Years of outstanding service, El Coronel deserves some admiration. Your taste buds will thank you for stopping here. They have consistently been a favorite for AUTHENTIC Mexican in Sebastopol for my family and I. Being a local Sebastopolian, this place has not only stayed in business through the pandemic, they seem to have grown and expanded. I find this shows a lot of dedication to excellence for a family owned LOCAL delicacy. The atmosphere is terrific, beautiful and fun! They make you feel like family from walking in, to leaving the door. Every experience has been outstanding. A favorite of mine is their fajita quesadillas. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Their home made flan is delish if you are a flan person like me. 🫶✨🙏
Very happy with the food and service here Maricela really made us feel welcome and explained so much about the food and recommended several dishes that were delicious. My favorite was the Chile relleno and also the al pastor taco. If you like heat, ask for the diabla sauce, it is very spicy. Also, two thumbs up for the home cooked chips and three different dips. Can’t wait to go back and try more.
Despite having lived here [forever], we had never visited this restaurant before. I'm not sure why. We came as a request of the birthday girl who was celebrating her 80th birthday!
The food was excellent. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was just OK. The table wasn't really big enough to fit the six of us in the large chairs. The service was just OK. My litmus test of the empty water glass failed. Despite that, we will likely return.
Very happy servers and authentic atmosphere. I pigged out on a giant burrito, stuffed my face with chips & salsa then ate a giant fried ice-cream. The ice-cream was heavenly. I was a little surprised at the prices on the food - but I guess it's comparable to most restaurants around town these days. Also, BEAUTIFUL Mexican hand crafted color tables and chairs....LOVE.
Great food and service!I love going in here. The food is always great. You get chips, salsa and beans when you sit down. The food seems really fresh. The tableside guacamole we had today was so good! I've never seen more perfect avocados. The tortilla soup had tons of veggies and tasty chicken. My kids were happy with their steak quesadilla and burrito. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Very nice stop along the road to the beach. Beautiful patio on nice day, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, great food with healthy portions. TIPS: If you don’t have plans or room for doggie bags, order lightly, portions are very big, and eat outside if you can.

Consistent food. Top shelf margaritas are always good. Omar is always friendly and somehow remembers everyone’s names and preferences. Fajitas trio are my fav. Great guacamole too.
Great food! Big selection and really fresh veggies. They are very accommodating to vegetarians. Also, outdoor seating is nice and cleaning protocols are great. Staff are really nice too.
Great local Mexican restaurant with extensive menu selections. Really good pork chili Verde and carnitas.
El Coronel has been our favorite restaurants for dining out since it opened. The staff is always friendly and delightful. The service is usually very quick. The atmosphere is always inviting and warm. The decor is delightful and pleasant to the eyes. We have really enjoyed the addition of the outside dining patio during the warmer spring and summer months. The food is delicious and El Coronel has such a variety items on the menu that even after many years of dining here we have yet to sample every dish. El Coronel is one of our top restaurants of choice when dining out with our friends. You can't go wrong to with choosing El Coronel for a delicious enjoyable dining out experience with family and friends.

I had an experience I could have never expected. So beautiful inside. I felt like I was actually in Mexico. You could tell Right away how quality a place this is when you try the chips and perfect red salsa. When I got my super steak burrito the presentation was amazing the way they decorated it with sauce and sour cream and guac. It was obvious the chefs are professionals. the first bite blew my socks off. Every single ingredient was fresh the quality of the steak was superb and cooked to perfection. My lady ordered the sampler platter and she was equally impressed by the taste and quality. We were given so much food for the price we payed we took home enough to feed us twice more. They even gave us a To go foil trey so we could just pop it in the oven to reheat. The service was great. Everyone was really welcoming and smiling. When we left we both agreed that this might be the best Mexican food either of us have ever had. Definitely our favorite place in Sebastopol. I can't wait to go back.
Always a great food place on the way home. The staff always smile and make you feel welcome. We live in Valley Ford and stop in for a tasty margaritas and super delicious cuisine. Most of the time they are super busy but we are acknowledged and the service is professional . Love it,;,will keep coming back and bringing family and friends. YOU ROCK!!!
