We really enjoyed our visit to Totonacos! The food was delicious and the presentation of each dish was unique and appealing. The chips were fresh and their house salsa was perfect. We were really hungry and they kept us satisfied. Our waiter was attentive and kind even though they were shorthanded. The guacamole, burritos, enchiladas, and the rice and beans were all tasty. I especially loved the tomatillo sauce. Highly recommend.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. If you're sick of the same old restaurant chains and feeling a craving for Mexican food, give Totonacos a try. The fajitas were awesome. One of the fajitas comes out served in a flaming piña. Excellent food and excellent service. Fair prices for the massive portions. We will be back, this place rocks!!
It was really unique Mexican food! I like that It’s unlike other Mexican food I’ve had! It was pretty good I wouldn’t say it was fantastic! I’d recommend it, a fun place to eat it! Maybe a little pricey a burrito was $13 or $14. The food looked beautiful it was very carefully made which really impressed us! Definitely worth mention my wife’s stomach has not felt well with the food for about a whole day (which is not typical for her and Mexican food).
I loved it. I ordered online for take out and the ordering made me feel a little uneasy since there was no confirmation. I called and the guy was so nice! They didn't have what I'd ordered so he made a an amazing California burrito as a replacement. It was huge! Filled up the whole Styrofoam box. Extremely nice when I went in to get the food also. Definitely will gi back and so good I'd recommend my grandma to go!
This place is pretty dang good! I have had good Mexican food before but this is just amazing. The chori queso is to die for!! The Al pastor tacos were what really made me want to just melt in happiness. They were so delicious and flavorful - they also had pineapple in the taco which some places don’t do! Julio was also so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. We also ordered the enchiladas verdes which were very good too and the shred burrito was pretty good too!
We went with a group of friends and had a great time. From the road it didn’t look like much. The inside is cute and the food was great. The portions were large. It felt like a great value.
It's a small place, a little it of the way, but worth it. They have a burger that is actually really good. The burritos and tacos are also good. It can be a little slow when they are busy, but not too overwhelming. The chips and salsa are pretty good too.
I feel silly that I haven't been here before, but my wife and I tried it for the first time Saturday night. Absolutely loved it. Manuel was great as our server. I asked him what he recommended and he enthusiastically spouted off 3 or 4 top choices.
Food was great. I've been to a number of other Mexican restaurants in the south utah county area and I felt like they were good, but nothing stood out. Totonacos stood out and we will definitely return.
Flavors were great. Service was great. People should definitely give it a try.
If I have one small request.... add more queso to the choriqueso. The chorizo was amazing, but so is the queso it is in and it needs about twice as much queso in it!
Thanks for a great date night.
Best Mexican food in Utah county. Their food is homemade & fresh. Locally owned, great service & location. We got the 3 chimichanga meal, the 3 enchilada meal & an order of queso cheese. It costs a little less than cafe rio or costa vita & it’s not from plastic bags. Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed it here, this is a nice little restaurant with a great feel to it. I got 4 tacos and they were a decent size just for 1, so the 4 did the trick. Their steak was not chewy or gristle like some other places, and the chicken was cooked really good as well.
I had a really attentive waiter, he made sure I was always topped off with water, and whatever else I would need. Thanks guys
Soooo good! The flavors were amazing, everything was fresh, the service was speedy and pleasant, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.
Update: We've been back many times since this review and it is still our favorite Mexican restaurant. We have introduced it to family and friends and it has never ceased to wow everyone. I have recently tried their fish tacos and the homemade sauce they put on them is BOMB.
This is the last Spanish Fork Restaurant I haven't been to yet, and definitely didn't disappoint. To make it clear, we will be coming back again. The interior is much much larger and well decorated than I was led to believe by just looking through the windows. The atmosphere is nice and the music that plays is tasteful Latino music rather than the stereotypical mariachi style music. It played into a nice cool soothing tone that allowed you to relax while you ate food. The server was very clear and helpful, helping me to choose the dish that would best represent totonacos as a whole. We ordered the pineapple fajita as per his recommendation, along with some bean and cheese nachos. The pineapple fajita is definitely a showstopper dish, as it comes out from the kitchen on fire and is a pineapple packed full of their finest meats and served alongside 3 flour tortillas, beans, rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, and sour cream. It was a fun choose your own adventure type dish where you could build it the way you wanted, and I highly suggest getting their hottest hot sauce on there because it has a deliciously smoky flavor to it. The food was super hot and kept well, and everything was seasoned very nicely, though the beans could use salt. Their chips are very thick and not served warm, but they do have a very nice flavor to them. The free salsa is also a little blanding on the tomato-y side, but works as an appetizer. Their cheese sauce is also incredibly good, to the point that we think next time we will order the pineapple fajita again and just order a cup of cheese sauce to dip with the free chips!
Good job to Totonacos for being the last ones on my list to complete my Spanish Fork journey, and certainly not being the least!
On May 5th I tried the burrito Colorado, and it was incredible. Slathered in cheese sauce, it was so good!!
Tonight my hubby and I decided to try Totonacos. This restaurant was fantastic! The owners have done a great job in remodeling the building that they are in. It is very clean and the decor is tasteful. The staff was very friendly. We were served chips and salsa while we waited for our meal. I could tell everything was made from scratch. So good! We decided to try the Totonacos Fajitas as suggested by the owner. They did not disappoint! These nachos had chicken, shrimp, chorizo, onions and green peppers. They were delicious. I noticed that everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious as well. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
Service was great in every way, quick and friendly. The food not only tasted delicious but was plated well, so it looked delicious too.
We’ve been here quite a few times. Their fajitas are the best!!! The pineapple one is the most popular. This last time we tried the Texicano which was great. The steak was tasty but had quite a bit of fat on it. service is really good. I highly recommend this place.
We had a great dinner! The pineapple fajita was amazing and the chimichangas were great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. The pineapple dish was literally flaming! This was the perfect meal for after a long day of hiking.
Great restaurant! Huge portions! Very friendly staff. We ordered the pineapple fajitas. They were delicious. The horchata is exceptionally good. The house made guacamole was very fresh. I love that you get chips and salsa when you are seated. Such a great restaurant.
Stopped here for lunch since I read the good reviews. We were seated promptly and greeted by the staff as we walked to our table.
The restaurant is very clean, it has very nice decor as well. We ordered the queso and chips as an app,I had water and my husband had jamaica. I'm an avid water drinker and was so happy that they use filtered water not just tap because it was really good water, lol! Sorry, I pay attention to things like that. My husband's jamaica was also very good, I'm almost sure they actually brew it themselves.
Now the food... the queso was delicious and the chips are very fresh and warm.
My steak chimichanga was very tasty and filling, it came with rice, beans, and toppings for the chimichanga. The rice was perfectly cooked and tasty.
As you can see from the pictures, both plates have most of the beans left, unfortunately, those weren't very good. They tasted like canned beans 😬🤔
My husband had the chimilovers plate, both the shrimp and chicken were great, BUT, sadly the beef one was lacking flavor. He described it as tasting like hash, which he absolutely dislikes.
Our server was polite and friendly, even though he didn't laugh at my sarcastic jokes 🤷♀️ he looked kinda offended, lol!
Definitely recommend this establishment, just ask that they hold the beans 😉 😀
