My husband & I ate lunch
Shelby Family Restaurant. The food was delicious & home cooked. Our waiter, Steven was friendly, polite, prompt took excellent care of us. Steve Goode ate the country breakfast & loved it. I had fried pork chops, potato salad & white beans. There was so much food, I brought half home for supper. After my surgery Wednesday, we talked about where to go for a late lunch. There are a lot of places to eat between Charlotte & Shelby. Steve said he'd rather go back to where we had eaten the day before, Shelby Family Restaurant. This time he got the fried pork chop plate with pintoes & potato salad & enjoyed it as well as I did. I ordered the baked chicken served over rice, green beans & the best cup of chicken & rice soup I've ever tasted. It was perfect with plenty of chicken, rice & broth. Yummy! The cup of soup filled me up so I brought the rest of it home. Again, Steven Proctor was our excellent waiter. We have enjoyed both meals & will return. Give them a try or a second chance. You should be pleasantly surprised.
Best restaurant to come to shelby! Everyone I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone breakfast is amazing an so is dinner! Im definitely gonna make this my #1 restaurant, great food great prices an great people! Everyone go! You won't be disappointed!
Their food is absolutely fantastic, it's decently priced and the staff are always very friendly. One of the best burgers in town!
Love this place the food is amazing the people are great. If you haven't tried it your missing out.
They have by far the very best seafood in town. The servers are nice and aim to make your experience a good one. The vegetables are really good too. And I have heard statements like, "They have the best Peach Cobbler ever."
Today was the first time going to this restaurant and I was wowed by Cristy's excellent service and the best French Toast I have ever had. One plate filled me up and I'm a big eater. Awesome prices too! They also have a very large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. I'll be back!
My first time here. Great variety of items on the menu. Have to come back to try other items, especially their breakfast. Very great service abd food. I am definitely coming again.
My daughter told me about restaurant but it was June 4th. Went anyway expecting a long wait time. It was packed but wait time was no more than 15 min. Wow! MY waitress was very nice and polite and even smiled when she needed to.Rest of time she had to walk very fast. She as swamped with customers but she was keeping up.The food when I got my plate I just looked at it. I was thinking how can I eat all that, it looked delicious and it was but about 1/2 came home with me.My food was soooo good! The cashier was even polite, smiled, even asked if everything was o.k. just like waitress.I know what time I got in line and I know what time it was when I left. That time was very reasonable. I will go there again.
AWESOME Family restaurant.... GREAT Customer Service..WIDE variety dishes to choose from on the menu. Food was FANTASTIC; served hot with friendly service
Driving through Shelby SO GLAD we did not stop at a chain restauant to eat.... next trip will stop there again
Finally! A place with authentic taqueria style tacos!! I've been waiting for this place to open for years! Had a barbacoa, pollo, carnita, and pastor. All delicious but the pastor taco takes the cake! Got a red salsa and a tomatillo salsa both were very flavorful and spicy and the house made tortillas setup the whole dish! Also to my delight it was TACO TUESDAY $1 TACOS!! The only thing they are missing is ice cold Modelo. Will definitely be back!!
