I think this place has amaaazing baked goods, however I was not too impressed with the sandwich I ordered.
Decided to try their Bristol Bay sandwich, which has smoked salmon on it. $15.50 for a sandwich this size is a little much...With my latte and sandwich I spent over $22 which I don’t think was quite worth it in the end.
However, I have heard some great recommendations for this place so I think I’ll stop by again sometime to try their other food items! The steak sandwich looked promising!
The long awaited move! Grand Central finally moved across the street to a bigger location. With the upgraded, comes with more customers. More often than not you’ll see the place PACKED before noon, with a 20 minute wait on seasonal sandwiches.
Pros: reliable, consistent, fresh baked goods. Kind staff, bright & welcoming environment.
Cons: not cheap, long wait for sandwich, too upbeat for quiet studying, chairs are not best for long term sitting.
4.5 out of 5
My favourite are Berry berry scone, cheese danish, pecans pullapart and bacon egg and bold. My husband went back for B&B before we left Portland.
Parking site is very busy, but the food definitely worthy😋
A great lunch spot for quality sandwiches! Friendly staff, lots of seating. All the sandwiches I’ve tried have been fantastic. I think it is because they use delicious fresh baked bread, which is the foundation of a great sandwich. Expect most of their sandwiches to be very traditional combinations, with only a couple specials that are more unique. The lunch hour rush can have long lines sometimes and I wouldn’t expect to pop in and out too quickly. I normally expect ordering and getting my food to take about 20min. They also will sell out of many pastries and even sometimes some sandwiches by the end of the lunch hour, around 1. Because all their sandwiches are so good, it normally doesn’t bother me.
Friendly staff, good sandwiches, and pastries. Love the ICED BRIOCHE CINNAMON ROLL 😋
Best coffee bakery along the waterfront area. Great hot chocolate!
Friendly staff and delicious bakery. There are several of these throughout Seattle and I'm glad to have one within walking distance of my residence. Como loaf is my favorite locally-baked loaf of bread, and their little quiches are quite delicious. They dropped some items from their menu when the pandemic hit, one of which was my favorite. Bring back the latte dunkers and I'll give them the fifth star and buy a box of them each week. Google them... they were loved!
Freshly baked breads, sandwiches, pastries, super yummy quiches and coffees, they have all. We have tried their egg salad and veggie sandwiches, they were not extravagant, but really good. I loved them so much as they made my coffee extra hot at one go, I always have to ask the baristas to reheat my coffee. Will come back for coffee and quiche.
We live in Eastlake and this is our local bakery. It’s just an amazing positive vibe when you enter. You can sit work from here and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.their croissants are amazing - request them to toast them which elevates the taste. My favorite is the Turkey Chutney sandwich with sour dough bread. This is an Eastlake fav- definitely try!
I was visiting Seattle this week, when I ran across this little place called Grand Central Bakery.
Their biscuit sandwiches and croissant sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had anywhere.
And their berry danishes are fantastic too.
I can not recommend GCB enough!
The line was reasonable, and the pastry was excellent, I had issues with their payment processor, and the staff were very polite and helpful.
This is one of our favorite places to go to. We absolutely love all of the different pastries we've had. They make amazing bread. And the coffee is delicious. I can't even tell you how many times I've been there now.
I had the cranberry turkey sandwich and I really enjoyed it. Coffee was okay, but I definitely want to come back and try some of their baked goods.
