I ordered the chefs special hamburger, sans the cheese. The egg,bacon,avocado and burger mix was amazing. Other family members had the lobster roll, ahi tuna, and fried chicken. They all said it was delicious! The veggie chips for snacks and the calamari were outstanding. Great variety of cocktail mixes and beers and wine! We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant, the staff and how quickly they were able to accommodate us! I would highly recommend this place!
A great indoor/outdoor open design sets the tone with for a great ambiance. You have the indoor coziness with TV screens but feel like you're also outside on the great Santa Monica streets absorbing all its great energy. While we were sampling a variet of great food and drinking really cold draft Belgian beer, other friends walking down the street spotted us and soon our party grew and the staff Accommodated. From our waiter to bar tender, Keith, to the manager, we all experienced excellent customer service. Can't wait to go back đź‘Ť
Amazing food and Amazing view of the Ocean! The pastrami gravy fries and Clam and Gravy fries will leave you craving this place-- Again!
We love Plan Check and never miss it when in Santa Monica. Sometimes we drive from Laguna Beach just for Plan Check.

Open air seating. Friendly staff. Food was good. Tried the Fried Calamari, which was served with a tangy sauce. Very delicious. We ordered the Plan Check Burger PCB in both "Regular" and "Beyond" versions. The Beyond Burger was actually quite good, though the regular burger had a lot more flavor when tasted side by side. The "ketchup leather" was interesting, though I wasn't impressed by it. We finished our meal with a Key Lime Pie Donut which had a lot more donut than we anticipated. Very sweet, but also very, very good. Overall A+ meal.
Burgers are amazing! A little pricey but great service and chilled atmosphere. Well laid out and spacious interior. We had the Plan Check Burger and the Southern Fry Burger which are both awesome. Fries were not outstanding, but solid. Pepper mayo is also recommended.

I might have had the best burger I’ve tasted in my life over here. The star of the burger is clearly the meat, it’s incredibly juicy and I can see the juice leaking from the side when I pick it up. It’s seasoned well and cooked to perfection, the taste is amazing. The tomato purée sheet adds an interesting flavor and I loved the toasted buns. Flavors come together like a symphony in my mouth. Slightly pricy, but worth a try. I just had Gordon Ramsay’s burger two days ago in Las Vegas, this one has the same price tag, but it definitely outperformed that in the flavor aspect. The mango soda is also delicious.
The PCB would have to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had SO MANY burgers in my lifetime. The party just melts in your mouth, super juicy, full of flavour, and loved the ketchup leather. If you’re a burger enthusiast, add this burger to your list! Didn’t take long to be seated, more to get my food.
This is a great place for a meal. We had the fries as a snack and they were excellent. A great vibe with an outdoor seating area with happy hour and sports on the tv. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. Service was acceptable but not outstanding. A nice place to try when in Santa Monica!
I've been to this place last year and had a blast.. I went back this weekend cause I never forget how theirs food tasted. However, the food is still incredibly good same taste which is pretty impressive.. y'all should try their chicken sandwich with the 🦆 ham it's pretty unique... The only one star missing it's because the bartender doesn't know how to make a drink and the service wasn't actually that good.. we ordered dry martini and it was awful I even asked why it's missing the olives then the brought couple olives in a small plate!! Just get a straight drink or a 🍻 and you should be fine ..but probably you might get the beer in a wine glass ... But still the food is a better experience

Last time I came here, I forgot to record a review. So I came back with a friend this time. He knew about it because he saw a Facebook video on it. So We ended up sitting outside. We got seated really fast and it was semi busy. This place has an open dining room that you can see from the outside.
We ended up ordering the charcuterie platter with the chef burger and pastrami fries. Don’t judge but this meal alone was probably 3k calories lol. But it was soooooo good.
They made the egg over easy and perfect cooked tasty meat burger. The yummy pastrami fries came in a good portion but a bit pricey. It is okay to splurge once a while. It was my first time maybe only time.
So They did have a good cocktail menu with a full bar but I decided cut some intake calories. :-/
The waitress was super sweet and paid attention to our table even after we got our food. She refilled our waters a few times and checked in on us.
Overall, the experience was amazing. Next time I come back, I will have the dessert!.
Very nice location, outside area was heated while we were there. Service was only ok,I ordered regular fries and got sweet potato fries, the empty plates were just left at our table, and I didn't get any refill. Also the coke didn't taste like cola nor Pepsi, would have been nice to know ahead. The food itself was very good and the atmosphere was great.
Yummy fried chicken, had lunch in the sun but wasn't too hot. We asked for the bill twice and waited a little but the manager gave us some free donuts - such a nice gesture!
Would gladly come back!

Came here for lunch with a couple others and sat on the patio. The sign at the front says to seat yourself but a hostess did come out and seat us. Plan Check is a mini restaurant chain as there’s other LA locations but the one in Santa Monica is nice because you could spend a day at the beach and come here for happy hour or dinner! I got the cedar plank salmon because I was trying to be relatively healthy ($22). The salmon was slightly undercooked and had skin which I liked, and came with a side of brussel sprouts and red potatoes in some kind of sour cream sauce with chunks of cheese (salty and good). The Brussel sprouts were nicely roasted although I did find a hair in one of them. The Plan Check burger is also really good. The “ketchup leather” is interesting but it’s a concept that works. You can order fries on the side and make them chili cheese fries but the regular fries are satisfactory. Our waitress was quick to refill our waters and to bring the check. They bring the credit card machine to your table which is cool so that you can do everything at once. There’s a full bar and it’s a good place to hang with a group of friends. The vibe is Fathers Office-esque. You can park at one of the public Santa Monica lots for 90 minutes free and walk over to Plan Check, as street parking will be difficult.
I found it to be a cozy place with a warm friendly staff. The menu is great and the drinks are creative. I very much enjoyed the crab dip which is different than any other I've had. It seems to be shredded crab ( so no lump meat) with several cheeses. It was quite savory! There's open air seating and it's located about a block from the carousel on the SantaMonica beach.
Good food, just missing a star for slow service and because their chicken burger was made up of pieces of chicken, which is a way to cut the amount of chicken used per burger
It was nice, although it's a small establishment, they should chairs for their waiting guest. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was good. I had the lobster roll and it was fresh and tasty.
PC Burger is the best. Very good beer selection. Friendly staff. Delicious burgers. There are some off the menu items so don't forget to ask.
Maybe the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Dessert was really good too!
