The two ladies working there on Sunday were so polite and kind. The food was cooked well and I liked that they serve breakfast until 4pm because I was really craving it for lunch. Place was clean and cute. The place is cash only so keep that in mind before going in.

We stopped by this quaint little restaurant we've been hearing about for a Saturday morning breakfast. The food was good, but are server Lisa G made are experience fantastic. Her knowledge and caring made this trip special. We'll definitely be back!

Nothing to attract you aesthetically (run-down old building), but 3 visits all were pleasing with good food and decent service and reasonable prices. Definitely a "go-to" place for breakfast in the boonies.

Went there Monday after Easter. Portions were huge. Nice place off beaten path. Would definitely return!

Don't drive by because of the exterior (or the entryway). Go in and sit down. You'll be rewarded with a hearty breakfast at a great price. The person at the grill knows what they are doing. Excellent pancakes and coffee, eggs done right. Lots of small town charm.

Though I grew up in the area, I'd never been to the Katalina--boy was I missing out! Went there for breakfast with my dad, the prices for breakfast are outstanding. Waitress was super attentive and refilled coffee frequently as well as checking on how our meals tasted, etc. Will forewarn that the bacon comes crispy (sorry chewy-bacon fans!) but was delicious. Homemade bread is awesome! Will be frequenting this small-town small restaurant in the future!

Gracious and welcoming staff and our breakfast was perfectly prepared and DELICIOUS! We are from downstate and didn't know our way around, so we arrived at 11:17...breakfast ended at 11:00, but the cook (who is also the owner) very kindly offered to make us breakfast, anyway. 😊😊 We would DEFINITELY eat there again!!!

Local atmosphere. On slow days feel free to join in the conversation with the breakfast diners. Generous portions. Prices are $10 or less. Typical small town diner with a wide variety. A great place to meet.

It's a good restaurant. For somewhere as isolated and tiny as South Range, it's amazing! I had the Philly cheese steak, chips, pickles, and a soda, and it was only $8.75. Ambience is very homey and local.

The other reviews are correct, this place is a total diamond in the rough. Inconspicuous from the outside, and pretty basic, but clean on the inside. The food is amazing and the prices are great. The portions are good sized as well, if you leave still hungry, you probably already have a tapeworm.

The pancakes were really good. The biscuits and gravy were average. They really could use some staff. The limit staff ran their butts off. Long wait on food.
