I love the breakfast sandwiches at Alison's, especially the waffle one. Also it has a good vibe, with friendly people usually in and out vs. a bunch of people on laptops.
Not that anyone uses Zomato, but this 2.7 star rating is complete bullshit--as you will see after you read the other reviews. Terrific home baked goods--everything here is baked from scratch, and you can taste it. I live close by, and call myself a regular. Yes, the espresso could use a little work, but the food here is absolutely top-notch.
The first time I was out hunting for Allison's my phone died on me. I wish I could download the maps to my brain ;)
Anyway the time I made it to Allison's was in fact the perfect day, the first day of fall.
The cafe is pretty and does remind one of the beach. The chandelier , the art work , the blue interiors. It all works well. They can accommodate 22 -24 people . I went in the hope of grabbing some desserts but they bake a small quantity and it runs out pretty quickly.
I got myself a Breakfast sandwich , a Berry scone and a Hot chocolate .
The sandwich was tiny and perfect. The Berry scone was just mildly sweet just the way a scone should be.
It is a one man show out there. He is always on his heels and manages everything well. Afternoons are not that crowded. I bet mornings are the time to hit the spot. They even do catering!
I like this quaint cafe and I am going to be paying them visits very often.
Alison and team provided catering for our Brunch themed engagment party and I was absolutely blown away. Not only were they incredible somewhat last minute, but they also made the process easy and worry free! (menu help, glassware rentals, display items and more) And that was before we tasted the food.. Absolutely unforgettable. We will definately be booking with Alison and crew again! Thank you again so much for making our party so increible and EASY!
The coffee ☕ and cake 🧁 at Alison's Coastal Coffee is next level :-) I have spent so many good times here over the last few months that I have probably sampled most things on the menu. There is such a nice buzz here and the atmosphere is really relaxing. LOVE this place 💕
Friendly staff, delicious food! I had the Famous breakfast sandwich with ham (other meat options were bacon and sausage). Friend had the Monte Cristo, which came with an amazing blueberry jam. The place is small so it might be difficult to maneuver between tables, but overall I loved the atmosphere. Will come again!
Cute cafe! The two men working were very nice. Greeted us when we entered and thanked us when we left. The food was amazing, the lattes were strong and delicious, and they even gave us a free cinnamon roll because they made extras! Looking at one of their walls you can get fun cakes made and decorated there. I would highly recommend it!
Mmm Mmm Mmm Good! The food traveled very well via UberEATS. The Cafe packaged the items perfectly with sturdy labeled boxes. I love labels when ordering several items, especially from a bakery. Sometimes you can't tell what is what. Not a problem here. And plenty of napkins and utensils. Food ordered: Bacon Waffle Sandwich, Dutch Baby and Apple Pie Waffle. Oh my goodness the waffles all around are heaven sent! Big and thick yet airy and light. You can definitely taste the quality. These waffles as a sandwich or covered in apple pie filling, you can't go wrong. This was also the first I've heard of a Dutch Baby so of course I had to try it. Thumbs up! It's like eggy and doughy. It came with lemon wedges, didn't think it would be good but thought Hey, this place probably knows what it's doing. And they do! Everything was delicious and I would highly recommend!
Such a cute place. The staff were very friendly and kind. The bacon waffle sandwich was delicious, and I had a great cup of drip coffee. A great spot for friends or to bring a book to go along with a nice breakfast.
Alison's Coastal Cafe & Bakery is a wonderful place for breakfast and lunch and a variety of treats. I am very impressed with their warm hospitality. And I love the pumpkin pie I recently purchased from them.
Overall: a comfortable, quiet cafe that I'd probably come back to.
Details: A quirky respite from the rain with a beaded chandelier and many old tables of various sizes. Fast, personable service, delivering to the table a surprisingly good veggie and egg sandwich (the pesto made it) and a subdued mocha--not too sweet, not too bitter. The drinks are priced well, though the à la carte sandwich didn't seem worth its price. While I didn't try these, their homemade quiche and lasagne slices looked enticing.
