Very nice and clean place! The employees were all kind. All of the food was delicious! Glad I heard about them in the fb groups so our family could go try a new place. We will recommend you to others, and we will visit again on future trips! If you're reading this, be sure you get yourself the bread pudding for a dessert!

We had driven past PawPaw’s several times this week and kept saying we should give it a try. So today we finally did and we are so happy we did. Five of us dropped in around 2:00 pm. The building and dining room is rustic, so it makes sense for this Louisiana country style fare. The server was really prompt and friendly. Everyone ordered various combinations of catfish and/or shrimp dinners. Here are the highlights: The batter on the catfish and shrimp was great—lightly coated, nicely seasoned and fried just enough. The french fries were hot, crispy, well seasoned and a fantastic alternative to a McDonald’s bag of short, stubby fries. The only downside side was that the combination platters only had two hush puppies and the smaller entrees only had one. The hush puppies were so good we ALL wanted more! Fried just long enough. Really tasty with just enough corn kernels in the batter. This place reinforces our approach of trying to find out where the locals eat wherever we go. If we get back to Pigeon Forge, we will be back. I definitely want to try the gumbo and desserts.

The service was great and very friendly. The place is absolutely clean! We tried the catfish platter and gator bites . The gator bites were delicious!!Their sauces were all soo good! The coleslaw was super fresh! The bread pudding is a must!!! Will be back on my next trip. Had to try it because my husband kept bragging about it from his last trip.

Had the boudin balls and catfish. The catfish was probably the best I've had in Tennessee. Loved the atmosphere, reminded me of all my time working in South Louisiana.

Passing through and stopped in by chance... what a great find! Shrimp po'boy and catfish/shrimp basket. Well worth the stop, and will go back if in this area again.

Took a chance on this place since it was the first time we came to the Smoky Mountains. It was an excellent choice! Service was great & food excellent! We both had the catfish basket with french fries. I had Cole slaw & my husband had baked beans. Cole slaw was a little strong with vinegar but it went well with the catfish. Loved this place!

Loved the whole experience! We had crab cakes for appetizers, fried catfish and shrimp for our entrees, and white chocolate bread pudding. Everything was so delicious, but the white chocolate bread pudding was absolutely amazing. We’re excited to go back and try other items on the menu. So happy we found this local gem in Wears Valley!

Food was so good . I’m actually from New Orleans and it exceeded my expectations. We even ordered food to go after dining in. The owner even came out and talked to us. Wish it was close. Can’t wait to go back.

Brought my aunt here for lunch yesterday. She has some very serious food allergies and has been unable to eat out for a couple of years now. We stopped in the restaurant and ask several questions and the staff was more than accommodating to answer and double check any concerns. My aunt and I both had the catfish (which she could eat) it was delicious. I will definitely return and bring others. The food and service were above and beyond.

I absolutely loved my experience at Pawpaw's Catfish Kitchen. The food was absolutely fabulous. I got to taste alligator and surprisingly they're very good. Our group had various things like catfish and barbecued pork. All of it was excellent and mouth watering. I would highly recommend eating here. Cute little diner type restaurant.

Just ran into this place coming from pigeon forge on wears valley road back to Townsend (it was a Saturday and also classic car festival) everywhere was full. Me and my husband decided to stop and say “what the heck, let’s try it!” And we were blown away by how fast, and friendly what we would call (mom and pop place or hole in the wall place) it was very clean, and the food was just fantastic!! If you don’t know some menu things, just ask! They’re very informational about what they are serving and he’ll figure it out with you! We will be returning, it was great!

This place is so good! The catfish is the best I’ve ever had. Very fresh fish, fried in delicious batter. Such a good little mom and pops environment, very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend!

Ordered the Seafood platter. Everything was cooked to Perfection & Delicious. The place is clean, the waitress was very nice and attentive, the delivery of the food was quick and 'hot' from the pan. If your in the area give them a try. We will eat here again when in the area & give it ☆☆☆☆☆! S&I Blaine, TN

We stopped here today on 1/15/2022 because the cheesesteak place we were hunting wasn’t open and we are glad we did. It’s a small place with about 10 or so tables. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! The catfish came out hot and fresh. Seemed like it was still cooking when it got to our table. The homemade coleslaw was great. The best part is that there wasn’t a huge wait like places on the strip. We highly recommend this hidden gem. We will definitely be back to try the gumbo. We heard customers talking about how good it was.
