It is certainly a famous spot and I can say by the crowd that was here when I visited the place. Food is terrific and I can feel the freshness of freshly cooked tomato sauce and the ingredients. The food really feels more alive here. It is a authentic Italian/Spanish restaurant so you might want to know what you are ordering. If not sure maybe ask your waiter 😅. On the ambience side, I feel the place can maybe use some more lighting. I don't think there is any curbside pickup or you can order ahead.

My wife and I LOVE this eatery! It is very authentic in my opinion though one of the BEST Italian cuisine you can get in Seattle. We go there for birthdays and anniversaries. We bring our friends here and they all became fan. Love their grilled squid with lemon! Love their puttanesca! It’s the BEST! This time we had clam vongole and carbonara. They were all delicious! Thank you and we’ll be back soon! Wonderful and friendly service as well!

Food’s great! I love how this place gives a family restaurant feel. Everyone makes you feel at home. My husband said the tiramisu tastes like the one he had in Italy.

1 year later and I'm back. Same meal with the exact same consistency, a rare thing indeed! Smiling faces who remember your name, with wonderful ambiance & Italian food to die for. And did I mention the homemade pesto butter! Thank you for an amazing birthday dinner once again Pomodoro!

Parking : They have parking in the building and plenty of street parking around. Location: East lake side is little quite and I went on a rainy Friday evening. Ambiance & other details : it's nice and homely, there had information about the chef and their 3 decades of service in restaurant business. Service : Excellent & friendly service people, very helpful in bringing a birthday Tiramisu with a candle. When we couldn't eat it there and take it Togo, they packed it so well. Food Vegetarian friends of mine loved their penne pasta. Tomato creme soup is so yummy! I felt my angel hair pasta was little dry and I added habinaro sauce in to my food (self holiday expirements), lol. Bread can be warmed up, they serve it with yummy pesto sauce. So that makes it awesome. Little cozy family style Italian restaurant.

Had dinner with my son and future daughter-in-law at Pomodoro, a Italian restaurant with Spanish influences over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. The room had an old world charm that was dimly lit with a comforting ambience. We all ordered pastas but the stars of the evening were the Insalata di Caesar, the Calamares a la Plancha, and the tiramisu. The Caesar salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. The dressing, made from scratch using raw eggs, was one of the best that I’ve had in years. It was nice and pungent with the just right amount of garlic, anchovy and lemon. The pan fried calamari was tender and perfectly seasoned. The pastas were really tasty but were overwhelmed with too much Parmesan for my liking. I would have preferred some freshly grated Parmesan cheese tableside. The habanero oil was a nice touch; it was absolutely delicious adding a nice amount of heat without altering the flavours. And the tiramisu was a real delight and a perfect finish to the evening. The mousse-like cream was absolutely gorgeous that left us wanting more.

Omg this restaurant was so good! I loved the easygoing reservation process, the ambiance, the service and the food! Our waiter really helped make it a great experience, joking with us, sharing a little intel on the recipe, and being attentive despite the restaurant being full. I got the linguine alle vongole and it was SO good. The clams were saltwater-fresh deliciousness and I continued pigging out long after my friends had gotten takeout boxes for their paella and manacotti. I’m a growing girl and I know what I like- this restaurant!

The food is amazing and the service was great too! The staff is friendly and were constantly refilling our drinks. They were very knowledge about wine pairings and gave us a lot of recommendations!

The food is amazing! I had the linguini de champagne with Dungeness crab and my gf had the gnocchi! 10/10 would eat these again every time! Also, when the chef comes out and offers you habanero honey tell him to cover your dish in a level 5 spicy! So good!!

Update.... I do love this spot. So quaint... special really. Food is amazing. Chefs fantastic, here for years. The owner takes amazing care odd his guests, each treated as the only one. Two of my favorite dishes... the calamari so good... ate before I realised I didn't take a pic!

I have eaten at this cozy, upscate Italian restaurant 4 times now and have been very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere every time. The food is wonderful with strong but suble flavors in the Puttanesca (which my father couldn't finish after his salad and many slices of pesto covered bread) and the balance of sweet and spicy in the Gnocchi (which my mother had for the first time tonight). The service was attentive but non-intrucive, with the staff noticing if you needed anything and then providing it. The atmosphere is very classy and though not a large place, they distribute their customers so that you feel some privacy until they fill up. The prices are not inexpensive, but the dishes are well worth it! You will leave feeling content and full with a smile on your face.

A very homey Italian restaurant. The pasta is delicious and tastes like something you'd get in Italy. I split the veal spaghetti and a stuffed ravioli. A friend got the chicken Alfredo which was delicious.

This restaurant is one of the good Italian restaurants in Seattle. The food has great flavours. One of the best is the puttanesca item in the menu. Apparently the Dungeness crabmeat is the best too! The calamari starter is also good. We also tried the Alfredo and could not complain! The place is good to go in groups . Don't forget to try the hot sauce that they have. It's spicy as hell. Good tiramisu the two times I have tried it. Great place. Will be here again.

Food was great. It's a small family owned restaurant where everyone will serve you your food even the cook.
