Affordable and yummy Indian food. No complaints just not the best Indian food I have had, but might be the best in the area. Would recommend friends check this place out if in town.

Good food. Affordable price and appropriate portions. Quiet place and good view. To have an Indian restaurant in a small place like this is huge, couldn’t ask for more.

Indian food to the finest at best price possible. This place gave me a reason to visit this small town outside SF. The food is brilliant and so is the service. The lady here is really considerate about her guests and takes care of their preferences. The food taste is authentic especially for vegetarians. There are good options to choose from even for starters. Pricing is brilliant. We ended up paying 85$ for 5 folks who ate their heart out. Awesome place. Must recommended if you are in this town.

I would not say the food is an authentic Indian 5, and I do think it was better a few years ago. In terms of Indian food this is a 3.5 or 4, but healthier However, it's reasonably priced ethnic food in a pretty white town and it's comforting and relatively good quality, with an authentic spice level if he thinks you can handle it. The mango lassi tends toward the sweeter and more juicy kind. Tikka masala dishes are different than before: more of a slightly creamy tomato sauce than the tart creamy rose sauce before.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sartaj Indian Cafe with my family, and the experience was delightful. The cuisine was not only delicious but also remarkably fresh. The staff, particularly Suvash and Prashansa, provided exceptionally friendly service. The Chai was truly legendary, and the restaurant offers fantastic options for vegetarians. Our Thanksgiving dinner was a joy, and we're already looking forward to returning for more delightful meals.

Nice place and good service. Ample of Indian dishes and price is really right. This place is good for family and is not an upscale place. It's a good restaurant and you can enjoy every meal. Goid for kids. This place does provide beer and tea as well. Parking area is low and there is not much for disabled parking. This area is near the beach and one can easily commute to it.

A friend suggested this place. I am glad I drove through those scissors to find this place. Had amazing food, kinda chill atmosphere. The mango lassi was amazing. And to top it all, the owner was the most warm and welcoming person I've met in my life. Kudos to him and the restaurant.

If you are in Sausalito this place is a must go for Indian Food Lovers! An authentic north indian food you might not find any where in bay area. Owners are super sweet and every single dish we ordered blown our mind away. You will get a taste or indian dhaba or it might remind you of your really yemmi Moms food. Paratha and Mango lassie was the winner but definately try verities of thali and the chapati is the best I have ever had. Must Must Must Try!!!

As an Indian visiting the States, this place serves awesome home cooked food. The taste was amazing and it was a small, cozy place that served veg as well as non-veg food. Enjoyed eating here. Thanks for the good service.

This restaurant is worth waaaaaay more than just 5 stars! The food is beyond delicious! My daughter who won’t eat Indian food otherwise, couldn’t stop raving about the chicken samosas! I wish we lived in the area to be able to enjoy this gem more. It’s a must try for Indian food lovers in Sausalito.

I stumbled upon Sartaj once before while walking through Sausalito just before the CoVid19 shutdown. It’s a tiny cafe/restaurant that is def family run! Today, it was mid afternoon. Didn’t have lunch yet. Found Caledonia Street from memory. A crowd of people were eating outside in the blocked off pedestrian patios on the street. Went inside to order chicken tikka masala. It comes with basmati rice. Also ordered the almond chai tea (which is help yourself). The dispenser was at the bottom so there was only a mouthful or two of chai. Took awhile for the dispenser to be refilled. My food came and was delivered promptly. Gotta say the food was not hot temperature wise. Maybe it took some time to get brought out. Disappointing. Needed a little salt to bring out the flavor of the tikka masala. The chunks of chicken were dry :( I could have added an extra $4 on to get veggies and naan. I was not THAT hungry. Passed. I really have to try this place when the restaurant‘s kitchen isn’t so overwhelmed. The food probably would be hot and taste well seasoned. Food: 3.5 stars ⭐️ Ambiance: 3.5 stars ⭐️ Family effort for running this restaurant: 5 stars ⭐️

I went on a Sunday evening. The masala tea is good. For $4 you get a good quantity. The momos are a disappointment though. Please don’t order! The samosas are nice as well.

Self-service Indian chai (they had regular milk and almond milk) was very, very good. After a tiring day, this chai will relieve the tension and give you the boost to feel self. Oh, and the vegetarian samosas was quite good too. Do give a try, and you won't be disappointed. Thank me later :)
