Just popped in here after spending time taking in the views at Kerry Park... On a bright cold Halloween day... Their seafood soup and pork ramen hit all the right spots... The portions are huge... One of the above can be had by two...
Small Korean restaurant with nicely appointed tables and a good atmosphere. I ordered the house specialty - a kimchi stew - and it was served boiling in a hot pot. The flavors were okay and I expected a little more spice and depth. Overall not bad, and I appreciated the numerous vegetarian options.
Take out review: Ordered some hot noodle soup and the dumplings for a quick lunch. It was not too bad but the noodle soup was quite subtle and flavorless. I guess if I was trying to cut on my sodium then I would appreciate it more haha. The dumplings weren't too bad actually. Not too special or anything but I guess I might come back for a quick lunch if I'm nearby again.

Awesome little shop. Bulgogi tacos were great and they have this cinnamon drink that was soooo good.
This place has my favorite soup ever! I used to get the eomuk tang (fish cake soup) before they changed their menu, but now I think the veggie noodle soup with fish cake added is even better. The broth is so flavorful yet light and the addition of noodles makes it more substantive. Staff are friendly and the ambience is cozy. I feel lucky to live so close to this place.
The food is good. Pricey, but the portions are big. The owners are also really nice, but be patient since it doesn't seem like they have many workers.
Really enjoyed this spot. The staff was super friendly and the food was awesome. Wried the bibimbap and kimchi bulgogi tacos and I recommend both. Definitely a casual spot with quick service.

Thank you GoldinBlack for reading/replying to my review! The new stainless steel chopsticks are an excellent upgrade. Food is still delicious, very good quality & friendly service. 감사합니다 😄
Hidden South Korean gem in Seattle's busy lower Queen Anne neighborhood; recent interior renovations are modern, minimalist & clean; menu is not really fusion but basically traditional with a slightly contemporary flavor, somewhat limited but several familiar staples like 김치볶음밥 (kimchi fried rice) and 떡만두국 (rice cake dumpling soup) are prepared with fresh ingredients; soft tofu soup (stew) has a subtle difference in taste than one usually expects but still delicious and healthy; 반찬 (traditional side dishes) are not included like at most Korean restaurants, however, some entrees have add-on options; other menu items include strEats like bulgogi sandwiches, tacos & 떡볶이 (spicy rice cakes); also serving yummy kimchi pancakes & Korean alcoholic beverages: 소주, 막걸리; overall good quality but cheap Chinese takeout chopsticks should be upgraded with aluminum for dine-in customers; friendly owners; definitely worth a visit; support your local restaurants & small businesses 👍😄
SO YUMMMMMY!!!!! Please go give this place a taste - looks like a family run business. I got the kimchi jigae with tofu and my partner got the japchae - we also got the rice cake to share. I can't wait to go back.
This place is absolutely phenomenal. I got the bibimbap escape and my bf got the tteokbokki and both were perfectly done. I don’t think I’ve ever had better bibimbap, it was perfectly seasoned. The woman who runs this place is also the sweetest and a total delight. We’ve been here a number of times now, it’s a new favorite!
Bibimbap, Bulgogi Noodles and Bulgogi and Kimchi Dinner. All the dishes were all very satisfying. A must-try dish is the Bibimbap. The staff is friendly and courteous. I definitely would love to visit again.
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at GoldinBlack, where I especially relished their Stir Fry Noodles with Side Kimchi. My appetite was piqued by the presentation's superb use of brilliant colors and a lovely set-up of the elements. I was impressed by the dish's flawless taste fusion when I took my first bite. The kimchi's mild spice and sweet notes from the stir-fry sauce worked in perfect harmony. The noodles had the proper texture—they were soft but firm enough to keep their shape. Overall, everything came together well to create a delicious gastronomic experience that left me craving more. I urge you to go to GoldinBlack soon and taste this dish for yourself.
The ownership changed a month or two ago, so this review is from before the change. The food was great. So much flavor and very large portion for the bibimbap. Service was slow, but they were so kind and apologetic about it. The only problem is it was terribly hot in there. Sad to hear that ownership changed, as it was one of my favorite Korean restaurants I've found in Seattle.
Peak Korean soul food.
I ran the Lake Sammamish half marathon that day and needed something to nourish my body. The spicy tteok-bokki with beef and ramen noodles with a warm kettle of hot tea was exactly what I needed. Absolute hidden gem of Seattle and you won't want to miss it
Amazing!! The service is super quick and friendly. The food was AMAZING and the portions were perfect! Will definitely be coming back here whenever I am back in Seattle :)
Absolutely incredible food. Everything is delicious! Come many times and try everything. On top of that, the owner/manager is amazing and kind and takes care of all her customers to the highest degree.
