We stopped in at this restaurant to try their brunch, which is served until 3:00 pm. It wasn’t very busy and service was prompt and attentive. We had the zucchini frittata and lemon ricotta pancakes; both were good, although there wasn’t anything remarkable about what we ate. Since we only had a couple of brunch items, the bill wasn’t too expensive. We were a bit surprised by a 5% surcharge on top of the usual dining charges. Our server explained that the surcharge was to cover the rising cost of food, supplies, operating expenses, etc, but it’s not a tip. We totally get it; everything costs more now, thanks to inflation. We live in Pierce County and haven’t seen this surcharge in restaurants down here, just increased food prices, which is to be expected.
Fun, festive evening out with the ladies! Great food, spirits, and fireside service. Piatti never disappoints!!
I liked the food here. It’s a beautiful and charming restaurant. I would definitely recommend trying this place at least once. To add to the charm, a tiny red fiat sits outside.
The food were just normal, although the atmosphere were great and the environment were comfortable to dine-in.
Had lunch with a friend while Christmas shopping at UVillage, and the Lemon Ricotta Ravioli was exceptional! Service was good, and the restaurant was busy. The Tiramisu & Affogato were both very good as well.
I had a Caesar Salad with chicken, and it was good. My niece had the Hen of the Woods Flatbread. The doors were open, which is normally fine.. but my wine had a swarm of fruit flies around it. Before I had a drink of my wine, one had landed in it. The server brought me a new glass when she saw me fishing for it- so I appreciated it.
Piatti is an Italian restaurant inside of U Village. It's quite large inside with dozens of tables and a bar area. It's usually pretty busy in here as it's one of the higher end restaurants inside of U Village. They have a shorter menu to choose from, sticking to a few pizzas, a few pastas, and a few entrées. Their portion sizes are pretty small and their prices are high for what you get, however the taste is pretty good. This is more of a date night spot than a place to regularly eat. The staff are very nice here, parking is impossible to find in U Village, and you'll probably want to make a reservation ahead of time so you're not waiting and/or turned away at the door.
Nice place for dine in, recommend the lemon ravioli. The only draw back is the smell of the frying if you’re seated inside. Thanks Janet for your excellent service.
This place is decent, and in a great location. This could have been a fluke, but I got the rabbit papardelle, and it was oddly bland. The sauce was very thin, with little flavor. Even the photo makes it look bad (seriously, look at the attached photo of the pasta dish and tell me what you think.) The bread and dipping sauce are amazing, and you can snag a bottle of it for the road too. Cesar salads come with anchovies which I think is a nice touch.
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle. We were pleasantly impressed with their home-made pasta and savory flavor from their salad to the three pasta dishes. Yummmm! Their service is friendly and staff, knowledgeable. And their heater kept us warm while sitting outside all evening.
Good vibes, tasty food, big space, indoor & outdoor. Slightly pricey but warranted.
We love their Lasagna and Ravioli! Oh the Ravioli! 🤤
Just got an espresso at the bar so can't comment on food, but coffee, service, and atmosphere were all great. Cozy, laid back place ... a perfect respite from shopping and general busy-ness on a rainy, fall day.
