Definitely love this place upon my first visit. My Sis got Mad Cuban Sandwich, while I got the Special with the potato sticks on it. Although I was happy with my choice, that Mad Cuban Sandwich I halved with her just took me all the way to another place of yummy-ness! I highly recommend this restaurant. The music playing inside was awesome too! It helped me channel my inner "Dancing with the Stars". The work staff probably got a chuckle out of my moves I performed at no charge as I refilled my soda at the machine. This place rocks! Love it! I have tucked this wonderful eating place/experience in my favorites and bookmarked this place for my future visits to Simpsonville. It will be a "have to go there" item on my check-off list. Tried Mad Cuban Cafe today for lunch, First time here. I had the "Cuban Gone Insane" 1/2 sandwich with the black beans and rice. The sandwich was awesome ,The black beans and rice was full on flavor as well, excellent meal, we'll put this on our regular routine..

Best Cuban food in South Carolina. The croqueta preparada was one of the best I ever tasted. This coming from a guy that grew up in Miami and knows Cuban food.

We ate at the Mad Cuban Cafe tonight for the first time. The food was made to order, fast and friendly service. The empanadas were so good! The Cuban and the gone bananas sandwiches were huge, and so delicious. We will definitely be going back again soon!
My daddy took me to eat here yesterday for the first time because he wanted me to try it since him & my mama ate here one time. I’m not very good at trying new places but I gave it a try last night and I was blown away by how good it was!! Excellent food!! Definitely will be back!!
Great find! A business associate and I came here for lunch. He's a Cuban sandwich lover. He had the "Cuban gone bananas" he said its was by far the best sandwich he'd ever had. I had lechon asado. Very moist and tasty.

I am not sure what else to say except for best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. I originally got the one without the plantain in it and then tried my husband's. I ended up liking his better and this was the end of my fear of putting plantain in a sandwich. From then on, I always get the Cuban gone bananas
Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had! Pork is full of flavor and juicy. Very authentic food. Great place for a great sandwich. Kids ask me to take them all the time.
I highly recommend The Mad Cuban. You can smell the flavor as soon as you walk in the door. This place offers authentic Cuban style food.
If your going for lunch, try to get there before noon, because the line will be long with everyone trying to get the best lunch Simpsonville had to offer.
I recommend the steak sandwich one bananas. I would have never thought of putting plantains on a steak sandwich, but let me just say that it was INCREDIBLE!

Wow!!!. Mad Cuban Cafe had been on my list of places to check out for some time, but now I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. We tried the Pan Con Bistec which was excellent and the Cuban Gone Insane, which was truly amazing! The Cuban go-to combination of ham, pork, cheese, pickles, and mustard, is combined with plantains and an awesome garlic sauce with just the right amount of kick. It's a perfect combination of spicy and sweet. Just writing about it now makes me want another one!
Even the rice and beans were great. Not overcooked and seasoned perfectly. That's pretty rare in my experience.
The atmosphere is relaxed and really more akin to a lunch place (it reminds me of the way pizza shops used to be in my youth growing up in NYC) than a dine-in evening destination, but this place isn't about fancy pants frilly tablecloths; it's about the food and this is food that is brilliantly conceived, very well executed, and made with love.
There are at least 5 things we didn't try that I'm dying to, so I'm definitely going to be spending a good bit of time at the Mad Cuban Cafe in the future.
User reviews. This place is great! DO NOT let its location in a shopping center fool you. This is unique, exceptional food! The staff was friendly and the kitchen immaculate (I could see all from the table I sat at). Whether you are a longtime Cuban foodie, or have never eaten anything save American fare, there is something here to please all!
Best Cuban in SC. I lived in South Fl for 30 plus years and there are many Cuban and Spanish restaurants but this being Cuban and my favorite is the best I've had in a long time, family owned and operated you'll feel right at home.... Excellent food
Great Cuban sandwich!. Have been multiple times and the Cuban sandwich is always great. Its big enough to share, or eat half and save the rest for later. Plus, it comes with rice and beans. The Cuban gone bananas adds plantains to the sandwich and gives it another level of flavor. The Media Noche is a smaller version with a sweeter, softer bread. Would love to see a larger variety of menu items in the future. Not a big fan of the dinner type offerings and sides are a little lacking.

The food and service was amazing! My fiancée is from the Florida Keys and we visit multiple times a year. I get my fix of Cuban food BUT now that we discovered this gem I don't have to drive 800 miles! We will definitely become regulars at Mad Cuban Cafe.

Awesome!. My husband and I went this past Saturday. I ordered the Cuban with the black beans and rice. He did not order as he was not hungry. Oh my gosh! This sandwich is amazing! The bread is perfect. It takes a few minutes for them to work their magic, but it is well worth the 6-8 minute wait! I ate one half of the sandwich and offered some of the other half to my husband. He ate about half and was hooked. He was back the next day (Sunday) and ordered the Cuban along with a stewed chicken Empanada. Run, don't walk to this wonderful little place!
The sandwiches are amazing along with empanadas. Please try this place in simpsonville!! Make sure you get a cafe con leche too along with a cuban gone bananas. Incredible!!

Awesome Cuban sandwich and empanadas . Not a lot of heat, just great flavors. They serve mojitos and beer. Open for lunch and dinner. Authentic!!
Oh yes! Allllll the goodness to authentic Cuban food! Of course, I tried the original Cuban to test the waters and it completely delivered! I’d go back just for that! The half portion is PLENTY to eat with a side of beans and rice. My friends got some amazing dishes as well and said it was incredible! We’ll be back to try the whole menu eventually! Staff were nice, efficient, and welcoming! Place was clean and decorated in a homey atmosphere!
I took my family of 5 here for dinner and everything we had was on point. We ordered the Cuban sandwich which had plenty of meat with a nice crispy crust, the Picadillo with fried eggs and the lechon (shredded pork). Everything we ordered was delicious and ask for the spicy sauce (mayonnaise base) which ties the rice and beans. We also order the colada with sugar, which is a double shot of extra strong espresso.
Omg!!! If you’ve ever had Cafe Cubano and haven’t been able to find it here, look NO FURTHER!! This place is the absolute BEE’S KNEES! Best service I’ve had in a while and the coffee is perfectly authentic. I’ve found my new spot! Thanks, Mad Cuban Cafe - you turned a 10 hr drive for coffee into a two hour drive (I live in Columbia) and I couldn’t be happier 🤗❤️

This is my second time eating here. Its extremely flavorful and delicious. Food is fresh and made on point. As a Puerto rican, its hard to find a good meal that isnt fast food. An actual dish! Me and my husband drove from north carolina, where there is no spanish food, to work in south carolina and we had to come back!!!!!!!

I am Cuban, so this definitely reminded me of my family’s cooking! I always recommend this place when people ask for authentic Cuban. The ropa vieja was extremely tender and juicy, will be getting this again!
