The menu selection was smaller than we expected, but we easily found things we like. The mussels were the best I've ever tasted! The grilled okra impressed this southern girl! Sarah was a great server! Would definitely ask for her next time...and there will be a next time!
Our experience here was top-notch in every way (the absolute best on our entire weeklong trip in Charleston and Savannah)! The atmosphere was intimate, the lighting was romantic, the décor was chic and warm, and the music was downtempo and chill. We received complimentary bread to start, which was soft and delicious with herbed butter magic on the side. The cocktails and food were exquisite and comparably priced to other upscale establishments we visited. For dinner, we ordered Caeser Salad, Grilled Strip Steak, and a half order of House Made Garganelli. The salad was delicious (enough for 2), and we appreciated the presentation. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted divine with the black garlic demi-glaze. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the Bolognese was oh so flavorful with just the right amount of sauce. What elevated our experience to the next level was our amazing server, Calia(?) who was attentive, on-point with timing, and gave us incredible service. She helped us celebrate a recent life event without prompting, and we were sincerely grateful to her. So glad to have tried this incredible restaurant and cannot wait to return on our next visit.! 10/10 gold stars!
Comfortable, local, unassuming and delicious! I wanted to try this gem when we lived here several years ago and never had a chance. So for our vacation date night we drove over from HHI to indulge. Food was spot on (the creamed corn was addictive, just sayin) and the service and feel of the place was special. Thanks to the waitress, chef, and staff for a fantastic dinner.
This restaurant is nestled in a quiet, historic neighborhood near Forsyth Park. The food is locally sourced, therefore, the menu changes frequently. The bolognese and duck confit were my favorite, though much praise for the grilled to perfection ribeye. The fish and chips was an interestingly delicious combination of crunchiness of the potato and the tender bed of fish blanketing the potato. I’m glad I tried that too.
This is the perfect spot for a date night, celebratory dinner or simply to enjoy deliciously prepared, clean food. I would have given this a 5-star rating had we not experienced a server who seemed less than interested in the menu or being engaging with us. For the price, I expect a more engaged and enthusiastic server. With that said, that will not deter us from visiting this unique place the next time we’re in Savannah.
Fantastic chic hip spot with terrific service and excellent food. Music playing is low key super cool alternative at just the right volume. Atmosphere is beautiful, elegant modern but warm. We started with the heirloom tomato salad which was light fresh and delicious. For dinner the grilled strip steak and halibut. Both excellent. Highly recommend this off the beaten path restaurant.
My wife and I stopped in for dinner Saturday night. My steak was amazing and perfectly cooked, and my wife can't stop raving (and craving) the white fish curry. Service was too notch as well. We'll be back during our next visit.
The service what's traffic. I was by myself so I sat at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant as was the atmosphere. I ordered the sweet onion tart to begin with. Honestly, it was not very good. It was a tart shell, probably pre-made, filled with some sweet onions topped with a dollop of goat cheese. Blah. There wasn't much flavor other than sweet onions. It was cold. And not very good. For dinner I ordered their pasta with bolognese sauce, the starter size. It was good. But pretty basic. Their wine selections were great can't complain about those. But overall, the menu choices were not fabulous and what I did order was so-so. I do go back to the fact that my server, the bartender, was fantastic.
Absolutely amazing food. This was the best place I ate in Savannah. The atmosphere is quaint and comfy while still being fancy. The are fully staffed and hustling. Their signature drinks are very good. They have a full bar including tawny ports and disarono to wrap up your meal. I would 11/10 recommend over any other place in DT savannah. From the bread and butter to the night cap, absolutely impressed.
Thomas, our waiter, and this restaurant deserve a 5 star. This night, we were exhausted and had our kids with us. And he helped us pair food that we would all love. The food is exceptional. Thank you for being kind as dressed down as we were and making us feel comfortable to try a meal the family way.
