I can’t even describe how unbelievable our meal was here. Save for room for desert and don’t share! Everyone in your party must get their own so you can have more to taste. You’ll thank me later.
Update: 3rd trip to this restaurant and have yet to eat something we didn’t love. This place is fantastic. Service is always impeccable. Can’t wait to go back!
Update: went back for my 4th time today and had Bouillabaisse and hubby had Provençal shrimp. Omg. This place is my fave in Savannah. Here’s 3 new photos from tonight.
This place is awesome! GREAT service! The food is amazing! I got the scallops and a seafood Plateau that was delicious. We sat at the bar and had two amazing bartenders! I highly recommend this place to anyone that comes to Savannah! Excellent!
I have eaten at restaurants all around the world. This restaurant consistently is excellent. Better than most of the French restaurants I have eaten it in France. If they continue with this quality of service you should definitely visit.
Try the rabbit.
Our food was wonderful! A perfect place for an anniversary or romantic occasion. Our dinner entrees were AMAZING. We ordered banana foster for dessert and the manager gave us a wine paring for our anniversary. Best dessert wine I have ever had! Great restaurant!

Unexpectedly excellent. While The Grey and Husk get more positive press, this restaurant--attached to the Embassy Suites but standing entirely on its own merits--deserves praise. We started with the Provencal mussels, wonderfully fresh and steeped in a light but richly flavorful fennel- tomato broth (snow-white shaved fennel slices sat stop the ivory colored mussels like delectable confetti). We had the duck confit cassoulet and the seared scallops (the latter with wilted arugula, mushrooms and small fusseli pasta), both excellent. And the by the glass wine list: impressive. Imagine a glass of Washington state Merlot with grapes sourced from the Wahluke slope in eastern Washington for $8, and you will know that someone is buying wine with an eye to quality and value. The 2015 Brouilly was equally pleasing. Most Charleston restaurants have nothing on Rue de Jean.
Wonderful food and friendly staff. We walked in without a reservation at 6pm on Friday and were seated right away at a booth in the bar area. The only downside to that was our sever (the bartender) took quite a while to clear our plates and get our check to us, but we were enjoying ourselves so it wasn’t any trouble to us. I️ highly recommend you give this place a try, the food is delicious and fresh. If you like cheese you HAVE to try the cheese plate!
My swordfish was excellent! Perfect level of doneness. All 7 of us loved our meals. Surprisingly, the sushi at Rue is SO fresh and tasty. Who knew? Sushi at a French restaurant!
It was good didn't care for the crab cocktail which was cold snow crab legs. Great restaurant overall!
Lovely experience! We had a reservation for 745 and arrived about 15-20 minutes early, the host met us at the door (we entered from the street entrance) and walked us to the host stand. He reassured us it was no problem that we were early and sat us immediately. Our server was the perfect amount of attentiveness without being overbearing. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir, an appetizer of escargot (don't eat all of the bread, the creamy sauce the escargot comes in is TO DIE FOR-- to want to dip the bread in that sauce. My husband ordered the 10 oz filet with Roquefort, and I ordered the 16 oz Ribeye, also with Roquefort (16 oz was way too much for me, but ribeye is my favorite cut of beef). The steaks were cooked to PERFECTION (Both medium rare) and the flavor was wonderful. My young son had the kids Salmon dinner and his salmon was also perfectly cooked, tender and flaky-- he devoured it! To end our meal we ordered the creme brulee. The custard was delightful, creamy with a delicate vanilla taste, the only mild disappointment was the top had not been bruleed enough so it didn't have that "crack" when you tap it. Otherwise perfect meal, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic staff. Amazing all around!!!!
Excellent. Coq a vin and the ratatouille were excellent. A perfect Sunday night dinner. Maureen is loved
