Dated decor, smallish and everything that's right with an American diner. Skip the chain restaurants and stop by what should be Savage's contribution to "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

Best food around. Anytime someone visits us from out of town we always take them here for breakfast. No one has ever been disappointed yet!

Where do I begin!? This place is located in a kind of commercial area, could easily be mistaken for an auto shop. However, don’t let the facade fool you. There’s straight magic inside! We didn’t have to wait long at all for a table. The host and serving staff are so kind. Service was superb. We started breakfast with biscuits as gravy (which they make from scratch in house). They were delicious! Then, we all ordered our own plates. I opted for basic hash browns and eggs. The potatoes tasted so fresh as did just about everything else on that plate. Probably the best breakfast I’d had in quite some time! City girl approved, for sure! Can’t wait to visit my friend again and eat here.

If you're looking for a basic breakfast, e.g. eggs, toast, pancakes, hash browns, coffee, this is the place for you! The hash browns were especially made well! No waffles, or anything frilly, but a great place nonetheless if you're looking for a basic breakfast! Our waitress was friendly and our kids had a great time!

I passed by this place so many times before. I finally decided to go in. Ordered 8oz steak breakfast combo. Great hash browns. Also got gravy and biscuit! Loved it. A great breakfast place. It’s been opened for a long long time. Friendly staff. If you want to support small business at times like this, go try this place. Not some franchise please

Good environment. Excellent servers. Chilli soup is awesome. Great coffee. Onion rings very good. I expected strawberries and whip cream in my french toast, but they are plain.🤷🏽‍♀️ Bacon, perfectly cooked. I recommend it. Servers are not using masks😩

LOVE this place! We try to come every other week at least! The place is small, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but the hearty food and friendly service is worth it. You can tell the staff know each other well and genuinely enjoy their jobs. They recognize regulars and are very laid back. Of course, the food is delicious every time without fail. They serve breakfast all day, which is what I always get. Love their pancakes and bacon especially! Not to mention, the prices are very good for the portion sizes. If you're looking for a hot, fresh, classic American meal, then stop by Windmill!
