This is a solid breakfast joint in a very quaint Danish town. The service is quick and the food is of great portion size. We ordered the turkey sausage plate, danish style pancakes with cinnamon Apple, and Chicken fried steak. The flavor was decent and I would definitely recommend them.
1. Special thin pan cakes
They use fresh fruits such as strawberry, blueberry, and banana. I don’t like pan cakes, but Paula’s Pancake House is different! Anyone can enjoy the thin special pan cakes.
2. Analog / Old style waiting system
They might need to change their awaiting system but I like it as an early bird because the early bird catches the worm. For weekend morning, you would need to wait 1-2 hours after 9:30am. However, the staffs manage the 40-60 customers waiting list well.
*Waiting list is not really First Come First Serve. It depends on your group size whenever they are available tables for the group size. For example, my group (2 parties) could get in later than behind of my group (6 parties)
Best in town pancake house!!!! Pleasantly surprised how delightfully delicious and worth the wait these pancakes were. Our two orders of the world famous Danish pancakes were topped with warm cinnamon apples & fresh strawberries with fresh whipped cream. The French toast was golden brown tipped with fresh whipped cream and practically melted in your mouth. The mimosa special for two was a delight and served with fresh squeezed orange juice. The juicer is visible besides the counter. The bacon was perfectly crispy. The eggs were prepared to order really well. The lovely staff was polite and friendly. The only drawback was the 40 minutes wait but not a surprise for a Sunday between 9-10am.
It was very long 40 minutes for table during the Winter holiday but it was worth it. Service was great and pancakes are amazing. Highly recommended
Many of my friends had been telling me about the Swedish pancakes here so it was on the top of my list to order. They did not disappoint, but the service could use a little bit of work. I ordered an iced coffee which j never received and I also ordered a side of hash browns which I had ti remind them ti bring when I was halfway done with my meal. They apologized for the potatoes and said she had forgotten to bring them. Overall it's a nice little breakfast place in town. Make sure to arrive early because it does get busy!
Great service. You have to order Paula’s special pancakes with the blueberries. I usually don’t care neither for pancakes, neither for whipped cream, but those ones are sweet just enough to want more. Get ready for a thirty minutes wait. Ohh and freshly squeezed actually sweet orange juice 😍
