The Italian Hoagie is my favorite. I love everything about this place from the old school vibe / decor to the awesome hoagies. Casella’s is one of my first stops when I get into Scottsdale. Make sure to bring cash because they are “Cash Only.”
Stopped by for a carry out lunch out today as I was looking forward to tying this local family owned joint.
The staff was friendly and helpful on my two selections.
I did the Pepper and Cheese and wifey did their Ham and Cheese. I will say their bread is amazing and soft and the sauce used for the P & C was sweet and savory. Loved it!
I had a bite of the Ham and Cheese and it was great. My P & C was good but I think if there was a toasted bread option, that would've been great. Since the heat of the sandwich and given it was rolled up in Aluminum Foil, it made the bread a little squishy.
If I go back, I feel either eat a hot sandwich there or stick with the Cold sandwiches.

Absolutely incredible experience! I did go when Larry Fitzgerald covered everyone's meal 😆 The staff was amazing and enthusiastic, Not to mention how energetic and happy Joe was😍😆😁 Even the people in line were great. I got there early but they were still running out of the stuff that people recommended (chicken salad sandwich, desserts, and 🤔 well almost everything I asked for lol) I love the staff I asked a lady to surprise me especially because I am new. She did and WOWZA 😍 the meatball is awesome which btw I'm not a fan of meatball. I can't wait to go back to try so many things 😆😆😆
I have been enjoying Casella’s since 2002. They have always been kind and the food never disappoints. See you next time!

I'm from Philly / South Jersey and was really craving a hoagie like they make them back home....so after doing some searching, I came across Casella's and they did not disappoint. I ordered an Italian Hoagie and their house made pasta salad....both were DELICIOUS!! In addition to that, they were very friendly, I noticed they knew their customers' names, and they had a steady line of people coming in and out. I'm so glad I found Casella's, this is my new spot....next thing I'm trying is their Philly Cheesesteak.

Best chicken salad around. I always get the quart cup and some delicious cookies. Wonderful family deli. Only possible improvement would be a bit more attention when preparing the chicken salad to keep bones out. Small inconvenience. Doesn't hurt the flavor a bit.
Nice little hidden gem of a deli that has been in business for over 40 years. Everything is made fresh daily or while you wait. And the service is like walking into grandma's kitchen asking for something to eat.
This place is a blessing in the Valley and to meet Joe, Denise and Lisa was a bonus. The food is fresh nothing ever sits. To go here is a must! Happy 40th!
We love the food here but remember to go early 11-6 M-F 11-3 Sat closed Sundays.

Family owned restaurant that's been in the neighborhood for over 40 years! Great got or cold sub sandwiches. Try the meatball or the steak sandwich!
Food is delicious! The ladies behind the counter are super sweet! We will definitely be returning soon.
For 20 minutes we felt like family!
Sandwiches were amazing. We got the cold Italian subs and are excited to try more. The bread was soft and the meat to topping ratio was perfect. Pasta salad is homemade and delicious. (Just how grandma makes according to my friend). We got there near closing and were given a sample of their chicken salad. 100% getting that next time.
The only thing better than the food was the service. We were first time customers but we’re treated like part of the family from start to finish. It was super fun to look at the saguaro high school photos while our sandwiches were being made.
10/10 will eat again and definitely don’t leave without 2 of Denise’s cookies.
Been coming here for a long time not many places left with that true family owned entertainment where they make you feel at home
