I really enjoy this restaurant..have been coming for decades. Now that I have a kid, it’s great to be able to go to a cool place and have your kid feel welcome. Nice menu..the best for brunch! It’s a joyful relaxed vibe. You’ll like it!
Always awesome. I love coming here, especially on oyster tuesdays!! $1 oyster happy hour after 3 and they give you a few different kinds (that aren't cheap varieties). Also I love having breakfast here. It's great, HIGHLY recommend this place!

Fresh food. Great menu. Our server was second to none. We called in 1 hr before seating so we didn't have to wait when we got there. Coastal Kitchen is a family favorite when we are visiting in Seattle.
Fun meets class here. Multiple equally enjoyable seating options including an outdoor area in the back. Very friendly staff. Everyone is having a good time here. Food was great! Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere. Loved how the cooks all communicated with one another. Wait staff friendly and the food was amazing. We had breakfast and the Reuben corn beef hash is a must! The Irish coffee was so good we had two. Can't wait to go back.
Great breakfast! Very nice service and cool place! The hash browns are excellent 😋
We attended the Slayer TNT event. It was so much fun and the free food and drink was amazing.
I ate at this place when we first arrived in Capitol Hill about 9 months ago and wasn't too impressed, but yesterday changed my mind.
You could tell that the "free" food was very much homemade. Great job!
I went to Coastal Kitchen for brunch when I visited Seattle a few months ago and had been meaning to write a review. The food was excellent and the gin and tonics came with their homemade tonic which was amazing. Also they played 4 Mariah songs during my meal which I swear I did not bribe them to do. #YasQueen
Wow! What a fabulous rebirth. I've been gone from Seattle for years. Returned to newly imagined Coastal Kitchen. Love love love the new vibe, excellent menu ( and they accommodate my twists with graciousness!) and primo, friendly service. Sit at either bar for fun and conversation. Great spot for women on their own! Owners made the right decision. , and excellent hires! Highly recommend!
This is one of my favorite happy hour spots (especially on Tuesdays since they have $2.50 Rose and Oysters). This was my second time visiting at ~5:30pm and there was no wait. In the summer, it's a bit busier but I only had to wait 15 minutes. Even if there is a little wait, it's definitely worth it!
Rose - The rose is $2.50 all day Tuesdays. It's very light and goes down easy. A bug landed in my glass and the waiter got me a new one.
Marinated Olives ($4 during HH) - Nothing special.
Fries ($4 during HH) - I love shoestring fries and these were done perfectly with a side of ketchup and garlic aioli.
Drunken Brussels ($9 during HH) - The first time it was fantastic but the second time it was extremely sweet. This might not be consistent.
Salmon Rillete ($10 during HH) - The salmon portion was generous almost to the point where we didn't have enough chips! I recommend this.
Popped in for bunch and wasn't disappointed. We ordered the pancakes with roasted squash and "the J-rod." Both were made very well. Our eggs were cooked correctly, and the flavors were fantastic. My only food gripe were the spicy hashbrowns. They were tasty, but there was no crunch to them. Coming at the end of brunch may be the reason. Our server was unattentive. We had to flag her down for a Togo box and had to ask another associate for the check. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience. We recommend dining here and will be back again.
Awesome experience here Capitol Hill Seattle. Best food I had here. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Chef Michael and staff, especially Jody our server and bartender.
The food was really good and the portions were great so bring friends! The food is on the saltier side so grab a beer or martini on their happy hour to wash it down with. I would definitely go again when I'm in town and I'd recommend it to my friends
A bright and warm place for seafood. We had the clam chowder, perfect for a rainy Seattle day and an oyster poboy. The poboy was just as good as ones from new Orleans.
Hip and friendly atmosphere, great staff and best tasting seafood. Amazing Tuesday HH for oysters and rose. Local friendly vibes. Two round bars, indoor and outdoor seating.
Our meal was fantastic, the food was prepared great and tasted amazing. The carrots in the Drunken Brussels had a flavor I did not think carrots could have.
The only real negative from our meal was inconsistent and awkward service. It wasn't bad by any means but we would have atleast liked to have known our waiters name.
Drag brunch was absolutely amazing! This was their first show, and I have to say, I was very impressed! Such a variety of drag performers. If you're looking for something fun to do on a Saturday, this is it! The show was just the right length, the food was amazing! And oh so much!! And the service! 5 stars! I already bought my ticket for next month! I have a feeling this will be a very successful monthly production!
It’s my absolute pleasure to designate this as one of the best restaurants in Seattle- not only is the food fresh, but the service is impeccable. The blue oysters are to die for, while the the wavy I burger just melts in your mouth. The tomato jam is a lovely addition. The marinated olives in warm extra virgin olive oil are exquisite, while the ceaser salad with anchovies and freshest garnered parmesan do wonders for the dish. If you’re from Seattle, and are looking for something special, rest assured cuisine brilliance is here. And it’s at Coastal Kitchen.
One of the best meals I've ever had, from start to finish. If your in Seattle, and want to splurge on a top notch meal, COME HERE. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant, will definitely come back one day.
Big fan from way back! Still delicious after all these years! Do wish they'd bring back the corn cakes but I am here for the new seafood focus! Bring on the oysters! Also...if you know you know...I need the language course blasting in the bathroom. Please and forever thank you! Some places are fixtures and Coastal is one of them! ❤️🤘❤️
We settled to lunch after a way on a rainy afternoon. Warm tea arrived quickly. Not too long after our food arrived. It was tasty! We were able to linger over our food and enjoy our meal. Our server was attentive enough.
After wandering around Seattle for a good part of the morning while visiting I worked up a good appetite and stumbled across Costal. The place was very busy which is always a good sign but I got right in at the bar. Service was a bit slow due to the volume but once some patrons cleared out I got great service and friendly staff. I had the toasted chicken salad sandwich for lunch and it was delicious and a bit messy which made it all the better to clean up using the tasty French fries served with the meal. If I am ever back in town I would bring my seafood friends back here as the atmosphere was open, comfortable, and friendly. Definitely recommend.
