Marjorie was recommended to us by a friend and I'm so glad that we followed through. It was simply amazing. So flavorful, handcrafted, beautiful ambiance. We love that there were so many options for vegetarians and we didnt have to sacrifice any flavor for personal choices.
Some highlights: butter beans (there is pork in them), burrata, jerked tofu, and mushroom risotto.
They have a cute patio that has been designed to feel quaint and cozy despite being in front of an apartment building.
The inside is just as quaint with little details that make it extra cozy. Service was fantastic.
Good service, great food. We had the plantains and dip, hush puppies, beyond burger, and yam tacos. The burger was juicy - a rarity for veggie burgers. The rice in the yam tacos was the best rice flavorful, Spivey, not too dry. The drinks were awesome. Great flavor profile and full of alcohol. Try the paper plane and the blood orange margarita
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The courtyard is beautiful, and well insulated from road noise. Great decor with plants and string lights, the inside is super cute and opens completely onto the courtyard. Classy, cute and modern.
The food is good and creative, albeit pricey. I think the aesthetic and ambiance makes the price seem more worthwhile. I highly recommend the gnocchi, the Mediterranean flatbread and of course plantain chips. There are lots more things on the menu I want to try, and the cocktail list looked great although I did not drink during my visit. We spent around $40 per person before tip on just food.
Our fave local quality restaurant. Always good food and excellent cocktails, with smooth friendly service.
I love the patio at this place. Super adorable and hidden away. Felt like you were on vacation somewhere.
The food was delicious and a great strong yummy old-fashioned. After two drinks I m in my la la land.
Highly recommended this place.
Food here is phenomenal! We ordered the jalapeño hush puppies, jerk chicken and gnocchi, and bread pudding and each bite literally melted in my mouth (especially the mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes). Truly an eclectic combination but they have mastered every dish. The wait staff was also very friendly and they have set up their patio covid safe. Will definitely be back!
I really like everything about this place. Took my husband and 3.5 year old daughter there last night for husband’s birthday dinner. The food is tasty and special. They have a lovely outdoor ambiance. The server was warm and kind. I’d been there before but forgotten how much I like it. It’s a neighborhood gem for sure.
FAVORITE restaurant of all time. Prepare yourself with an open mind and pallet for the marjorie's experience. My mom and extended family have been going here for years! The owner is an amazing women with exceptional taste! Best birthday dinners always!! The burger is so delicious it melts in your mouth and each sauce is curated perfectly for the plate of your choice. Wine/bar selection is very diverse! such a cute place more on the high end side!!
So, outright, I'm a lifelong vegetarian. My partner 15739% is not. We both LOVE coming here. The food is out of this world. And their craft cocktail menu is perfectly curated. If you want to go off menu the bartender, Richard, is incredible. And a huge plus for me is it is Black woman-owned.
I can't recommend this place more. If it's your first time you have to try the jerk Chicken, but you can't go wrong anywhere on the menu. Richard, our sever/ bartender was incredible. As good as their cocktail menu is, he created the best off-menu cocktails I've had in a long time.
We don't get here often enough but every time we do, it's a great experience. The service has always been very friendly, the cocktails are fun and well done and the food is beautiful, seasonal and tasty - I especially like their homemade pasta. In summer, the patio is one of my favorites in town.
The Jamaican coffee is what happiness tastes like. That’s a must-order. Loved all the food we tried (jerk chicken, Brussels sprouts w/boar bacon, the risotto with the citrus kick (must be lemon or persimmon, and the bread pudding). Cocktails were excellent. Wait staff was courteous and attentive. People were laughing and having fun. The owner passed by at one point and we chatted briefly and it was clear how proud she was of what they serve. One of the best places for a meal on the fancy side in all of Seattle. Can’t wait to go back. And Seriously- that Jamaican coffee tho. Order it.
This is a fantastic special occasion spot. It's little pricey but you get what you pay for. The servers are engaged, knowledgeable, and efficient. On my first visit, I enjoyed observing the activity in the tiny kitchen. My second visit was on a warm evening so we ate outside in the cute little garden. Both times, we were offered a bucket of ice in which to store our wine bottle.
The food is very good. It is flavorful, fun, and doesn't leave you feeling bloated or tired.
Highly, highly recommend. The most delicious, flavorful comfort food. Best drinks. Colorful, cozy atmosphere. Always kind and great service. Have been coming for 9 years and will keep coming back. A Seattle favorite for us.
Amazing food and service! The jerk chicken was great and we got the hushpuppies to share, which were amazing. The cocktails are also very tasty and quite strong.
My friend and I found this place on Seated to meet up for happy hour after a few months of not seeing each other. It was cute and cozy. The staff was very friendly and I loved that the owner was present. The food was amazing. The menu looks so good I think I'll be back to try out some more delicious finds!
