This is a historic place situated right by the Alki beach. It has its own parking lot which is really helpful in this busy area. It has seating at ground and 1st floor. The menu is really simple and fresh. It feels like a little museum with all the framed photos on the walls showcasing and talking about this establishment’s history. We got halibut, chips, prawns and a green river soda drink. The fish was so fresh and flaky. The prawns were jumbo sized and oozing with salty flavor. The fries were soft and a little soggy but were delicious. The green river soda was a pleasant surprise. It was lemony and refreshing. Must try place.
A casual place for delicious fish & chips. Quick service and great value. I recommend this place if you just want a quick & good lunch with less hassle.
This place came HIGHLY recommended to me by a dear friend that is originally from Seattle and it did not disappoint. My buddy told me that "this is the best fish and chips that I will probably ever have in my life" and he was 100% correct. Even though it was out of the way from where we were staying while visiting Seattle, it was well worth the detour! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about this place. This is an absolute must visit!
I have been enjoying Spud from 1976. My experience has been constantly good the entire time. Good product at a fair price.
This place is excellent. Many that offer fish n chips is a small amount of chips and a tiny piece of fish with 3x the batter, and greasy. Alki Spud's is a crispy thin later over a good chunk of fish over a generous basket of chips. Service was awesome. The view is incredible. And i have to agree with other reviewers - the tartar sauce is the best in the city. ❤️❤️❤️
First time being in this place.. History of the Seattle fast food included Spuds fish n chips.. wow big pieces of fish served here. Great view of the Harbor and cozy small shops around it.. I recommend going to Spuds..
I've been a lifetime patron of Spud Fish and Chips! This is one of my family's all time favorite restaurants.
Recently I have been a chicken and fries kick. Their chicken and fries are really good! They usually take a bit longer to make because they don't have any going in the frier, but I feel like it's worth the wait. Especially with their delicious tartar sauce! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My wife got the two piece fish and fries. She enjoyed hers as well, putting the garlic vinegar on it and dipping it in tartar! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I always loved this place. Been coming here for at least 30+ years. But like everything it just isn't like it used to be. The food is still good, you just get MUCH smaller amounts. And the prices keep going up. For two 3 piece fish and chips and a drink $50+ (their special) is hard to swallow for lunch.
Good fish fry, good clam chowder and good portion size.
Clean yet cozy as well as feel the history.
Highly recommend and I would give 9/10 if google change its star rating from 5 to 10.
Only down side, parking can be hassle specially in busy season during day time but it would be same case for any restaurants or eateries I’m this location.
First time tried their fish and chips. The fishes were fresh and good tartar sauce. Definitely will come back again!
