Great neighborhood feel. Will always choose Uptown over the green mermaid across the street. Smooth lattes and the staff is amazing. Under new management, the place has completely turned around. A-plus that they allow dogs and always have treats. Be advised, they only accept card and tap pay, no cash. Some people don't like that. Order the genera!

Had a client meeting at this location and the line was so long I skipped getting a coffee so we could meet first. Before I left I decided I should get a coffee for the road. So glad I did. One of the best lattes I’ve had lately. So smooth and delicious. Service was good. I think he seemed a little perturbed that I got a phone call right before I ordered. I’m in sales so that’s my job. I did step away to take the call. But it was noticed. Overall good spot with decent parking.

Very tasty coffee and selection of tea. The coffee indeed has lots of foam! On a separate occasion I had green tea and it was great. I like the atmosphere and the bathrooms are clean. Friendly staff. Bravo!

My coffee was lovely. We arrived on Saturday morning and found one gal working. She had a consistently replenishing line and she worked tirelessly to make sure we all had what we needed. She was a trooper and left a lasting impression!

FAVORITE COFFESHOP IN SEATTLE. The atmosphere is cozy, westward facing 7/8 windows allow for gentle, natural light, music is at a volume to allow for your conversation to be private without being dominated, and there's a variety of seating- Cozy chairs or long, classic tables. There's ample parking in the area for you and your friends, and outdoor seating for nice days. The WiFi is fast, and environment is conducive to focus. Nicole, a professional, kind, and empathic barista, is simply outstanding. She took the extra time and care to make my birthday special with a carefully crafted Americano and a gorgeous biscotti. (If you happen to be lucky enough to have her as your coffee crafter, tip her extra.)

Nice bright corner location with big tables that encourage you to linger. Friendly (though not fast) service, good breakfast sandwich and burrito options. Only downside? Some of your fellow patrons on loud video calls seem to forget they're not in a private office.

I like good, strong coffee . I'm a tourist and always look for local and hope that I'm not too disappointed. I wasn't! My latte was wonderful. Barista was friendly. Atmosphere is SO much better than a chain coffee shop. There were a couple of gluten-free treats (I had carrot cake) so it was a very nice experience for me. 100% recommended!

The service here is friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the food I have had is good. The liquor list is more extensive than one would expect for small neighborhood place, and not just in the whisky offerings. A great neighborhood pub - I would be here more often if they had anything vegan and gluten free on the menu (I've had the spinach salad without cheese, the fries - not totally vegan, no dedicated fryer, and the pot o' pickles). A veggie burger on the menu would go a long way.

Nice local coffee shop. Lots of seating, parking was easy. Only had a chai latte, so didn't try the food.

I really love uptown espresso! The coffee is always good and typically the customer service is always very amazing so I am leaving 5 stars, but just in case the owners see this I wanted to mention that I went in recently to the magnolia location and the barista was very rude to every customer she helped. Before I even got to the counter she pretty much yelled at me “what can I get you?” And then said “anything else?” In a very annoyed tone when she saw me looking at the pastry case. She spoke to everyone that walked in this way, and everyone seemed to have the same reaction. I know that is a totally fine way to ask people what they want, but nearly yelling in an obviously annoyed voice is not.I work in customer service, I know it’s hard, but all of her customers seemed to be walking on eggshells just to order a simple coffee. The whole room felt really tense and she made it very awkward to talk to her Like I said, this is my favorite coffee place. I adore it. I’ve been to all of the locations and it’s consistent, delicious, and has an incredible atmosphere. I beyond highly recommend it. But if I was the one who hired her, I would want to know.

Great coffee. Great atmosphere. Great service. Uptown Espresso is among the old school Seattle Coffee shops. Since 1984 they have been serving great drinks, and educating customers about coffee and culture. This spot is a true gem.
