I am leaving this review just because I put some effort into it.
Montauk Rd. in Shirley NY is not the place that one thinks of going when you want authentic Jamaican cuisine. However, Trelawny's seems to be a breath of fresh air in a fast food/strip mall area. Just a 1/4 mile of the main drag (William Floyd Parkway) exists a new alternative in a food desert area. Wow, what flavor, and accommodating service. The owners are real people who opened a restaurant that refuses to compromise on the authenticity and freshness of their food. My favorite is the Jerk Chicken. The beef patties are also great. I am looking forward to trying the rest of the menu as well.
My one word of caution is that it is too easy to miss this place and some more care should be put into promoting that a restaurant even exists in that strip mall.
Omg the best food i loved everything about this place. The person who owns it was proud of her food and it made me very excited to try it when it came out it was amazing and so worth the try. Only thing was it took alittle to make call ahead if your in a rush wonr be disappointed.
I absolutely love this place, the food is freshly made to order, the company is good and what more can I say. they are even getting ready to offer monthly specials I can't wait!!!

The food was okay, but the service and people who work here are amazing and so sweet. Enjoyed my time there.
Great tasting food, I love their oxtails. I just wish that they would put a little more food in their large orders
