Great place to eat and the owners truly treat you like family...Also, the sauce they make is top notch-- it's not ketchup sauce, it's DEFINITELY the real deal and you might feel like you were transported to Italy....They might be a pizza place, but they also have authentic Italian food --not that Olive Garden wannabe Italian food, but food they slave in the kitchen making from scratch...Highly recommended by me and I'm one of the most pickiest eaters in North America.

Our first time there, was Excellent, best lasagna I've had in years, and the thin crust pizza was absolutely dealfishes. Small quaint place, only about 10 tables or so, but if you have to wait, it's well worth it. I can't wait to go back to try something else...

Last night I went to dinner with my family. The food was excellent as always. Our waiter, Davide was excellent! He asked us what we wanted to drink, took our orders and came back to check on us numerous times. This is a family run business and the service here is always fantastic. I go out of my way to recommend Giuseppe's to anyone looking for a little taste of Italy in the area.

We went to Giuseppe's last night for dinner. I am originally from Italy so I really haven't found a true authentic Italian restaurant around where I live until last night. It was a last minute decision because the restaurant we wanted to go to the wait was too long. Am I so glad we came here instead. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the San Benedetto The Pesca bottle on the counter which I have not had since I've moved to Indiana. Right away I knew this place was going to be good. We ordered Italian Antipasto and Arancini for appetizer. Both delicious and the arancini were similar to the ones my mom makes. Then we ordered pizza for our dinner. I got the simple Margarita Pizza and words can't describe how amazing the flavored were on such a simple pizza. My fiancé got the Chicago Stuffed Crust with Sauage Pizza, he went nuts over it!! We were so full but I ended up taking a Tiramisu home because it just looked that good. I can honestly say I fell in love with this restaurant and will be returning for the excellent food and also the service was great too.

Fantastic food at very reasonable price.. Their specialties are brick oven pizzas(Primavera Pizza~ Arugula, Prosciutto, garlic, tomatoes, fresh parm and mozzarella, highly recommended). Veal parmesan and Arancini is awesome as well and don't miss on the calamari!

Pizza here is good! Just a little annoyed at the mozzarella basil that never has any basil (you will get 1-2 basil leafs) dine experience is pretty bad with the service being the main reason. So next time I'll probably only order to go and will definitely ask for extra basil (so that I can get a normal amount)

The atmosphere was classy yet down to earth. The service was amazing and very friendly. The food was made from scratch and piping hot. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was AMAZING. You can really tell the ingredients were fresh. My daughter and niece got the Shrimp Alfredo and let me try the shrimp. Also AMAZING! I can not wait to go there again.

Usually always 5 stars. Tonight, and lately, a little lacking. No silverware on table... Had to ask for it after appetizers were already brought. Chicken dumpling soup was off. Had a green tiny and a flavor or pea soup... Not sure... But it was not eaten. Otherwise, the pizza was excellent. My wife said her gnocchi was decent. Service was good. Although some things were off tonight, still a must recommend. I wish they would expand somehow to allow more seating... So many get turned away because there's no available seats.

Amazing food. 3 of us. Salad, soup for the kid, bread, pizza, dessert to take home. We were completely stuffed before the pizza was served. Salad was house salad but filled you up by itself. Ended up taking 3/4 of our pizza home. I've been eating slivers of it all day, I feel so fat lol. The place was great. $49 plus tip. Best place I've eaten in a long time by far.

This hidden gem is a place to dine! Everything is of the highest quality. I've eaten here several times and have been impressed everytime. The rolls are exceptional! I've had the fettuccine, meatball sub, meatball sides, and pizza. All represent Italy superbly!

Update as of January 29th 2022. : After a while this restaurant gave me some joy last night. It's been long two years of so so experience with them. They delivered me my favorite dish from this place "Stuffed snd rolled eggplant and spaghetti" and it was 4 stars- very good! It just needs a bit more work on the sauce, and it would be 5 star worth. Dessert was awesome as usual - Tiramisu and Cannoli I am returning 4* grade for this place, hopefully it will progress to 5* soon! //////// /////// //////// I am degrading my five star rating to 3!! I had unacceptable experience tonight, with lukewarm- almost cold soup, lasagna , garlic bread.. which altogether ruined otherwise solid food. That's not acceptable for such highly marked restaurant and pricey food! Period! Not to. mention it is not, to say at least, good etiquette to serve someone cold soup(which was meant to be served hot) even if you didn't take money for it and give it out of charity to a person.. But then again especially if it was paid for and not cheap! Soup was also very watery by the way. Then a person who was on the phone left me speechless with her hurrying to who. knows where.. instead of listening carefully to my objections, which I gave in order for the restaurant to repair their online ordering menu problem. She did not understand my intentions and answered only part of my problem. Then asked me about what kind of Gelato i wanted.., but when I. asked what tastes did they have, as usual with these people she had to leave me waiting on the phone for fifth time to probably ask around (!!!) . which is so frequent in Giuseppe's restaurant practice, that it became customary rudeness there. So... How come you ask me something, that you yourself are not knowledgeable about, as you should be in every moment, cause it is your job to be in the know, your business, not mine?! So..ordering with this people, this place, Is getting to be more. and more tiresome experience, which it mustn't be!! That's why we the guests pay YOU GOOD MONEY so that we could be relaxed, not to cook or warm up your restaurant's (paid for) food ourselves!! In case you people forgot why we give you our monies . I feel like I pay you, to do your job instead of you . Now, if it was not outrageous, it would have been ridiculous!! For more than a year since I became regular here (pick up customer ) I left them a lot of money for excellent food! They became one of my favorite restaurants, certainly in top 3... and I receive this!?. Pretty odd service..getting worse every time.. well, now it must be fifth time in a row! All of this and more, is the reason I'm revising (which I delayed for couple of months now)this restaurant's rating from 5 to 3 stars Update 6/7/2019 :Same female person was again disrespectful, hurrying me and had unpleasant tone of voice saying SHE had guests in the restaurant as if I called to chit chat, abd actually she called me to ask about which Gelato I wanted! !! OMG! Unheard of! I reminded her I am a guest too!!THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!! Other staff members made sure I was treated as guest should be, and corrected matters. I would be very sad if this behavior continued, resulting with me not coming back. August 2019. : Giuseppe's is improving their customer skills in some aspects, so I'll be adding one star back. Hope they will continue their positive track, to their guests satisfaction Another thing that should be done is improving their online ordering site, because some items cannot be ordered online like extra bread and spumoni chocolate "bomb", probably something else too. For now, a person can order bread online - through catering menu only, but that moves order 2 days later, which can pass unnoticed and it almost happened to me, but the restaurant called me and verified and corrected the matter. Thanks for that

Hidden gem nestled on a side street in Schererville! Service was exceptional, we had a lovely server who was easy to speak with. We ordered the Margherita. Crust was fluffy but 4 stars because it lacked basil which I see a few other reviews here mentioned. The Italian beef was also great as well. Prices VERY reasonable. Would highly recommend over any other pizza shop in the area.
