Best of the best, love all the pastries , place is very clean, very European, nice atmosphere, great place to stop for delicious cappuccino or to have breakfast or lunch . Bought bread today and definitely can compete with bakery's in Europe, my favorite place in Sarasota area!

On our way to Geier's we found this place listed on Google and decided to get a bite to eat there. As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted and invited to try a sample of their Black German Bread smeared with butter. Delicious. We sat down and ordered some of the house Chicken Gulasch Soup and a Weisswurst plate. The soup had soul and the wurst was presented in a bowl of broth with a real German side salad. Everything we asked about their offerings was pleasantly explained and afterwards the owner sat and chatted with us. There is magic at the Thomas German Bakery and we will definitely be stopping there whenever we are in the area.

Oh...my...gosh!! We knew we were in the right place when both people behind the counter were speaking German to each other. The flavor, the flakiness, the textures were ridiculously delicious!! What a quaint and cute little cafe! Adorable! Also, if you are looking for an authentic hand made coffee of any kind (latte, Cappuccino etc.) a large Brass Brasilia from Italy will create a coffee you will not forget nor will you find anywhere else. Filled with friendly snowbirds and German officianado’s, this little gem is our find of the year!

Great place for breakfast. Delicious bread. Nice people working there. Good breakfast blend coffee. Smells nice. Moderate prices ($$).A lot of pastries and sweets. Beautiful girl behind the counter. Open on Sundays, credit and debit cards are accepted. This place is really highly recommended.

The perfect bakery with amazing pastries, bread, and a large selection of schnitzels. The owner (I’m assuming) had a strong German accent indicating her heritage to the country and her enthusiasm for cooking really shown through as well as her friendliness. I would go back anytime.

I had the pork schnitzel. It was legit. Best schnitzel I have had in the US. The potato salad was awesome and also legit. If you like authentic German food, come here if you're in the Sarasota area.

Thomas German Bakery is Amazing!! As serendipity guided me to find a place to satisfy my sweet tooth, I discovered a hidden gem. I was immediately greeted by the lovely bakers and sight of mouthwatering pastries. I saw the cherry and apple strudels and knew I had found what I was looking for. The first bite of the apple strudel was a moment I'll never forget. Baked to perfection, the apple was delicious with a hint of a crisp, the pastry was flaky and heavenly. Today was the first day I went to Thomas German Bakery, but it won't be the last!

Wonderful little café and bakery! The German owners and operators are very kind and personable people, happily offering samples of their delicious goods, realizing you'll most likely realize you can no longer live without one of them. The food is all from scratch and fantastic! The pork schnitzel I had was amazing! Prepared well and a little thicker than the super thin ones (which is my preference). And the sweets... Yum! Quaint, clean location with a simple yet fantastic menu. Don't miss it!

Oh my God, this bakery is Amazing! I had a a little sweet tooth and was cruising around looking for something special. I saw the sign for a German bakery and thought I would check it out. I was immediately warmly greeted by both the lovely bakers and the sight of gorgeous pastries. I saw an apple and cherry strudel that looked too tempting to pass up. I got two of each and returned home with my box of goodies. I opened the box, and cut a few pieces for my family. The first bite of the apple strudel was a moment I'll never forget. The apples were baked to perfection, with a hint of a crisp, with a warm and sweet finish. The pastry was flaky and seemingly melts in your mouth. The cherry strudel was dare I say, even better. I walked in curious visitor, I returned home a hero, and will be back, often. :)

Visited bakery 4 days in the row while on vacation. Absolutely amazing and delicious cookies, pastries and etc. Owners are friendly and have a very personal touch to every customer. We have visited another German Cafe near by, but would recommend this one over the other any day.
