This place is awesome! Super fun with a great atmosphere. Most seats have a harbor view. We watched people bring up lobster pots while we ate. It was so fun! This place is a must visit!! Also the first time we ever tried a lobster roll. Pretty good! My hubby enjoyed the clam chowder as well.

Read the reviews and held out for the grand finale of our trip to Maine. They did not disappoint. Had the Rolls Royce. As I've heard, it was the best lobster roll I've ever had. I've lived in New England my entire life. The freshest lobster, stunning views. Simply can't go wrong. Tucked away in what appeared to be a very quiet, unknown place. Then you get to the end of the island where you find just enough of the people in the know. Now you know too. Do NOT miss a chance to try this spot. Goes straight into my top 10 EVER!.

Ordered the lobster roll kit on Goldbelly. Packaged and shipping was great. It included two 4oz lobster containers, four rolls, two sea salt butter containers, mayo and even the paper holders and wet naps. Instructions for preparing were easy to follow. Everything tasted amazing. Will recommend and order from here again.

The best Lobster Roll I've ever had. My fiance and I passed many places on the way (we drove 2 hours to get this lobster roll) but I kept telling him we had to go here. We made it and it was well worth the drive. Quick, fresh, simple. We snagged an awesome seat on the water. The 5 stars speak for themselves. Literally nothing beats eating a lobster roll, fresh by the water, in Maine. The bun was perfectly toasted, the coleslaw was nice and creamy yet crunchy. We each got a lobster roll, shared a cup of chowder, and got 2 whoopie pies for dessert. It was all perfect. The best Maine lobster experience.

What a gem of a place to stop for a lobster roll. Food is great, location is beautiful. Went out of our way to go hear while heading up to Acadia and was totally worth it. Got to watch lobster fisherman unload their catch while eating delicious food as well as just enjoying the view out off the coast. Would definitely go back again if in the area!

The lobster rolls and other seaside food here are great. They are not the best in Maine, but it's location is the best place to enjoy a lobster roll. The views of the water, boats, and treeline make it a very Maine eating experience.

Fantastic authentic coastal Maine seafood experience. Views of the lobster boats in the harbor make a perfect background to have some fresh off the boat lobster rolls or stew. Great for kids, with plenty of outdoor seating. Definitely will be back.

Very limited seating and limited parking accordingly...lol, these are my only complaints. I would have loved to stay and see the sunset, but so many people were still in line, and well, like I said, limited seating. We still enjoyed walking around, soaking up the atmosphere and taking pictures like tourists. If you love lobster, you will love McLoons. The coleslaw is pretty good, but the "Lobster Rolls Royce" is perfect to split between 2 people, but you want to. Dinner seaside, relaxed environment, polite and friendly crowd. It was kind of like being invited to a family reunion New England style. What's not to like? Wicked great... everything. Thank you to McLoons Lobster Shack.

Delicious lobster rolls, crab rolls, and clam chowder as always! The crab dip not so much, but they gave that to us for free anyways so no complaints! Dessert also excellent. They also have fresh live lobster for sale. Truly a hidden gem, if you have time to make this detour on your trip for good lobster and vibes, it’s worth it.

This place truly deserves all of the "best of" accolades it has received. The setting is magical, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food - oh the food! I ordered the clam dip, grilled clams and lobster roll, with a delicious blueberry pie for dessert. Everything was perfect. This was my third time here and it is one of my absolute favorites.
