocktail of choice, although it’s pretty sour due to the lemon. The margarita is also pretty solid. Overall, this is the type of place you’d come after a day at the beach or a long day at work to hang out and just relax with a group.

The bouncer, Renee, really made my friend feel safe. There were some rowdy guys next to us and she felt comfortable having the bouncer keep an eye on them to make sure nothing happens. Glad we felt safe while visiting Santa Monica!
Really laid back bar. Bar food was delicious and the vibe was super chill without the beachy vibe. Just a cool place to grab a drink.

Great spot to stop by on a night out with friends! My girlfriends and I came here to have some drinks and chat. We didn't see each other for a long time and needed a place that was not too loud. I don't drink alcohol, and I had enough options to choose from; I had one of their mocktails.

I love the fact that this place has many female stuff members! Our waitress and the bartenders were extremely welcoming and friendly.

Wonderful place. Great vibe. Lovely staff. Opens late, even on Sundays. And has some classic arcade games indoors too. Good bar food as well.

Even though it’s Tuesday night at 1a, this place still has life in it. Great food offerings, available until 1 and happy hour from 8-close.
This is the kind of place I will fondly remember all my life. The drinks are great, the bartenders explaining with courtesy even with a lot of costumers ordering drinks. The day we were there, there was a live band and oh man they put everyone to dance and sing.
All the people there also singing and dancing and talking to you and I think that's a very Californian thing to do being open to strangers.
Cool place with a good vibe, nice music and an eclectic clientele, but would be a good spot for anybody. Good service.
Friendly inclusive pub with alternative 80’s, 90’s and onwards music playing on tv screens, with some basketball games on too. Nice bar food, reasonable prices, lovely staff on the door, taking table orders and at the bar. We went three out of five nights. Causal dress code but need ID as expected everywhere. Ages over 21yr, but we were a couple in our late 40’s not up for clubbing but wanted late drinks. Not the oldest people in the bar but mostly people in their late twenties/early thirties, crowd of friends and couples. Relaxed atmosphere with no trouble inside or out. Loved this place and if we come back to Santa Monica will
order our first pint here…
I loved this place the moment I heard the music playing from across the street. Such a fun, welcoming environment. Feels like a true down home bar/burger place where the people know you by name and everyone is welcome (think Cheers in a more upscale light. . . Same vibe, more class 😂). Dami and Chris where absolutely amazing. So glad I found this place!
