Beyond impressed. A beautiful welcoming atmosphere, servers were friendly, very accommodating and on point. Food was displayed nicely and taste to die for. Definitely a recommended go to place.
This was the first visit there for Steve and I.
The atmosphere was wonderful. It is cozy and classy. We were not crowded at all and the temperature in the room was perfect!
The bartender was informative and attentive as well as the waitstaff.
We found the prices to be more than fair as we had four courses with two glasses of wine and paid just under one hundred dollars.
The lobter bisque was the best we have ever had albeit a little cooler in temperature than we prefer.
The calamari was perfectly seasoned and cooked, not at all chewy or dry. It was drizzled with just enough balsamic and chopped sweet tomatoes. Their jalapeño bread fresh out of the oven was spectacular (note, it IS rather spicy) Steve had the mahi mahi. It was out of this world! I had the braised beef and shrimp and it was also very very good.
We spent two lingering hours there and enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to go again.
Highly recommended!!!!!
One if the gems of the Capital Region! My wife and I went there for our anniversary. We had delicious meals. She had braised short ribs which were the most tender meat I have ever tasted. I had the mahi mahi which was equally as amazing. The service was 5-star. Our server, Kate, was the best. Already making plans with friends to return!!
I was there Saturday evening with my family to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Everything was perfect from the cozy room with the fireplace to the carrot cake with a candle! The Glass Tavern never disappoints. Kudos to the wait staff who are always attentive and friendly. A great place for special occasions.
Just love this place so much! Delicious food, drink, raw bar, great staff, you can bring kids, and great atmosphere!
First time there. My husband, Philip and I loved it.
Staff is excellent, decor is wonderful, comfy, cozy atmosphere.
Blood orange cosmo and pineapple mule delicious.
Food excellent, portion sizes are great, just enough.
I ended up ordering dessert to take home, peanut butter explosion....delicious.
Prices are fair and a lot better than I thought as online menu doesn't list.
We will be going back.
I had reservations on Valentine's day for 5pm and asked for a booth . I have been here previously but this was the best dinner experience I enjoyed here . My date and I arrived a little early so we sat at the bar and had a drink . The bartender was very personable and friendly . She was also very knowledgeable about the special drinks and beer selection they serve . Once seated at our booth for dinner the waitress came over and gave us our menus . She was very friendly and personable . She told us of the specials for the evening . My date and I ordered shrimp cocktails for appetizers . They were pretty good but would of enjoyed them more if they were a little firmer . They were just on the soft side .. My date ordered surf and turf and both were cooked to perfection . I ordered the sea bass and lobster special . It also was cooked to perfection and tasted so good !! I would definitely reccomend and come back here based on my experience last evening . Food was great and employees were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for such a great dining experience !!!!
After a reservation disaster at another restaurant, we made a last minute reservation online for the Glass Tavern. Expecting to eat elsewhere, we showed up underdressed. This didn't phase anyone we encountered, everyone was warm and helpful. We had no wait for our table, and almost immediately had bread and water. Kim was fantastic! Friendly and timely with every piece of our dining experience. All of our food was high quality and cooked/seasoded perfectly. The filet sliders and lemon garlic aioli that came with the crab cakes were stand out. We will defiantly be back!
Have been for holidays , birthdays , taco nights and quick burger and beer nights . This place is always great !
It was our first time there, and we live less than a mile away. We were there for buck-a-shuck night and thoroughly enjoyed the oysters. We decided to do the appetizer route so we ordered the lobster bisque, which was phenomenal, the calamari and deviled eggs. We enjoyed everything. To be honest, I probably would have been satisfied with just the oysters and the bisque, but wanted to sample a bit more of the menu. The service was helpful and attentive. We’ll be back!

Great food! Great atmosphere! Awesome staff!
Highly recommend! Will definitely return!
This is the second time we have eaten at The Glass Tavern. Both times we have enjoyed excellent food and superior service. Thank you Chandler and Kim for making our experience awesome!
Fabulous. Sat in the Library. Very cozy and decor was perfect. Then you read the story of how this decor came to light...Love. Rich in tradition and family heritage. Melted my heart. I love a great story.
Our waitress was very kind up beat and friendly unfortunately I have forgotten her name. Nice wine list.
Food was very delicious and portions were just right. Highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be going back.
Food was excellent. My hamburger was cooked to perfection and the fries are to die for. The tuna appetizer was like no other. Only negative is that they don’t serve bread. You only get these spicy muffins, which are not something you expect to have before a hamburger. They should have a choice for plain, simple bread. 😞

Small portions, so don't expect a take home container for later. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious. Love their jalapeno corn bread so much that I make it at home on a regular basis. My personal favorite is their fresh raw bar. Ahh, the oysters! Great service and very nice place!
This place is the total BOMB!!!! I loved their oysters, mussels and everything they serve. They started off with this amazing jalapeno cornbread that was just moist and tasty with little bit of kick. Came on a Monday night for their oysters and mussels special. I ate wonderfully at this place. This is definitely a must go place if you crave great seafood and service.
Was in the mood for seafood and was not disappointed. We ordered the Raw Bar for Two, frites and lobster bisque. Plenty for both of us. Ate at the bar. Great service. Will definitely be going back.
It started off rough we had made a reservation for 4 people, we noticed we were running late I believe it was 20 to 30 minutes . We called to inform and they said OK no problem, all set. When we got there we were informed there was no table available for us. I was upset but I understood . We sat at the raw bar grabbed some apps and waited for a table to open up. It was their jazz night so we listened and talked with a glass of wine and the apps. A table opened up for us near the fireplace which was awesome, I was happy about that really sets the tone, we ordered dinner and wine starting to enjoying ourselves, the host tells us that one round of drinks were on the house. We were stunned and thankful they had saw our distress with the situation. After dinner they also offered us complimentary dessert. Thank you Glass tavern for an excellent customer service we will be back and the book idea is really awesome.
