Best Pastrami I’ve had in my life! Got a hot Pastrami open face melt Sandwich on Rye and a cold Pastrami sandwich. This Pastrami just melted in my mouth. Little old school Kosher deli , everything is homemade fresh. Great macaroni salad , pickles, dressings and other kosher items looked good. If I’m in the area again I will definitely try other items if i can get past the Pastrami. Great friendly people.

Walking on the opposite side of Merrick Road, my wife and I smelled the pastrami. We crossed over and for a pastrami sandwich with mustard and a black cherry soda and I must say, it was quite delicious. Forgot to ask for it lean, but it was lean anyway. Mustard on both sides. And at $15 plus change, it was almost $10 cheaper than what I (used to) pay at Mill Basin Deli in Brooklyn-even though they have a sign apologizing for an increase in prices! Ten Dollars!!! Seating available. Clean restaurant and clean bathroom as well. Nice to know I can now afford an occasional delicious pastrami sandwich again. I have lived in Brooklyn for over 60 years, and I know good Pastrami. This is the best I have ever tasted.

🚨Update* I’ve been back 2x since my last review and the food is consistently delicious I took a friend with me and she loved it. Best pastrami on Long island it’s like butter melts in your mouth. French fries are out of this world, potato pancake with applesauce is a hit and the knish fried is just like the old days crunchy heaven. The Coleslaw is addicting🙆🏻‍♀️❤️The deli is right off of 135. It’s an hidden Gem! The Owner Abraham is a great person, very nice and friendly a true gentleman I enjoyed speaking with him. Jenny the server is a rock star! Best server! Check this place out! A+++++++++++++ be back soon, Paola *I’ve been wanting to try this place for a very long time. Well I was in the area and today was the day! This place has the best pastrami on all of Long Island. I’ve tried them all and the others do not come close. The pastrami was like butter it melts in your mouth so delicious. I had a potato pancake also great flavorful with apple sauce it was recommended by our server Jenny who was so nice and so helpful, I felt like I was in my aunts kitchen. The staff/owners are so warm & welcoming. The Cole slaw was creamy homemade tasting. I highly recommend trying this cozy little place that puts out phenomenal kosher old school deli food and vibes. Fairly priced don’t listen to these people on here saying it’s over priced we were 2 plus a additional sandwich and knish to go and it was $62.00 not bad at all bens is much more money regularly with just us 2. A++++++++Will be back worth the trip from Huntington! A Picture doesn't do it Justice.

What a gem! We dined in and I am glad we did. Don’t judge the outside of the deli. Best service ever. The pastrami, pastrami croquettes, Philly cheese, pastrami dumplings, etc… Homeade cheesecake was amazing. Definitely coming back!😍🥰❤️

Excellent every time. They make everything fresh every day. So when they run out, that is it. Nothing served it sub par. I rotate between the hot open sandwiches and the cold sandwiches. Brisket and gravy, roast beef, pastrami, corned beef. the sandwiches have all the new style of sandwiches and all the classics. Really fits everyone palate. The knishes are homemade. Everything is just outstanding. I always start with the Mushroom Barley soup, I like that a lot. My wife always gets the cold roast beef with cold slaw and Russian dressing. My daughter loves their hot dogs and perogies. They do take out and dine in. Wife and husband run place and they are always there. Gotta try this spot!

When you need a pastrami fix this place hits the spot. Excellent matzo ball soup too. Just wish they gave a small container of coleslaw together with the pickles. Otherwise Fantastic!

Thee, yes thee Best Pastrami Sandwich spot in town! Cheaper and a tastier Pastrami sandwich than the famed spots in Manhattan! You have to try this place if you like pastrami, the seedless rye bread is an exquisite attribute!

Let me first say that I rarely leave reviews. Also, though I no longer live here, I was born and raised on Long Island and like to think I know pastrami. Ordered a two meat sandwich with corned beef and pastrami. I was given the option to have it piled on top of one another or side by side (half a pastrami sandwich, half a corned beef sandwich). Went with the side by side. The meat was melt-in-your- mouth tender, the seedless rye was delicious, and the pickles were excellent. I read some reviews stating that the service was rude and the prices were exorbitant. My experience couldn't have been further from that. I found the service friendly and attentive, and the prices met my expectation for the food and the area. If you are anywhere in the area and looking for a delicious sandwich, I highly recommend Pastrami Express.

Visiting my sister in the Massapequa area we drove past Pastrami Express. She mentioned that she goes there and the food was very good. I stopped in and purchased a few sandwiches, a few Knishes, some Cole slaw and some Potato Pancakes. When I mention to the woman behind the counter how far away I live she gave me this apple desert. Well, after my 1 hour and 45 min ride home I got a chance to eat my dinner and it was just AMAZING !! the quality of the Pastrami and Corned Beef was perfection. The Knishes were as amazing as the Potato Pancakes. I plan on visiting them again and again when in the Massapequa area. Friendly and nice people. We need more businesses like them who care about quality. Thank you for a great Dinner and thanks for the dessert.

On the search for long island's best Rueban, Pastrami Express has claimed number 1!!! It was juicy and tender cornedbeef, with the perfect ratio of russian and swiss on crispy rye. This is the place to go to if you're craving pastrami/ cornedbeef products!
