I'm obsessed with this place. I'm from TN and I make time to come here every time I visit. The food and the atmosphere is great! I would recommend this place to anyone
This is a fun little burrito place on A1A across from the beach. All the seating is outdoors. The food is good, and quantity plentiful. This is not authentic Mexican, but they don't claim to be. It seems to do a steady take-out as well.
This place is awesome!. This place was awesome the burritos were huge toppings were great the guacamole was good but the hot sauce is what really made this place special. My favorite being the gold hot sauce and it seems to be a curry mustard base. I highly recommend this place my only complaint is the grilled chicken could have more flavor and the steak could maybe be a little bit better cooked with a nice seared crust. I highly recommend that anyone visit this place as opposed to going to your local burrito joint!
Best Tex-Mex in town! So fresh and a fun place to eat!
The Perfect Chicken Burrito. The Insane chicken burrito is a perfect meal all on its own. It has all the food groups, super healthy, huge portion, Delicious, fast, consistent, and provided with a smile every time. If you like hot sauce, try asking for it to be rolled in gold. Wash it all down with a bottle of ice tea and it is like a slice of heaven.
Best burritos around. I've had many, many burritos.....but you can not beat DA KINE. They are the best around, and set the standard. I like the pork......usually get the mini, 'cause i am a lightweight. I got the BIG B, but could not finish it!
Caught them on the news for their 100% inspector score. Great job. The food was awesome and used the Gold sauce. Just the right amount of heat( I am not a huge fan of sweating through my meal). The staff was really friendly and helpful even during a rush. I am a new fan and will be back. Have the Insane burrito with chicken and a red stripe.
Yes for sure!...Insane Burritos. I daydream about returning w/friends/kids to Da Kine Diego's for the Insane Burritos!
Maybe I'll swing over to A1A on Friday!
Da kine's is my favorite local place, and I don't even normally like Mexican food! The people are nice and its a cool atmosphere. Don't pass it up!!
Good burrito shack. Da Kine Diego's burritos are probably the best in this area. My favorite spot for a quick bite.
Amazing. I have no idea where all these poor comments are coming from. I eat at DaKine often and have yet to have a bad experience. The Chicken Gringo is out of this world! I now live out of state and make it a point to hit up DaKine at least once or twice when I'm in town. Beautiful place on the beach and wonderful employees. It's also cheap too. Ever since I've turned my family onto DaKine they can't get enough. Truly a great place to eat.
My question is at this time 90% of the people "like" Diego's....who are the 10%.....wow, best $17 I have ever spent eating out. Seriously! I was thrilled with the food. If you want fancy this is not your place. If you want beach side and why you live beach side this is the place! I have went by this place for years and just have never stopped....my fault... Great food and please someone explain to the other 10% to get a life!
Win Some. Lose Some.. I appreciate Da Kine's for what it is. The flavors on everything are spot on. My only complaint is that they overstuff their burritos with that damned rice. I love rice. Rice is cheap and you're trying to make a profit....BUT put some meat in it for Pete's sake. For what they charge, there needs to be more killer, less filler. I'll try it again soon.
LOVE IT!. Wonderful food, great people, good prices!
Best Burritos Beachside!. Delicious is an understatement! Yum! Mini B with Lizzie sauce is a must....at least once a month! Great menu, fair prices, fun hangout....
Best burritos and did I mention they are HUGE! We come to Melbourne almost every year and this is our first stop!
The BEST burrito I have ever eaten in my life! Very reasonably priced and worth the drive if your in the area!!!!
Best. Burritos. Ever. Seriously! Great food for a day at the beach!!!
Yummy Burritos. Something tasty, something quick, and at the right price. The kids love it. Aways a winner!
Just Great. Great food, Great prices, Great staff (Friendly and helpful). Obviously not a first date or impress a business client kind of place. Get a few beers and eat with friends kind of place. I look forward to returning with friends.
It was ok..different sauces were delicious!
Great Burritos, Laid Back Style. I used to put away their insane burrito, which is really enough for two people. Now they wisely offer smaller burritos at more reasonable prices. They have soft drinks and beer. And it's all in a covered outdoor setting that's perfect after the beach or a kayaking Samsons Island.
Great eats!. This place is always good-never had a bad meal. Try the big b burrito if your really hungry or just the little b if your just hungry! This is one of my favorite burrito places!
Cool little outdoor spot, perfect for after the beach. It can be uncomfortable outside on hot days, but perfect for after the beach. Good food, especially the gringo, which I recommend. Definitely will be back when I am in town again

Simple food, Casual Environment. The prices are insanely low, outdoor only seating is well covered & totally kid- proof. Something we look for in a restaurant these days. Walk around the seating to find a SANDBOX for the kids! Greatly appreciated! Though we've never actually used it, appreciate that it's there. The food is good enough to hold our kid's attention... love the addition of fresh red peppers & cilantro into the food. You can add red bell pepper to anything for some additional $. It's really one of our favorite spots here. Affordable, delicious & not at all pretentious .
Insane Burrito. True beachside surfstyle with HUGE burritos and other mexican food.
Ambience - Expect to sit outside after ordering your food at window. The place is filled with locals.
Food - Fresh! All the ingredients seemed fresh. Simple menu for the staff to deliver to very successfully.
Cleanliness - The work environment they were in seemed clean as I glanced over the counter. Out in the seating area the tables were cleaned off. Not too much you can probably do about the flies zooming around in mid-summer.
Service - Order from the window, pick up. They did not mess up my order and it came out in a reasonable amount of time.
Price - Fair price for a good meal. Serving sizes are large for your hard earned dollar.
All in all, a beachside recommendation for a very good burrito for a good price.
The Bomb Diggity. Don't let the line deter you! It is well worth the wait. My favorite dish is the Chicken Gringo.
So good!. Yum yum yum! Da KINE is the perfect after beach spot! Massive burritos, cold drinks, and a fun beachy atmosphere. good cheap eats!
California Style casual. Perfect post surf session, menu is california style food, don't expect traditional mexican. very fresh tasting, jasmine rice is the bomb. All seating is outdoors under thatch umbrellas, all the drinks are bottles in the cooler.
Fun spot, good food. Good food, good service, good prices, fun place to people watch. Nothing out of the ordinary, but the food is good and the price is right.
Very nice! Tried for the first time yesterday and I loved it. I would recommend this place to anyone.
A must. Everything I go over to the beach I try and grab some Da Kine Diego's.... i even have one of there stickers on my car!
Honestly its one of the two places I eat here doubles and da kines can't survive without my daily chicken gringo :)
AIDS Test, Really?. There is almost all good to say about this place, but before that, I've gotta ask "Homer32" about the review where they "tasted blood" on their bottled beverage, and found "dried blood" around the rim, and "AIDS tests aren't fun." Seriously? At an A-1-A situated outdoor (former Putt Putt) establishment that stores it's beverages (most imported from Mexico for authenticity) outside, your first reaction to the taste of rust under the rim of your bottlecap is that it must be dried blood and you've possibly been exposed to AIDS? Get a grip. Did you go get an AIDS test? If not, your comment is basically libel. What you most likely tasted was oxidation from the bottle cap, which has iron in it; same as blood, which has iron in it. I tend to wipe the rim of a bottle before I drink from it, but I also tend to breathe through my nose.
In any event, defamation aside, Da Kine is a truly unique institution. It is cheap, healthy, well-received food and has a tremendous following if you've been in line at noon. There are comments here that it is bland, that's why they offer a number of excellent sauces bottled for them in Costa Rica (Auntie Lizzie is our favorite). Their atmosphere is absolutely one of a kind. Got little kids? Go sit with them in the sandbox out front while you eat, or let them run around in the side yard where they randomly show surf or family movies on their bamboo screen.
Some have commented that the staff is rude. The staff is mostly teenagers, mostly surfers, and I've never seen any of them being "rude" by the standards one would expect of an open air restaurant across from the beach. These are good kids. Satellite Beach is unique in Florida in that it is a real home town, not a tourist destination, and Da Kine's is really geared to that, although it never has a "locals only" vibe. This is an excellent place to have healthy, cheap food with your family, and maybe soak in the reason SB is a best kept secret.
If you are expecting your Mexican to include a Margarita, go a 1/4 mile north to Cantina Dos Amigos, and then you'll have food you can call bland. If you want what you have been conditioned to believe is Mexican food, go 2 miles north to Taco Bell. Enjoy.
Da kine's got a great atmosphere... Must try the gringo, it's out of this world
Good, not great. Good food just not amazing. Love the atmosphere but the food is just so-so. $5 for 2 tacos where I had to pay extra for cheese was a little odd to me but you're on the beach and it's to be expected. BF had the carne bowl and loved it. Great lunch spot to carb up at after burning calories surfing waves.
Great shack!. Just to clarify, for anyone looking for true Mexican or Tex-Mex burritos, this isn't it....think more California style with grilled meat (chicken, pork, or steak), jasmine rice, black beans, and sour cream flavored by one of their own different kinds of hot sauce. Burritos are huge (even the "smaller" sizes) and there are a few other menu items available although most center around the same theme. My vegetarian friends had no trouble finding things they liked here and go back often. Very casual atmosphere - so great for lunch after walking off the beach and across A1A or, as in our usual case, picking something up on the way home from work. All seating is outside, which can get too warm for central FL in the summer, but is covered and typically comfortable. Their own brand of hot sauces are really what add such great flavor to the food - from mild to hot- and are worth purchasing on their own. Also, although it may be more of a kid thing, I loved following up my "Mini B" with the fresh pineapple with chocolate sauce. Yum!
This site is correct. That was a damn good burrito
Loved it!. Great place to eat, affordable, super nice people. love the feel of this place. worth a drive to try it out.
Da kine diegos rocks my socks, blows my mind, and is the best gosh darn burrito joint I have ever had the pleasure of eating at :) !!!!!!!!
Don't forget the Shaka!. Great place with some of the best local culture and THE best burritos in the county. Food is fresh and portions are plenty big. Beer selection includes several Mexican labels which pair nicely with the burritos. About every month or two a movie is shown on Fri/Sat night on the back lawn.
Friendly atmosphere, good location, great food, sizeable portions, and easy on the wallet. What's not to love?
Huge Burritos!. Located beachside, Da Kine's has great beach atmosphere. You walk up and order, then sit at the tables nearby and wait to pick up your order. The burritos were big, so bring your appetite. Tasty and made to order.
A local standby. Always fun, fresh & friendly. You know what you're getting at Da Kine. We just had take-away steak carne barney bowls last night and the food's as tasty as ever. Just one suggestion if you're eating there is to ask them to go light on the rice on the burritos and bowls. Sometimes they can overdo it.
Da Kine Diego's Insane Burritos is a fun little burrito place in Satellite Beach. The restaurant was listed as the #1 place for cheap eats on Urbanspoon in the Melbourne area, so I figured it was worth a try! Da Kine Diego's had a really cool eating area with giant palm umbrellas over their outdoor seating. It also looked like they had a screen set up behind the restaurants to potentially show movies. The line winding out the door when I arrived was a good sign that this place was worth a visit. I had one of the Insane Burritos filled with chicken, beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and salsa. The burrito was quite large, equivalent to what the chains like Chipotle give if they're generous. It was also served with a nice little instructional card about how to properly eat the burrito for the uninformed. The burrito was good, especially with the addition of the hot sauces that were kept up front by the kitchen. My only complaint was with the cheese, which had somewhat of a slig
Really cool place right across the way from the beach. Good vibes and food. Steak burrito was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the steak and I wish the insides were physically warmer. All that said, you get a lot of burrito for your money and I WOULD go back and try a different burrito!
Better late than never! Saturday, July 30, 2022, I visited friends in Palm Bay, FL from Virginia. My friend Becca took me to, what she regarded as, the best local spot to eat. She was right! The atmosphere was casual, with semi indoor/outdoor seating. The heat from the parking lot, surprisingly, stays out there. I remember good air flow and no discomfort while eating. The staff were so kind to me and took time to show me their offerings. Couldn't have asked for nicer people. I ordered the chicken Tacos Libra and nachos with guac and salsa; my friend got a veggie burrito bowl. The food was AMAZING. There was literally nothing wrong with my entire experience! I'll be going again my next visit! Hopefully next month!
We love Da Kine Diego’s Insane Burritos and their plant based chorizo. Well my wife and I also enjoy the hot sauces available. Environment is relaxed and beach/surf inspired. Service is usually quick and food is hot!
Every time we come to visit Melbourne, we HAVE to stop by! A big burrito is better on an outdoor patio w/ friends! Especially when it’s an Insane Burrito drizzled with homemade hot sauce 🤤
We highly recommend this local little spot. Everyone is always so kind and the food is incredibly fresh!
💛 @tastetravelz
Was recommended this restaurant by a friend I met in Pittsburgh, said I had to try it if tacos are main food group, lol which they are. I got the gigantic burrito and it was pretty good. Felt like I've had larger more flavorful ones loaded with sauce at other restaurants but this was elegant. All the ingredients were fresh and it was put together with precision. The hot sauces were delicious. I think this definitely earns a return to it to knock my way through the menu.
Note this is a laid back place for sure, walk in and it's a beachy rustic looking place with flip flops nailed to all the walls. Order your food at the counter and pick it up when it's ready. You can get your food to go or to eat in on paper plates. Super simple and home feel to the place. Solid food 👍

We love coming to Da Kine Diego's for lunch. The atmosphere is really laid back and fun. We had a delicious burrito and salsa. As usual, we had some of their hot sauces which are amazing. Great place to enjoy lunch. We will be back!
Awesome surf shack burrito joint right on A1A in Satellite Beach! Insane burritos (and tacos and bowls too) in a laid-back, come-as-you-are outside eatery, complete with covered tiki hut. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but my go-to is the plant-based "chorizo" burrito. Add a cold beer or 2 and this is the perfect beach break!
Stopped for a burrito, the pork was recommended. It was very good, sorry I forgot to take a photo of it, but large enough for 2 people to split. Could have handled a little more pork. The outdoor tiki facility was very appropriate for the location.
Ordered here 3 days straight for a recent trip. Vegan food was not easy to find, but this place offers a vegan chorizo. I grabbed it in the insane burrito with all the non dairy options with the vizayo sauce. Makes for a tasty and plentiful meal. 100% will come back for more! Tiki hut vibe and super welcoming staff.
Nice place with a friendly staff. I got the veggie burrito and it was truly enormous but a bit bland. Beans don’t seem to be seasoned very well. The hot sauces are tasty and added the much needed flavor to my meal.
I love this place and I love the food.
I love the nostalgia and how the doors are open to the ocean breeze. The food is excellent and I have enough food for 2 days.
Really good burritos. Didn't feel super heavy after eating (full, absolutely, but not the greasy heavy). Loved the little kids area out front. We were able to enjoy a few drinks whole the kiddos played.
