Great food great cocktails, love the Sherpa spike! I highly recommend the Sherpa stew! If you are looking for a good food at very reasonable price this place can't be beat.
This is the best Himalayan food in town! Thank you for the great service and friendly atmosphere
I've been here twice, and it was amazing both times. The naan tastes as amazing as the 3 entrees I've tried.
Excellent food. The flavors were mellow but very good and well balanced. And the service was great! Granted we were the only ones in there but our waiter was a super friendly shy guy. Very attentive.
I'm a creature of habit when I get food from your restaurant....Sherpa stew with lamb and pork mo-mos. Both are so good, I get them every single time!
I have been to Nepal and traveled around the country there....your food makes me feel like I'm back!
I love the food here. I had originally planned to get sushi down the street, but they were closed. Luckily, the Himalayan Sherpa House was open! So delicious. The chai is great ! I'll definitely return.
Excellent food, Great Customer Service !!! Don't forget MOMO .
Great food and very nice owners. I've taken several friends there now and they all love it.
Loved this restaurant when I was in Boulder! So wish we had one in Bend!
We ordered dal bhaat with whole wheat roti which was tasty but we noticed their portion size is small . Spice level is good according to our taste but only thing we didn’t like is that their portion size of dal , sabzi in thali was very less. Also their momos were good but Nepali roll which we ordered we didn’t like it much
The ambiance is comfortable with regional maps under the glass table tops. The kitchen area is open to view just like a rustic mountain in. Usually we are one of the few"caucasian" couples and the mix of languages is another indicator of the "authenticity" of the food. It seems to be family owned and not a "commercially" motivated business. Such attitudes always make the food taste better.
For anyone who is into Asian/ Nepal/Sherpa/Himalaya culture, this place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the scenic Green Lake, it offers authentic flavors of Nepalese/Tibetan/Indian food. The decoration is typical Nepalese/Sherpa style, reminds me of the numerous places eaten during three months of travelling in different regions of Nepal. Dal Phat is full of flavor, and naan bread is soft and fluffy. Himalayan Stew is also quite authentic, reminds me of the dishes I tried in Sherpa restaurants, when hiking on the world famous Everest Base Camp route in Khumbu region of Nepal.
Pretty authentic Nepalese food with the right amount of spice! We tried a variety of dishes including a Nepalese Stew (Chicken), Momo, and Stir Fried Lamb - all of them were flavorful and well done! The amount of oil was also very controlled. Best part - there were all Nepalese folks in the kitchen so you know you are in good hands!
Average but good - good offerings, pretty nice interior, fast service, reasonably priced for what it is.
Pros: • Decent food & fast service,
• Choose how spicy you want your food
• Good portion size
• Reasonably priced
• Great for groups!!
• Abundance of street parking
Cons:
• Great staples, not super exceptional, just the basics
Pictured below / We got:
• Garlic Naan (not pictured)
• Tandoori Chicken
• Chicken Tikka Masala
The menu says entrees include "basmati rice, traditional Nepali dal, yogurt sauce & homemade tomato chutney" photos include everything we got aside from the naan.
We got the sampler dish that came with a large variety of foods including tikka masala, vegetable curry, a creamed spinach dish, lentil soup, momo (dumplings), naan, and rice pudding dessert. For $40, it was a great deal and me and my partner enjoyed every dish. Perfect for a cold fall night.
It was our first time having Himalayan/Nepalese food and it definitely did not disappoint. It was a great mix of Indian-style foods that was milder and less spicy, but 10 times more comforting. The momo were like gyoza shaped dumplings with different spices served with a chutney. My favorite was the Dal soup, a thin lentil soup that’s worth getting by itself. We’re going back soon.
Service was great, attentive and courteous. Only thing that could have been improved was more rice with our sampler dish. Great place!
The owners are super nice people. I had the Lamb Masala which is the best lamb masala I have ever had. A lot of meat served, not like some cheap Indian restaurants with little meat hidden in the thick sauce. The Naan is nice as well, soft and not super thin. The best is the Veggie dumplings (momo). Very delicate on the outside, and delicious inside. Complimentary lentil soup that comes with the dishes is also delicious, but no room for a big bowl for us two. lol
Authentic Himalayan restaurant! Most of the staff here actually climbed Everest. Really glad I found this hidden gem. They have been open for about 5 years.
We had Thukpa and momos. The Thukpa tasted very nice. It was totally authentic. The spice level was good as well. There was nice hospitality as well. This place is a visit again for sure.
Great environment and great food, definitely will go back, I want to give a 4.5 star but google doesn’t have it.
