This place is da bomb!! Exquisite truffles and caramels….plus a bunch of other yummy stuff that I don’t care about as much 😆. I have a ritual of purchasing the finest truffles I can find for dinner with special friends, and usually I get them from chocolatiers in Berkeley, but this time I was coming from the North — and stumbled upon the one place in Sonoma county that has won First Place for 15 years running. Woot woot! And a 3% cash discount — yay.

This boutique chocolate shop reminds me of Chocolatier in Berkeley, and is curated by David, an owner who takes great care in making custom chocolates with delicious and exotic flavors. He also has a selection of chocolates from around the world that exceeds what a normal chocolate retailer would have. Their sipping chocolate, is to die for, and the location is cool, calm, and quiet, and perfect for doing a little bit of reading. While you enjoy some fine chocolate. I recommend this place to lovers of chocolate, and people who have yet to experience a real chocolate adventure.

I walked in here two days ago and saw that they have a tea tasting on their menu. You can select three teas to try out. So I did. With the help of some suggestions, I tired out a sakura green tea, a milky oolong, and a black tea. The green tea was light in flavor and wasn’t too grassy. It was a light infusion which kept the bitter vegetal notes down, while providing a nice smooth savory flavor from the sakura. The oolong has very strong notes of white peach and butter from the scent. I think it was a bit too fruity for my preference, and it tasted strongly of white peaches. On subsequent brews, the buttery scent and flavor turns more to milk flavors, hence the name. The peachiness is still prevalent. The black tea smelled rich and sweet, but the taste was not sweet. It was still slightly bitter, and low sweetness. It smelt like what I wanted, but didn’t taste the part.

The chocolates from Sonoma Chocolatiers are simply delicious, but extremely perishable. Well worth the effort to seek this site out while we were in Sebastopol and I would encourage you to buy these chocolates at this location or any other location you can find them. Located in a funky tea room there is a great selection and some great flavors. This location has a large parking lot that is free so no problem getting to the store.

Amazing dark chocolate and tea selection! Friendly owner and it’s such a lovely place to chill with friends. I love their darjeeling tea chocolate and pistachio bark. Must go if you are a chocolate lover!

Went in yesterday and was greeted by a divine smell… of spices and of course chocolate. Attendant was calm and present. You can tell the shop and the exquisite quality of the ingredients are handled with great care. I had a deliciously nuanced and rich cup of Sipping Chocolate. A decadent experience for the senses.

Wonderful handmade chocolates made with love. Plus an exceptional selection of teas, fresh and unique. Today I had an awesome rosemary goat cheese muffin. My taste buds are still tingling.

though i haven’t yet had the chance to try the truffles, teas, or muffins, i really appreciated the chocolatier’s kindness hospitality from the moment i entered his store. he took the time to answer my nerdy tea and baking questions even though i admitted up front that i had just eaten lunch and wasn’t looking to purchase anything 😅 that said, i look forward to buying chocolate from here in the future: what i saw in the display case looked gorgeous!
