A great chat with author Simon Winchester and his new work: The Perfectionists. Lunch was excellent and as always good company to enjoy both. I love this bookstore and its people are knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. I will be coming back often.
Third Place is the Best Place. Great books, great cafe, great food, great beer, great vibe.
Incredibly cute place with great staff and service!
This is my favorite bookstore. Friendliest staff and great book recommendations!
Love the homey-funky atmosphere. Had a nice exchange with my writer group while sipping black Rasputin!
Great local bookstore! We stopped by one our trek yhrough Seattle's independant bookstores day, what fun. It was packed and the restaurant was very busy, but good to see so many people in a bookstore.
Great bookstore! Alongside City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco and the old Gotham Book Mart in Manhattan.
Such a cute cozy book store! Loved how quint it was and great customer service!
It's a really good bookstore, with a really good café (Vios) in back, and a pub downstairs where the Seattle Esperanto Society has met 10 AM the first Saturday of the month for years. Bonega kunvenejo!
A terrific bookstore, well loved, with outstanding speakers (authors) and other programs as well.
I came here for one thing and one thing only: Lamb Burger! There are only a handful of places around the city that serves the LB, and they’re not all alike. Cafe Arta & Pub’s is solid, nothing too exotic. It’s built like a basic burger: lettuce, tomato, (real) cheddar cheese, (caramelized! ❤️) onions. Salt and pepper seasoning was done with an even hand. You can request your condiments. I liked the simplicity, as I was able to enjoy the lamb flavor for what it is.
One side note, though I do like medium rare, I did ask for a medium cooked patty. It was more medium rare than medium, so keep that in mind if you decide to swing by.
This place was absolutely amazing! stopped in to check out the place and maybe grab a drink, ended up visiting the pub below for a once in a life time experience! the cafe was clean, the staff were polite and cheery (and not the fake customer service smile, genuinely pleasant). ended up talking with the own who was warm and welcoming and found out about the pub/restaurant down below and decided to check it out. first of all the atmosphere was awesome, good music, but not too loud, light chatter and laughter, overall just very welcoming. the aesthetics were intriguing with all wood tables, bar top, and walls. come to find out all the wood in the place was gathered from a single tree. lots of history in such a cool place. when it came to the food i was blown away by how good it was. you can get Mediterranean food all over the place, but it does not compare to this place. chatting with the owner (who was constantly talking with customers to make sure they had everything this needed) i found out they do not do any frozen foods, everything was made in house (to include the amazing tzatziki sauce). over all i would recommended checking this place out, you will not be disappointed.
Unbelievably great about everything. It’s a must to try. Be back for sure.Just went back for breakfast on Saturday, amazing food and absolutely reasonable prices. This is becoming a signature restaurant for Ravenna neighborhood. Keep up the great work. Just came back for brunch morning 12-9-23, unbelievable great food and amazing costumer service.Just read the heath inspection history and NO CRITICAL VIOLATIONS. Previous review is FAKE AND MISLEADING.RATING IS GOOD AND VISIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE.
The breakfast sandwich is served with delicious and noticeably fresh ciabatta. The tomatoes also tasted very fresh.
The owner was a pleasure to talk to - it’s clear she works hard to make everyone feel happy and satisfied.
This was my first time at this cafe, but I’ll definitely be back.
Great hidden gem in the heart of NE Seattle.
Greek/ Mediterranean food, served in lovely garden, for eating outdoors, while basking in spring sun. Super kind friendly waitress.
Beer so good you only need one. The lamb pita sandwich is amazing and Justin does a killer job recommending beers when my favorite (hacker) is out or they don’t have the same one i like on tap. Fairly priced and amazing vibes guaranteed. I usually FaceTime friends while I am here, but do my best to keep my voice down because I think they have signs that kindly ask you not to take phone calls (probably because they play awesome music and it helps keep the charm and energy of the place solid). happy to have such an awesome bar so close to work to come to and decompress. Always makes my day even better.
I had a lunch with a friend who lives near the cafe. Nice selection of menu from Greek to American food. I chose to have Greek this time. We also had a soup. Food was great, y the service was good. No complaints! It is a very nice neighborhood restaurant/cafe. They also have great coffee/ tea & baked goods. Great for family, off street parking available.
My favorite breakfast place in Seattle! We come in almost every weekend and always have a wonderful experience. It is tucked away in the back of a bookstore which feels so cozy. We get the baked eggs and the breakfast sandwich but we’ve tried tons on the menu and haven’t made a bad choice yet. Arta is always running around making sure everyone is taken care of. They also have an adorable patio that we are looking forward to sitting at during the warmer months!
Have gone into this cafe a few times and am very impressed with both the food and the service. The cafe upstairs is brighter and great for large group dinners and brunch visits while the pub downstairs is extremely cozy. The best thing about this restaurant is the excellent food every trip in, with the lamb souvlaki sandwich and the bacon Mac n Cheese being my favorite as they are delicious and generous portions. Extremely friendly staff and a nice Internet cafe for when I just order some coffee and study a bit. I see some reviews have complained about the separation between those ordering coffee and those ordering full dinners but the owner and staff has always made it clear while being friendly to me so I really don’t understand the privileged responses. Anyways great spot check it out!
Awesome staff, the food was great and got service as soon as we walked in on a busy Saturday. 10/10 would recommend and definitely coming back. Shout out to Arta Ed!
Third Place Books and Café Arta...great combination. Something for all. 5 Stars for morning staff and their attention, which is my time-frame. I like the high tables and stool seating overlooking NE 50th & 65th N.E.
Great bar. First time customer and they made me feel like a regular. Had the charcuterie plate. It was excellent. Loved the raw edge wood tables. Air conditioning was working great on a warm day. Good selection of local beers on tap. Nice clean bathrooms.
I will definitely be heading back there when I'm in the neighborhood.
Arta and her crew are amazing! Outdoor brunch there is so enjoyable. The food is always amazingly fresh. After eating we visit the bookstore. Such a great place!!
The food was delicious, the staff and the service is always nice and friendly.Great spot for lunch, dinner or coffee.I would highly recommend this place
This is one of the hidden gems of Seattle. A lovely atmosphere, great staff, and delicious food.
Everything I’ve tried here has been spectacular, as a hidden gem I would recommend trying the side of pork belly it is delicious.
It’s hard to find a more perfect blend of a casual atmosphere and great food and service at a good price - especially in Seattle
I have shared this place with 8 or 9 of my friends and every single one has told me about how it’s one of their new favorites. Try it out!
Charming outside and inside dining, delicious food, and wonderful wait staff including the lovely owner. We will return soon. Enjoyed the rib eye sandwich, a burger and veggie pizza. The soup and salad were tasty, too.
Love the vibe! Good coffee, decent food.
We met the owner, Arte! She was lovely and has a great story!
