Love this restaurant! Let's start by the staff. The wait staff is excellent and he an eye for detail and a memory to go with it. Very warm and personable. The wait staff also has great recommendations and wine pairings with your meal if you wish to indulge in a glass or possibly a bottle of vino. The chef/owner this guy is simply amazing and humble!! He lets his food do all the talking. Now on to the FOOD! Big flavors found in every dish made and served. Cafe Bengodi serves your food hot off the pan/oven to your table. Serving temp of the food is perfect!! Big Italian chain restaurants have your food waiting under a heat lamp until your server brings it to your table. So far we've had the following: - Carbonara - Vongole - Polpette - Ragu di Carne - Lasagna Each dish was delicious. These pasta dishes were served al dente' (a bit firm). This is our preferred way we like our pasta. The marinara sauce was nice, subtle and developed. Before you know it you'll be done with your dish. Just a sample of our food experience. The sauces for the Vongole was nice and light and the pasta and class were seasoned perfectly. The Carbonara was a perfect with the creamy egg and parmesan cheese and prosciutto. The Lasagna was packed with ricotta and mozzarella with a mouth watering beef that simply melted. Finally this work of art sat in the middle of a nice creamy tomato sauce. Wow... I can keep on going! So don't take my word for it. Just go and taste it for yourself!

The salmon pasta was excellent, they did not skimp on the salmon like a lot of restaurants do. The tiramisu was authentic just like how one of my Italian friends mom made. The water was attentive and polite. The food was flavorful and reasonable priced. I will come back here again!

EDIT: On my 2nd visit, I would say the service is a little slow, but I would most definitely recommend the homemade meatballs! A pleasant surprise! Despite living nearby today was my first visit; we hesitated for a long time but finally took the leap and it was good! We ordered a mozzarella spaghetti, a chicken risotto to share and a clam pasta (forgot the name). The spaghetti was very tomato-y with the marinara, the clam pasta was delicious, and I recommend the risotto! The rice on it was cooked perfect and the savory flavor was great. It's a small staff and space and the food comes out piping hot. Nothing fancy about it, just good food! Looking forward to trying some desserts next time 😃

Small Italian restaurant next to the light rail station on Beacon Hill. They are getting better and better each time I visit. Get there early as seating fills up fast and there are not that many tables. Food is really tasty and the waiter was fast and efficient. He handled the full floor himself with easy shuttling between taking orders, filling water, and delivering food. I commend his efficiency.

The food here is good, the drinks are decent, and the staff is nice when I've been. They also have a great deal much of the time I've been to get a meal for 2 for under $70 (including apps, drinks, and dessert!). I think the dessert menu could be a touch more robust though!

We have dined there several times, twice with a big family gathering. We make a reservation and tell them what table we will need to accommodate my son's large power chair. They will do whatever is necessary to make our table accessible for the wheelchair. Accessible bathroom. Terrific service and in the spirit of Luigi, the food is Fantissimo!!

This tiny restaurant was packed last night. The food was so good! The garlic bread was crispy on the outside, pillow soft on the inside. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the marinara rich (but not overly), the fresh mozzerella - out of this world. Reasonable portion sizes, not expensive at all. One friend had the risotto - it was divine. The other ordered a dish that used to be on the menu but is no longer - they gladly made it for him, I think it was called Pasta Romantico. 10/10 would go again.

I had the Carbonara and it was Delicious! The place is new so it was pretty empty, but if they keep serving great food at great prices there is going to be a line around the corner soon. The staff was attentive and friendly. I wish I wasn't working or I would have enjoyed some wine with my meal. I will be back!

This is a hidden gem on Beacon Hill. Great food, excellent service and never a long wait. The pasta carbonara, pasta salmone, and sicillia risotto are favorites. They fly a little under the radar because they amassed some poor reviews before the previous owner sold the business. Since, the change in ownership they've been steadily gaining reputation locally and have become a favorite of my families. I highly recommend giving them a try before the internet figures out how good they are now and the rarely a wait thing changes..

Food is good. Really like the risotto. But my partner loves the ragu pasta. Service is spot on. Usually pretty quiet even when busy. Not to expensive and nice relaxing atmosphere.

Actual Italian experience. This was like going to Italy and finding a little spot to eat on a side street. The risotto was excellent and the pasta finely nuanced. The House Wine was simple but good.

The separated spaces by airy curtains made the space feel larger and yet more private. The garlic bread was garliscious! The house salad and funghi pasta were a great choice. The dessert my neighbor ate almost moved me to also order the cannoli! She said it was her second.

Our favorite place in Seattle for Italian food. We've been coming here since it was on 1st Ave. New location is very nice. One day I'm going to take one of Luigis cooking classes. Bon appetit 💗

Amazing chicken balsamic pine nut salad. Garlic bread was so good and pesto chicken pasta was wonderful. Only negative thing was thiramsu. It was obviously not homemade and fairly bland.
