I chose this little place after several failed attempts at finding somewhere that didn't require a wait of 30 minutes to an hour. Little did we know it was Salvadorian food that was out of this world! My only complaints was that the bathroom down the back alley way was definitely not appealing and was very dirty. But it seriously was a small sacrifice for the seriously amazing food. The service was also genuinely friendly and warm! I'm undoubtedly going back!

curtido + PUPUSA POWA!! thanks so much for including vegetarian options on your diverse menu… 'twas a perfect, affordable, and healthy lunch! and the yucca brought on a delicious, crunchy nostalgia that was much appreciated and devoured :D

So good!! Amazing place for authentic pupusas. We had a craving and stumbled across this place, and it did not disappoint. Around $5/pupusa so not bad price wise either. Will definitely be back!

Delicious and affordable. The pupusas taste so fresh and I really like the salsa that comes with it. Communication with the server can be a bit tough so it’s hard to ask for modifications, but that doesn’t usually factor into my ratings as I really just care about the food. Lots of gluten free options, was able to come here with a friend that has celiac’s. The tamales and empanadas are really good as well. Pickled cabbages are amazing!! I love how spicy it is. Will be coming back regularly!

Not too much food for the price, but the fish tacos were delicious. Pupusa was a dish I hadn’t eaten before and I didn’t know what to expect, but it definitely tasted like they wanted to provide an authentic dining experience rather than a more marketable version.

OMG!! This place is AWESOME! I'd never had a pupusa before or fried yuca! The gentleman who was working had great suggestions, and my food was spectacular!! Definitely going to come back and bring some friends! Thanks Guanaco's!

Wondered into this place while exploring Seattle and feeling pretty hungry, but I noticed the sign in the window that said 100% plant based. This place exceeded my expectations by far. The food was fantastic, service was great, couldn't ask for better plant based Mexican food. If I find myself in Seattle again I will for sure stop by this place again. 5/5 guys, fantastic job!

The pupusas are amazing here! My favorite combo is jalapenos, cheese and cactus. Docking a star because they definitely don't open at 11:30 on weekdays like they claim on their door. We came by at 11:30 and there was no staff in sight, eventually gave up at 11:40 to go eat elsewhere.

Excellent pupusas! It is busy during lunch hours, as it is known locally as a delicious and affordable place to eat, and even when busy they make your food pretty quick. You can pick three from about a dozen fillings for the pupusas, I chose 🌵/🐔/🧀, but you could easily make them more vegetarian or more meaty as desired. I got #7, two pupusas and rice and beans, it was filling!

Went here for the first time and the food is outstanding. Also my first time having Salvadorian food and it's definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, now. Cute, low-key atmosphere, easy to hold a conversation, super friendly staff, and the food is really good. Great spot for a date if you're also going to a show at the Neptune Theater or somewhere else near the Ave. They have about 8-10 tables and the food is fairly quick to come out. Very big menu that is flexible for vegetarian, vegan, and I think gluten free as well.

Small place with big flavor. The pupusas are delicious. I had one with chicken, nopal (cactus) and cheese. Oh, so yummy. The spicy cabbage slaw and fried yucca were great, too. Highly recommend.

I'm from Portland and every time I'm in Seattle I always come here but they're not answering their phone right now, what's up? Are they still in business?

No frills, you pays your money and you get your mind blowingly authentic Salvadoran home cooking. The stuffed fried plantain included with the pupusa plate is a life-changing sensory experience. Buñuelos en miel made from yucca, wonderful.
