This place deserves higher than its current 4.4 rating. The food, service, and quality are all 5.0, but I think a lot of reviewers find it hard to give it a 5 because they think vietnamese food should be cheaper. It's actually not expensive because you can get a complete meal big dish for $19. But if you add an appetizer and two drinks then you are spending $80pp after tax&tip. (Which is fair in Seattle for this)
This place has such elegant atmosphere, sophisticated drinks, and more. Treat yourself to a classy lunch or night out!
Authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Capitol Hill open till midnight.
They have authentic tofu spinach rolls which are delicious.
We got the spicy chicken ramen soup and the pho do gron which was solid!
They have a lot of toppings and meat in the broth and ramen . You can customize it and ask for less noodles.
The service was quick and the server was friendly.
Very happy with the place and will visit it again whenever I am craving Vietnamese food
Amazing food, staff and environment!

everything i ate and drank here was delicious. the ox pho was my favorite. their happy hours are fantastic and the whole menu is really good value.
A good fusion Vietnamese spot that stays open late and is a good spot to get unique food in Capitol Hill. Definitely not “authentic” style, but still pretty good. It’s quick pricey, but decent portions and tasty, even if they doesn’t taste like their authentic counterparts. Some seating outside and more inside, and service was nice, but a bit slow as it was late. This was one of the few places that was open pretty late though! Overall not a bad place if you don’t mind the price and the style difference.
We came in as a group of 5 for dinner on a weekday. We were seated right away once the entire party arrived.
I ordered the yellow curry noodles - the portion sizes are enormous! The curry is warm and hearty and quite lovely. I also ordered the lemongrass soda which is really quite nice), although as you can see, it’s really 50% ice.
Overall not too many vegetarian options given how extensive their menu is.
Service is quick and efficient. Our food came out within 5 minutes of placing the order!
I've probably been here about a dozen times - it's conveniently located for our community after we get out late at night, so it's a plus that it's open late. Overall, it's a pretty good place. The service has improved in the last couple of years - it was a little pretentious feeling from the front of house last year. Every time I come here, I do feel the same about it, though - the atmosphere is nice, but the food is a little disappointing for me. It's a little pricey, and the flavor is slightly off. The phở broth is very sweet and cinnamon, it's not right. I have had to order it extra hot because the broth always comes out warm, also wrong. It should be boiling hot, especially if you have the tái because it needs to be cooked. The wings are actually amazing though - I do give those 5 stars.
Place was packed, but still had a nice night. I got the vegetarian curry noodles and the eggplant; my friend got the duck. I ended up drinking the curry when I ran out of noodles, if that says anything about how tasty it was. :) I brought cake home and it was delicious too.
I recommend Ba Bar.

one of the best pho I had in recent times . I went with chicken pho - tastes was exceptional , spice is well balanced . Awesome service and prices are very decent . Will recommend it for sure.
Really great cocktails at happy hour prices along with delicious appetizers followed up with oxtail pho with an egg - who can argue with that. All was delicious and their service was great too. A nice meal with friends always make the occasion more fun. thank you - recommend!
Ba Bar is wonderful! The atmosphere is really nice and warm, the drinks were amazing (I got Beet us to the Punch and it was so good) and the food was top notch. Highly recommend the Vegetarian Pho and Pumpkin Curry as well. The food came out really quickly and the service was great.
Our son lives nearby, so we eat at Ba Bar whenever we visit. The servers are awesome! They always give great recommendations for new dishes and cocktails to try. Their happy hours (afternoon and late evening) are the perfect opportunity to try lots of small plates and share with friends. I would give more stars if I could!
I had many phos in many countries (but never in Asia), and this one here was the one I liked the most of them all. I ordered the sirloin one with extra beef balls, and I personally liked that the meat wasn't rare, but tasty. The ratio of broth to noodles to meat was perfect. I'm only 1 more night in Seattle, but it was so good, I will most likely return. 6 out of 5 stars!
It's not your traditional Vietnamese restaurant, but more Vietenamese fused with Capitol Hill vibe. Got seated on their outdoor patio with heated cover top. Started off with their Grilled Asian Eggplants and Crispy Imperial Rolls, and then ordered the traditional Pho Tai Nam (Beef Combination Pho) as the main dish. The starters were tasty but the Pho was mediocre. Wish it had more broth in it and wish there was different sizes of bowl. Only 1 size and 1 price for all of the Noodle soup.
Great spot that I personally love because they're one of the few places that stay open late, and the food's always good. The pho broth is some of the best I've ever had.
Babar never disappoints! The chicken wings are some of the best wings I've ever had. The imperial rules are really delicious. The lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl is chef kiss. Good. Cocktails are tasty as well. Come here as often as I can for the delicious food and hip atmosphere.
