I have been a frequent visitor to this place for many years, and yet, I can't recall why I haven't left a review until now. It has consistently been a delightful destination for me, particularly during the summer season. The patio seating offers a charming setting to enjoy the pleasant weather, while the interior provides a cozy ambiance. Whether you're looking to spend time with friends or plan a romantic date night, this place caters to both occasions admirably. Their cocktail selection is impressive, and the oysters they serve are notably fresh, adding to the overall dining experience. However, it's worth mentioning that the prices tend to be on the higher side. One aspect that has always stood out is the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their attentiveness and professionalism contribute to the overall enjoyment of the visit. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend checking out this establishment. Its combination of great ambiance, delicious cocktails, and fresh oysters make it a worthwhile experience.

Lovely outdoor seating area. Would recommend coming for Happy Hour to make the prices more reasonable. We had the pickled vegetables and the duck fat popcorn, which were decent but the cocktails were much better.

Zig Zag Cafe is one of my favorite underrated gems in Seattle. It still has that unchanged “Old Seattle” vibe that I love. I’ve been a few times and have consistently been impressed by the amazing service, delicious and unique food, and huge selection of drinks. On my most recent visit, I tried the bone marrow toast and the lemon posset. The bone marrow on brioche was delicious and the lemon posset was light and beautifully presented. Normally I don’t like lemon desserts, but I’m so glad I tried this one. I loved it. All of the staff went above and beyond on a busy summer evening and gave great recommendations for things to try.

Classy. Expansive cocktail menu, with the Nausicaa being my personal favorite. The food was outstanding and perfectly seasoned. Live jazz complimented the experience ever so perfectly. Would highly recommend Zig Zag Cafe if you have a date to impress.

Nice portion of bar food during the happy hour with decent price, cocktails are a bit too sweet for me but still good. Overall a recommended place for small bites and some drinks!

Quintessential cocktail bar with a long history of serving inventive cocktails in a beautifully decorated space - think old timey lounge vibe. Bartender had no issue creating something new based on my friend's need to deviate from her norm, just by explaining what she liked. Extensive list of spirits to choose from so everyone should find something they like. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Seattle! With a couple cocktails each and a plate that we shared, bill came to about $90 (before tip).

Super chill spot for drinks and snacks - located within steps of Pike Place but slightly hidden away so if you’re not looking it’s easy to miss which would be a mistake because it’s got great food. We had the dip and the steak which were both great.

Great cocktail bar! We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartender make all the drinks. He also provided great recommendations when we couldn’t decide what to order. This place has a wonderful atmosphere - even though it’s close to Pike Place it doesn’t feel touristy at all. We would definitely come back!

A super cool restaurant with outstanding drinks and amazing food. Our entire experience here was fantastic and we will definitely be back next time we are in Seattle. The cocktail menu was very creative which is something we really enjoy - it’s nice not just having your standard cocktails.

Fabulous spot to take a break and enjoy the late afternoon sun as it glints through the leaves on the patio. The Baker Street Bramble is super delicious.

First of all, know that they are still checking vaccine cards which is no problem for me. As for the decoration and ambiance, it is great! It has the feel of a speakeasy or cool jazz club. And they have jazz playing to help with that. I enjoyed the drinks very much. I had a Sassy Monk and my boyfriend had a Monet. Both tasted great to me. Next for food we had hush puppies. They were very tasty but maybe a little over-salted. For the main dishes I had the Smoky Beet tartar, which wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. I think the smokiness killed the beet flavor but it grew on me the more I ate it. And my boyfriend had the duck tostada. This was very tasty and well seasoned. Finally I tried the bread pudding. I love bread pudding, but I wouldn't order this again. It has a mild flavor and the sauce that was with it was pretty bland as well. Overall I enjoyed the feel of it there and liked that the menu offered some unique options and I would definitely go again. And the waitress was very lovely!

We were visiting from out of town and came upon this cozy little joint. The first night we were there we loved the vibe and the drinks. The service here is superb. We enjoyed sitting at the bar watching drinks being made and drinking them too. Lol. Very cool experience. The food is really good. We came here all 2 nights we were in town. Enjoyed ourselves all 3 nights. The owner Ben is really down to earth and very friendly. Great spot for after work, date night or with friends. You won't be disappointed. Definitely order the jalapeno cornbread too. 😋

The atmosphere is so pleasantly relaxing and cozy. The drinks are professionally made, and the food is very good. The gnocchi is one the the best I’ve ever tried. Also the customer service was extremely pleasant, our waiter Erin made the experience even more pleasant.

Fantastic place - very kind, friendly and overall lovely staff. The owner, Ben, is a great guy, and I’m glad I came. I arrived alone and ended up having multiple good conversations with multiple parties sitting at the bar, including Ben (who was behind the bar). My night was very enjoyable and sociable despite arriving solo. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Seattle, especially if you like whiskey, cocktails and/or jazz music. It is my favourite bar out of all that I have visited here on my trip. Zig Zag is a must-visit!

This is one of my FAVORITE places for cocktails as a local. So happy to see they have reopened since Covid. Staff are always friendly, cocktails are always incredible, and their food/happy hour is fantastic! The Spanish Monk is my favorite cocktail (off the menu) if you’re looking for someone up with egg whites and green chartreuse - it’s a unique take on a traditional gimlet.
