Don't listen to reviews of people who think they should be given free stuff just for complaining. This is a great place. Great people. Great prices. Give it a try and don't be a douche.

Came here on Mother’s Day (busiest day of the year). Place was packed but it didn’t matter. The food was awesome but the service was over the top good. Very fast but more importantly the servers and especially the male Manager were very friendly. If you haven’t been here before or in a long time, you need to come check them out. Just a good vibe!

Drinks were huge. Appetizers were tasty and they have large portions. Waitress was friendly but missed on a few things. Still a very pleasant experience.
Our food is always delicious from La Cocina. My last visit I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez (which is a taco, Enchilada, and choice of rice or beans). It was all delicious and it arrives to the table quickly. My husband got the lunch fajitas and his food was delicious as well. We are frequent patrons of the restaurant and have not ever been disappointed.
Every time my spouse and I come to this restaurant, we are never disappointed.
This past time, we got full off of the plates that we had and it costed $32.
The food comes out really quick, but they probably prep everything beforehand.
The waiters are always friendly as well!
We don’t have any complaints.
Only thing is, it is a family restaurant, so be prepared for there to be families and/or children. It’s not the quietest of atmosphere, but we don’t mind it much.
Nice clean place, good food presentation. My first time at a Mexican restaurant. Not as spicy as I thought so it was good for my taste. Hostess wasn’t very friendly but I think it was because she didn’t speak English. Waitress was great. Very friendly and attentive. We left a good tip. Remember everyone, these people are not making much money during COVID. Help if you can.

I travel a lot and eat Mexican at least once a week and this restaurant was the best I’ve had in a while.
The food and service was amazing. The salsa that they bring out free with the chips was the perfect balance of heat and flavor, perfecto. I had the lunch Texas Fajitas which was a large portion for the price. Also purchased was a taco salad, soft and hard taco, which were very big and full of flavor, and a enchilada meal. My daughter said the enchilada sauce was a little sweet and I agreed, it was a little on the sweet side, but other than that everything was excellent.
Every time I go to a Mexican restaurant I always ask if they have a homemade hot sauce and they had two, a red sauce and a green. I’m assuming the green was a tomatillo, but I chose the red because it was the hotter of the two. The homemade red hot sauce was full of flavor and heat, and I loaded up on it. I was not disappointed one bit.
Great food and service was my experience here. I’ll definitely come back while traveling through the area.

Please like our reviews. Wheelchair accessible yet be prepared for the fun entry way doors. There are 2 sets of doors back-to-back. Make sure to ask someone to help you enter or you'll be stuck between the 2. We never planned on eating here but we were famished after losing track of all time & space in the Walmart next door. The lights on the sign were mostly not lit but that didn't stop it from having guests! We ordered some kid sized horchata drinks (rice, cinnamon beverage). Big mistake...we should have ordered the large size... wow. Those were amaaaazing. I would return just for that. Our server was Ramses and he was super quick and efficient. He didn't need to right anything down. He was quick to get orders in and out. My husband ordered the beef fajita but we got the wrong meal... best mistake that could ever happen to us though...we got the "Texas" (chicken, beef & shrimp). Omg. Just go order ya the Texas and some extra tortillas and rice and it is enough to stuff the stomach of 2 hungry people. The portion was fitting to the name. I had the carne asada but the Texas took the cake. Will def be back later. I was quite impressed with how the food served was identical to the photos on the menu. Just wow. Highly recommend if you are in the Smithfield Walmart area.
Very very good. Highly recommend. First off walked in and the place was crowded. The lady said about a 15 min wait so we were ok with that wondering how that was possible, but litterly was sat less than 15mins very clean and organized. My wife and I ordered frozen margaritas strawberry to be exact. They were super good, and they put quite a bit liquor in it. Which I wasn't complaining. I order the 5 different enchiladas and my wife got fajitas. Our food was out with in 10 mins and was hot hot. It was super super good. Will definitely go back again soon.
THIS IS A VERY FRIENDLY RESTAURANT. SERVICE IS GREAT. MUSIC IS GREAT DRINKS ARE AWESOME. THE 2 BROTHERS WHO ARE MANAGEMENT OF THIS RESTAURANT MAKE YOU FEEL RIGHT AT HOME.

The restaurant was better looking than the food.
Enchiladas tasted like beef & ketchup rolled into a tortilla. The fajitas w/ chicken & shrimp for two Dry. The margarita on the rocks had a dead bug in it.
The service was good so no need to take it out on the waitress or cashier.
Food with good taste. Food cooked in great time. Not salty, which is a good plus for me. Atmosphere good.
Food is always good and comes out RIDICULOUSLY FAST. The server suggested the Quesadilla de Cocina and it was awesome! I placed my order, ate two chips and my food came out! I will be back
