Any restaurant is largely successful due to it's staff and the attitude they present. In the Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ store, I would like to compliment servers Daniel Salazar and Jessie Socha. During repeat visits, they, along with their excellent Manager "Josh", have always treated my family with the utmost in politeness, professionalism, respect and a genuine desire to please. It is evident that this staff understands and is passionate about the food industry and the customers they serve. They have always sought to make each visit special and treat the customer as they would wish to be treated themselves.
I had Garden Bar entered 2 or 3 times..Queso chips and Spinach artichoke a few times and everything was alright. The Mozzy sticks were bit soft n they could have been crispier. But I interacted with folks from different shifts on different days and they were all always nice. I mostly only did take out but still I had a good experience... except for Mozzarella sticks.
Food was very good. Not crowded. Still has salad bar but did not partake this time. Service a little slow due to staffing shortages but still overall good. Remains a favorite place to eat due to variety on the menu.
Had horrible experience with a waitress who complained about quitting before taking our order. Steak was tough and my wife had plate of yuck. Won't be back. 60 bucks for a horrible meal and a whiny waitress who talked of working long hours and quitting. I won't be back. This restaurant has gone downhill fast from where it was years ago.
