This is my new favorite Thai place in town. Food is fresh and delicious. Stand out dishes for us were Drunken noodles and rainbow trout salad (in the specials menu) though the yellow curry tofu was stellar too.
It is open kitchen and it was so cool to see three 'moms' cooking. Was charming and authentic. Service was good but surprisingly most of the folks were doing takeout.
Heads up the spice level was not very consistent. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for some Thai in Columbia City though I will come here just for Bua 9.
Decent Thai food. We went here on a Sunday afternoon. It was quiet with only two other tables occupied. Service was quick and overall ambience was fine. Nothing fancy. Our server was very friendly and got us the food quickly.
I got Khao Soi and my wife got a wide noodles dish with level 4 and level 3 respectfully. It was delicious food. The Thai Iced Teas were excellent too.
We ordered the Rad nah with fried noodles and Pumpkin curry.
They both were really good.
Peak family-owned restaurant vibes with cheap eats but still high quality food! Is it the best Thai food in Seattle, no, but you will sweat with a level 5 spicy!
Between higher prices and slightly lower quality food, I knocked a star off. Still good, but I miss the delicious red (brown) rice, which has been replaced with a combo of white and red. No real consistency in the spice level either, but that's not new. I think a younger generation is squeezing more profits out of the place, but they should keep in mind there are good Thai alternatives nearby.
Awesome Thai place in Colombia city! The Golden Noodles were delicious – a perfect harmony of flavors that leave you craving more. A blend of sweet and savory, complemented by the expert use of Thai spices.
Beyond the Golden Noodles, the entire menu is equally as delicious. The Pad Thai is a burst of tangy goodness, while the Green Curry brings a satisfying kick. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensure you feel well taken care of.
Fantastic, authentic Thai cuisine off Columbia City Main Street. Friendly and helpful staff. Not your usual toned-down spice levels to meet Western palates but full-on real Thai spice levels! Large menu with special dishes and offerings that you will only see in Thailand or at limited Thai restaurants in the area.
Got the chicken pad Thai and spring rolls. $30.95 with 20% tip. Good portion sizes and it’s a good hole in the wall place. The service was great and I’d go back for takeout.
Food is delicious and the service was excellent. Very basic furnishings.
If you need fast and great takeout this is the spot. My food is normally ready in like 5 minutes, the longest I have ever waited is 15. I love the green curry the most, but the pad see ew is a close second.
We got pad kee mao, roti and chicken satay. Both were great. Good portions. They are not joking around on spice levels, we like good spice levels and I wouldn't go beyond 2. Seems a popular take out place.

Summary:
Nice little local Thai restaurant with a pretty solid menu and prices that made sense. The staff was pretty nice and even helped point me to some of their house specials on the menu.
Pricing:
The pricing sat between $12 - $13 for most dishes, save a few appetizers and sides.
My Order:
I ended up getting the spring rolls which I was able to request a half order (though I changed my mind to a full order later on) and an order of Avacado Green Curry at a level 2 spicy. Personally I think the curry should've come with a bit more rice.
Final impression:
The entire time I was checking to see if the reviews were right about the food being too sweet, but I didn't find that to be the case (note: it has been about 6 years since I've been to Thailand). I think for a local shop in Seattle it wasn't that bad - if I'm ever in the area again then I'll return.
I ordered here to go and it came reasonably quick. The staff was nice. I ordered Pad see ew for $16. Not cheap. However i eat very small portions so one order was good for 3 meals. I wish there was more meat and vegetable but flavor wise it was very good.
We went there for lunch, the food and service are nice! Also the atmosphere because they have open kitchen and the thai foods also authentic! The lady was so nice and we had a great chit-chat too! We love to come back here too 😊
I was looking for a quick thai place to stop at before going to get a tattoo in the area. Found this one and it was opened at 11 am which was perfect. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and shrimp and their crab cakes. It was almost $25 and I was like OH MY GOSH! That was quite a bit for 2 items. But when I opened my container and realized that there was 6 crab cakes and my serving of drunken noodles was allot, it totally became worth it for that much. They had very big shrimps in there and several of them (not like many places that only give you 3). I had gotten a level 2 spice which I felt like it was a bit too spicy for me (but I still ate it all LOL). Definitely worth stopping at if you are looking to pick up some to-go food. They currently don’t offer dine in.
Oh thing though, they had bamboo shoots in it which I didn’t really care for but it didn’t make tooo much of a difference in my noodles. I was just shocked by it.
The food is terrific, the staff was super sweet. A spicy score of 5 means REALLY spicy 🥵🌶️🔥
I love spicy food but this was definitely more than what you'll be offered in a run-of-the-mill restaurant. They tried to warn me, my heartburn is 100% my fault! Despite the spice though, I could still enjoy the delightful flavors of my meal. My husband got the pineapple rice, and it was devine, I got the Yum Yum soup & it was good, but I think when we go back I'll get the pineapple rice too, the flavors were warm and comforting and felt like happiness.
The Thai tea was good, a woodier flavor than most others I've had but in a good way. The ambiance was so-so. The open kitchen was cool, I wish I'd faced it to watch everyone cooking. The plain Jane tables, chairs, floors & walls made it feel a little like it was a convenience store last week, but I'm sure it's something they can afford to worry about another day; the food is good enough I'd go back even if they never change the decor.
My family loves this restaurant and we order takeout from them on a regular basis. They're quick and efficient, the people are nice, and they really know how to stir-fry. And as others have said, not too salty, not too sweet, flavorful in a good way. My one complaint is I wish they would work out their spice system so that there is a moderate level available. You order a one, it's blah, barely spicy. Order a two, and watch out! Depending on the day you might get another restaurant's 2, or their 4. I can see that they're making spice-craving people super happy; it would be great if they'd come up with a consistent option for us middle-level folks as well.
