Absolutely amazing experience. I went for a birthday meal and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was amazing and exactly what you would expect the atmosphere was amazing and the food was even better. Would most deffo recommend.

Celebrating my husbands 70th birthday. Reserved a table which we were asked if it was ok. Very attentive staff and so friendly as always. Drinks and food ordered. Beautiful food, well presented and tasty. After eating Happy Birthday played and a dessert with candles appeared. Lovely surprise. Thank you very much for making it special 💖

Steak here is fabulous, I tried both Rossinie and Diane! Both are excellent! Staff are nice, vibe is lovely! Great place to hang out with friends or family. I understand why the previous comment complained about the services. It is probably too crowded, place is quite small, and there are just two people run the tables. But for the price and the value of the food, I think it's worth it!
Toilet is in the second floor, but clean and nice!
I will come back again to try the pizza!
Had a lovely pre theatre meal. All staff friendly and welcoming. Bee here a few times an nothing has changed consisent good food and service.
Excellent Italian pizzeria / restaurant. Lovely food, drinks and impeccable service. The place is clean and cosy with a warm atmosphere. Very popular, so booking is recommended. We had a wonderful evening there.
How can I explain how satisfied I am with this place. It wasn't the first time I've visit, but this time I went with more 5 people, all the food was wonderful, something that I can't describe how good it was. Then the desert, OMG, they did amazed me. Will recommend everyone to visit Mamma Mia for any dish, they are very good, and Mario, the waiter is the greatest host, you will have a good time having him taking care of you!
Had a great meal having not visited in a long time. If you take time stewing over your order I suggest you look at the menu in advance. There is a large selection of Pizza, Pasta, Steak etc. The food was lovely and the staff very nice. Service was prompt but not rushed.
The restaurant is small so I would always advise to book in advance, even for 2. There is limited parking outside pay and display or free after 6.
My wife and I recently had a lovely evening at Mamma Mia in Southport. Great food , attentive and good humoured young staff and a wonderful ambience. Highly recommended

I’ve been visiting mama Mia’s for around 20 years now, the food and service has always been 100% sometime I don’t visit for 6 months but always get treated the same 🥳👌♥️
Ate with a group of 20 after a theatre visit. Despite the latish time, and all ordering different items, the food was served quickly, it was tasty and piping hot. All by friendly staff.

5* for Lydia for saving the day…
We hadn’t noticed Mama Mia before, strangely enough after visiting Southport for many years. We have always had a family dinner party for mum at another Italian on the corner, two doors down and did so this time. We stayed over in Southport and returned to the other place the following night. A totally different team with zero interaction this time. After 20minutes without even the offer of a drink we left. Taking a sharp left we noticed Mama Mia. Immediately we were welcomed by Lydia who seated us at a table in the window and before we knew it we had wine and a menu. What a friendly young lady. We were still a bit fed up from the other place and we changed our choices at Mama Mia. Lydia was patient and smiled throughout. I can say I have a favourite dish I choose at another Italian restaurant up North but as of now, Mama Mia in Southport has surpassed that same dish and have some new customers. Chicken Mama Mia is incredible here at this restaurant. Whoever took Lydia on had the right idea. Ideal for the job and thanks again to her for saving the day! ;)
Why the 4* atmosphere…. There was a single diner prattling on his phone through headphones throughout his entire meal. Old enough to know better but probably didn’t want to look silly on his own? Sounded silly mind you! ;)
Amazing place, nonetheless. Will return for sure!
