Real food, authentic Mexican food. I'm blessed to of tried the Pollo Quesidilla, it had a mouth watering Chicken flavor, great generous amount of real cheese, hot fresh tortilla, and mild green hot sauce rocks!!!
If the food is delicious, then it doesn't take a genius to judge, or critque food. Difficulty happens only we try to fool oneself. Food is a philosophy in many respects, in finding the truth. But, also.a wonderful art. El Legendario makes the food like an art form, hence leave no room for debate, or desire to.
Believe me, it leaves you the patron in foodie heaven. I am planning to.try other dishes. But, it will be hard not to resist my first true chicken choice.
Margaritas are homemade, not the syrup cheap stuff in other food chains like Red Robbins. Drink makers use real ingredients, such as fresh squeezed like juice, salted glasses, and generous in alcohol amounts.
Difference is simple, you want real homemade food healthy minded, or cheap quality, and artificial food drive thru spot?
El Legendario is the obvious answer for good health, authentic style dishes, music, and family owned atmosphere, you won't regret it.
Also, supporting a big hearted family owned business sharing their culture, traditions, and passions through food making, unlike a big corporation, franchisee, or chain watered down versions.
Muchas gracias El Legendario! Until we meet again.
Amazing food. Amazing service. We've been going for a while and are more than satisfied every time. We rented a small space here to celebrate my sister's graduation party and had them cater as well. They made the experience smooth and our guests were delighted with the food and beverages. The owners are friendly and hard-working. I'm very happy to have found such a great place that offers authentic Mexican food. Thank you El Legendario!
So Cal native, felt like I was back home. Carne Asada Fries on the menu (staple food item if you ever get to San Diego). Free chips/salsa (unheard of at several Mexican joints in WA state). The service was amazing. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was legit and tasty.
El Legendario es uno de los mejores lugares en Seattle para comer y celebrar con amigos. Los tequilas y tacos están de muerte. El servicio de los propietarios como de los empleados es muy agradable. Un rinconcito con el arte culinario de México. Buen Provecho!
The food here is incredible! From the appetizers to the entrees trough the dessert. I highly recommended stopping in! Thank you El Legendario. Great service! Great food!
The salsa and chips were excellent. Fresh! Very different salsa and very good. I got the asada tacos the meat was great. Not chewy. My favorite so far.
Incredible! The Mojado Burrito is killer. Margaritas are yummy too. Service is top shelf.
Truly handmade very friendly staff I would highly recommend eating here
Authentic food and a labor of love from the owners, this place has great food and doesn't skimp on the portions! Give it a shot.
I am addicted to the chorizo. It is 100% amazing. As are their homemade tortillas.
Man I love this family run spot!!! Great food and service everytime!!!

Excellent food, great service, totally recommended!!
Good food with generous portions. Very impressed with the new neighborhood Mexican restaurant.
8/21/23: Jalapeno and cheese (Rajas) tamale is the best I've had. Mole enchiladas and Queso fries are also fantastic but next time I'd order the queso with tortilla chips instead. Chocoflan is good but not in the same league as the previous items.
As good as the reviews are I'm kind of surprised it's not even higher. I'm bummed I didn't try this place earlier. We had the birria tacos and stew + a tamale. Everything was so tasty, and pretty cheap for what we got actually. This place is perfect if you want a cheap lunch without sacrificing quality. 12 bucks for two huge birria tacos, a bowl of the broth, limes, toppings, roasted jalapeno, etc? You could easily get full on delicious food here for about $10 which is basically unheard of nowadays.
El Lengendario gives laid back, authentic Mexican cuisine vibes. In keeping with that, the service was friendly but slow.
We ordered and shared three dishes. The best (by far) were the California tacos; the carnitas were crispy and full of flavor. I would come back for these alone!! The birria tacos flavor was just okay and quite spicy. Lastly, the burrito mojado with pollo was absolutely stuffed and flavors were pretty good.
It can be pretty hard to find killer Mexican food in Seattle, and although it didn’t completely knock our socks off, we would come back to try more.
Best torta I've had in seattle. It was drenched in sauce 💗
The chips and salsa are great here. I always enjoy their Burrito Mojado (pictured). Sometimes I want enchiladas and sometimes I want a burrito and this is a great middle ground. The restaurant is cozy and tables are pretty large. I wish they had a soda machine and not cans and the price is a tad on the high side but a little better if you dine in. Overall it was a good meal and great leftovers.
The food was pretty delicious. I tried the Birria tacos and the beef cheek tacos. Both were good, but the Birria ones are the best! My friend had pozole and they enjoyed it as well. It looked legit! We ordered a Michelada plus another drink like a Michelada but with tequila and fresh chopped mango. So friggin good!
I would like to go back and try more dishes.
Great tasting food.. micheladas have a are super tasty. Put the star of our meal tonight was the burrito mojado with Al pastor meat. It was incredible. Prices are a little high for my comfort but it’s probably a Seattle thing (im from AZ). Definitely recommend this place!
We came here with a big hangover and we’re satisfied with everything. We left feeling way better than how we came. Tried the menudo, I wish it had corn just like it’s made on the northern side of Mexico but it was really good. Probably my favorite dish. Tried the barbacoa , gordita and tacos as well. The barbacoa was ok , the meat was a bit hard but overall good. Tacos and gordita were excellent. Customer service was a plus, everyone was really nice, even the chef or one of them said thank you when we were leaving which made it even more welcoming.
This was the BEST Mexican food and service ever!! I ordered tamales, and Birria tacos. I asked for consume and they brought me a whole bowl (ummm...DELICIOUS). I really can't stress enough how great this place was. We went at 4:30pm, so we beat the dinner rush. The ambience was humble, and peaceful. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The food tasted amazing. The portions are generous and it was one of the few times that I've had to wait a few minutes before eating because the food was fresh off the grill and hot! While I waited, I ate delicious fresh tortilla chips and indulgent queso dip. I will absolutely be returning next time I visit Seattle. You will not be disappointed, folks!!
This is the best kept secret in the area. Hands down best most authentic food you can find in Seattle. Parking issues be damned! Love everyone here and the food is top tier. The mole is so delicious you will want to come everyday. All the staff is fantastic and really feels like you are part of a community when you come back every time.
Best Mexican food I've ever had, both me and my partner had a great time enjoying tacos and menudo here. I never been to Mexico but I'm from nyc, El Legendario beats all the Mexican restaurants I had in new york.
They continue to up their game! Me encanta, me encanta! Great, reliable, delicious food! Over the 9 months I’ve been eating here I’ve become happier and happier. Fast, friendly and attentive service. Easy take out or dine in. Comfortable atmosphere and enjoyable space to be in. I’ve had all the tacos! The guacamole, margaritas, salsa and pico is great! The taco Tuesday deals are super cheap! Recently, they’ve increased their prices but I swear the quality has gone up. Well worth it. El legendario es un restaurante maravilloso! Voy a regresar otra vez y otra vez. Mi familia encanta también! Muchos tiempos buenos aquí! Muchas gracias!
Just grabbed a quick takeout pair of burritos. Pastor/cheese and fish.
OMG so delicious. My pastor was great value, but my god was the fish HUGE. My wife has delivered smaller babies. Perfect construction! Scientific distribution of the fillings. You can slice it like sushi (she did…) and every bite is perfect.
Stop reading this and go stuff your face.
First time visiting. It was busy as it was 'cinco de mayo' but the food was delicious!! I had the gorditas with braised pork and my friend had tacos. We shared chips with guac and queso. The guac and queso were also amazing.
This place is amazing. Had the California burrito with Al pastor. Delicious. Margarita …. Basically a scratch at the cost you would see a cheap out of bottle mix at any other place. Highly recommend. New go to Mexican restaurant in Seattle hands down
This was such a treat. Warm cozy family atmosphere, delicious plentiful traditional food. Freshly fried chips, handmade tortillas. We really enjoyed our dinner.
I'm originally from LA so finding good Mexican food in Seattle is tough. But this place is soooo good 🤤👍🏼. The birria tacos with the broth, reminds me of my grandma's from Mexico. Parking is tough tho.
