This was a pretty good place for the price. Not sure I would go out of my way again to go there but if I were in town I would eat here again. Nice staff and food was above average.
Good for what it is, which is an inexpensive Mexican restaurant. If you want sides with your dish you'll have to pay for them. The quality of the ingredients seemed better than average. The baked goods looked great too though I did not try them.
Really good "hole in the wall" Mexican place. I have tried half the menu and love everything. Food is cheap, portions are big. I try to stop by weekly.
Best in town and a very close 2nd if not a tie to a place I also like in Woodburn. Folks here are so nice and the high quality has gone unchanged over the years. Thanks!
Authentic home made, delicious. Not fancy inside but the food is worth going back to every visit in Silverton.
Dont let the dive joint fool you. Don't judge a book by its cover! This place may look bad, but oh the food is very authentic and delicious!
Omg, this place is goooooooood!!!!. Talk about some authentic mexican home cooking at its finest. after an experience in this modest establishment, you'll insist to go to the kitchen to hug the cook. there is nothing you get here that you'll turn your nose up to. for a quick meal, order a couple tacos at less than a $2 each. the Huarache was the dish that almost made me tear up out of love. i suggest you try it.
for the incredibly picky or those that don't want anything to fancy, try a tostada, a couple flautas, or even a burrito or two. like i said, you can't possibly order something you'll regret here.
just a bit of warning, the parking here is somewhat haphazard. its a small parking lot that'll fit several cars, but with no painted or marked spots, parking is however you decide.
omg... i may have to go back to this place tomorrow
Sooooo good! Best carnetas I' ve ever had. Clean interior. Genuine flavor...tastes like someones grandma is in the back making everything with care. I will definatly be back! :)
Delicious. Wonderful Mexican food, and friendly service!
A very good Chile Relleno. One of my favorite eat out dishes. The dish was made to order and the sauce was great. A white sauce with different spices than I have ever had before. They have very good authentic recipes. I will bring my family again to share the experience.
Fantastic. I live in Portland, so I don't get down there very often, but this small, inexpensive Mexican restaurant in Silverton has the best Mexican food I have had in Oregon. I have lived in Mexico, and was pleased that this place has lots of real Mexican dishes, not just the Tex-Mex same old same old. And they have Choco-Flan! Worth the drive!
Authentic Mexican food.... Not Americanized as in most "Mexican" restaurants in the valley. I asked the young lady behind the counter if they offered a sampler plate. She said "No". But they would be happy to make one up for me. I ordered a Carne Asada Taco, a Pork Carnita, and a Beef Flauta. They were served with sour cream on the side and a lettuce/cabbage salad. All for $5.25. Red and green salsa as well as a really good bottled hot sauce (I intended to note the brand, but forgot to do so) were provided. I have no real complaint with any of it but by way of mentioning it, I thought the salad could have been crisper and the Flauta could have been a bit more highly seasoned. A little more than half way through my lunch, I noticed that they have a decent selection of Mexican beer. A frosty bottle of Carta Blanca would have enhanced the experience. Next time! All in all, good south of the border style fare. Of all the Mexican places in Salem, there are only three or four I would consider better.
