I was visiting Seattle with a friend and popped in on a Sunday morning to get a nice bite to eat. The server was kind and able to sit me right away. It was a pleasant day, the windows were open and there were people out walking their dogs! I love animals, so I was really happy to be seated near the window where I could coo at all the animals. I ordered a Latte and a waffle and both were so delicious, I just melted into my chair and couldn't stop smiling The waffle had the most wonderful granola, little bit of yogurt, ripe peaches, and bacon - AMAZING! I couldn't eat it all, but I really wanted to!! My waiter joked about how amazing dogs were and we cooed at some dogs together. I mean, 5 stars for the delicious coffee and waffle, but also 5 stars for the experience. When I visit Seattle again, I'll definitely be going back!

Amazing service and then food was fantastic! We had a quiche (which came with delicious pickled cauliflower on the side), pastry, yogurt and specialty coffee. The seating area was very comfortable and clean. We highly recommend and will definitely return upon our next vacation to Seattle!

This is a great bakery/cafe in Seattle. Fairly quiet and quite well stocked even later in the day. Sandwiches are filling and delicious, the berry shortcake was superb!

We had lunch on Sunday. Only had to wait about 10 minutes as there were 3 of us and most tables are 2-tops. Traditional eggs were great and quantities just right. Choice of bacon or sausage and different breads, along with great coffee and fresh-squeezed oj. Pastries in the case looked phenomenal!

Macrina is one of the best bakeries in Seattle. I have been enjoying their baked goods for years. I just, tried their chocolate babka. It was the that I have since migrating from the East 25 years ago. The bread part of the Babka is outstanding as is the filling and the crumble on top. The only thing that would be better is a cinnamon babka.

Excellent selection of breads, pastries, & baked goods. Bagels are amazing, it’s a must have. Great ambience. Very friendly staff, good location. Not too crowded. Very clean. Great ambience. Wonderful experience overall. Breads are so good. A hidden gem in Seattle. Bagels are made from sourdough, excellent.

We walked to Macrina Bakery & Cafe on a Friday morning. By 10am the inside was already packed with few seats available outside as well. Luckily we were able to snag a table outside right as another party was leaving. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the pastries before eating them. We ordered a cold brew, cappuccino, raspberry lemon cake, ginger cookie, upside apple cardamom cake, and chocolate orange coffee cake. The coffees were pretty good. I'm not a coffee snob or connoisseur by any means but I thought the cappuccino was tasty. The apple cardamom cake was decent but slightly dry. I'm not the biggest fan of cardamom, but could appreciate the flavor combination. The ginger cookie was easily the best pastry we ordered and had an amazingly satisfying chewy texture. The raspberry lemon cake had good flavor but was a little dry. The chocolate orange coffee cake was also a little dry, but was really good when you were able to get a bite with lots of chocolate chips in it. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit to Macrina Bakery & Cafe. It is located in Capitol Hill in an extremely cute area, which makes it a great neighborhood coffee spot. I would love to visit again to try out their other pastries, and could see this place becoming a regular spot if I lived nearby.

What a wonderful neighborhood bakery! Beautiful (and delicious) handmade pastries and bread. Pricy ($5-6 an item), but definitely get what you pay for! We came on a Sunday morning and it was pretty packed, but we ordered, paid, and had our food within 10 minutes! Service and cleanliness were 10/10!

I want to own Macrina Bakery and Cafe, for real. No one walks in to this bakery and says, “That’s enough.” Well, maybe SuperWo/man. Not me, nor my family and friends. I actually prank friends and bring them to Macrina and then when the window shopping is over I say, “Just kidding. I don’t eat baked goods.” And I begin the long walk out with screams and cries behind me. I mean, what can you say about a business that is so good at creating a desire and then exceeding the fulfillment? So do yourself a favor and make the trip to Macrina Bakery and tell me I’m wrong. Everyone thanks me for this tip - Go. There. Now.

This is a huge bakery with a huge selection of baked items. We got CATE sandwich, chicken pot pie, an americano and a mocha. We also got a strawberry cheesecake after. The sandwich was tasty while the pot pie was okay. The mocha was a bit watery while the americano was delicious. The cheesecake was good too as well.

Good lord! I had the most delicious sesame bagel with chive cream cheese here! Crispy on the outside and just perfectly chewy on the inside. The chive spread was fantastic, too. I also had a cappuccino and picked up some of their year-round squash bread. Top notch! Always perfect!

One of our favorite bakeries! The family favorites are the Quiche - they just melt in your mouth. the goodness of eggs along with fresh veggies is mouth watering! next are their sandwiches, the verdura sandwich on their local foccassica bread and their in house foccacia bread is good! we loved their banh mi sandwiches as well.. and ofcourse, we always get their challah or bread. you can also find their challah in whole foods (if you are lucky!) lastly, nothing like a hot coffee to sip while you taste these mouthwatering dishes!

In the old Surrogate Hospice site, the first restaurant in Seattle with community seating like in the county restaurants in France. It’s a lovely historic spot on Seattle’s food scene, even if pretty much nobody remembers - but I do!

Love love love this bakery. If I need bread for anything, it will always be from Macrina Bakery. Their chai isn’t a shining star, but it’s not what they’re known for so I can’t complain that much. Their ciabatta buns are perfect for burger night, the baguettes are great for charcuterie boards and the oatmeal cookies are just perfection. I can’t wait to try their bagels next.

Lively neighborhood bakery with delicious baked goods. I tried a meat quiche that was delicious (amazingly flaky crust) and a dark Mocha was just perfect. Follow the signs overhead to know where to order and pickup. It can get busy when the schools let out in the afternoon.

Excellent breakfast experience. I ordered the breakfast BLT. Next time, I will ask for burnt bacon, but it was delicious! Also ordered a Vanilla Latte, it was probably the best late I have had in recent memory. I'll be back again for sure.

Awesome cafe. There many options if you are sweet tooth, ranging from croissants to cake slices. Staff’s are also very welcoming. Do try out their mocha and cake slices. I loved the location of this Cafe, outside the city hustle. Grab the coffee and walk around to enjoy the time.

Delicious! You will become fat and happy! All your monies will be turned to bread and pastries and you will not care. Excellent flavoring, especially the passion fruit little cake thingies and the orange creme cakes. The dill scone could use more dill.

The employees at Macrina were extremely kind, but I was a little sad that there was no “dine in” option - my bagel was given to me in a to go bag, with cream cheese on the side, and I had to find a way to spread it on there without making a huge mess. The bagel was also not my favorite, I didn’t find it fluffy enough. I would definitely return to try something else though, there were lots of amazing looking pastries and breads, and I have loved Macrina breads in the past.

We stopped by for breakfast. Pastry is delicious as usual. I ordered mocha and "Ham & Cheese Brioche." Quiches are one of our favorites. I recommend this bakery.
