The chocolate donuts � are amazing! I have eaten them for 20+ years and have never been disappointed! Also get the English Muffin bread loaf, it makes the best toast ever

The best baked goods ever! A "must" stop when we travel from Grand Rapids to Chicago to visit our kids & grandkids. It's a tradition, donuts, coffee then we drive down to beach to enjoy them watching beautiful Lake Michigan 🍩🍪.

My boyfriend frequented Golden Brown Bakery throughout his childhood when his family went to South Haven on vacation. He has fond memories of this quaint bakery and café, so I was looking forward to experiencing it myself. Although a few things had changed on the café side since his last visit (you now order at the counter and the food is brought to your table, his favorite menu item was no longer on the menu, plasticware is used rather than regular flatware, etc.), it did not disappoint! The waitress and cook recreated my boyfriend's long lost favorite menu item, and it was delicious! He was so pleased that the waitress spent the time and made the effort to understand what the menu item was and then explained it to the cook who prepared it well. I had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so tender, and the gravy was seasoned and cooked perfectly! I also had a blueberry scone made with fresh local blueberries. It was delicious! On the way out, we decided to grab a couple of treats from the bakery to enjoy later in the day. My boyfriend chose an apple danish, and I chose a turtle brownie. Both were excellent! The entire staff was friendly and attentive to their customers. We had such a good experience that we visited again the next day.
Oh wow! This place is so awesome! The doughnuts are fresh and so tasty! We also ordered food from the cafe adjoined and let me tell you! Hands down! The best turkey club I’ve EVER! Had. Folks working are so friendly and took time out of their day to chat with me about mine. A must if your in south haven! Thanks y’all!
Unpretentious Cafe and bakery. The Cafe is where you order at counter then sit down and they bring you the food. Classic American options, decently priced. The food specials are great! Vegetarian options.

We were on a mini vacation to South Haven and stopped in for breakfast. I can honestly say it may be the best breakfast we have ever had in a restaurant. The French toast was warm and delicious. The hashbrowns were delicious and oh my goodness the corned beef hash was the best I ever had. The bakery goods are also amazing.
Grabbed a few donuts and some coffee to go! Everything was fresh and delicious. The store is a little old school but I appreciated that they had more than just drip coffee to go with my treats! Prices were reasonable and there was lots of variety to pick from. We got one donut, one fritter, two donut holes, a latte and a bottle of apple juice for 10 dollars.
Best cheese Danish and cinnamon rolls in South Haven! Your missing out of you don't check it out. Day trip or on vacation! The ladies working are so sweet!
I believe I already left a review, from when I visited the bakery the first time this summer. However, I need to add this; their gluten free items are amazing! I’ve dealt with this diet restriction for almost twenty years now and it’s difficult to find truly comparable items. Many places have greatly improved their products, but they still have that GF taste and texture. At GBB, their GF baked goods taste like the real deal!! So delicious.

Great location, good food, simple menu kind folks, great art!
Very friendly. We went on a weekend with great weather, and even though they were busy they knew how to help quickly. Loved all the goodies we got! Will definitely go back again.

They have amazing donuts and the absolute BEST gluten free donuts I've ever had. Recently, I had a less than perfect experience and the owner went above and beyond to make it right.
Their soups are delicious! I stop in for soup 2-3 times a week! There are usually 3-4 soups and a chili each day! The employees are helpful and pleasant! It has a delightful small town friendly atmosphere. Come enjoy!

This one is really good. Some of the staff at the one in St Joseph don't seem very happy. The bake goods in South Haven are very good!
This is our new favorite breakfast spot in South Haven. Everyone was very friendly and their breakfasts were very good and reasonably priced.
